I'm no expert, but I'm expecting her argument to be that (if it's even in the contract, which is complete speculation) if the con offered a safe environment for the guests, and she feels her safety is in danger for X reason, Kamehecon breached first.
I think that most reasonable people would agree that Kamehe Con's hired event security staff should be sufficient to ensure that one guest (who they'll undoubtedly be watching closely) won't pose any significant threat to her safety, and Kamehe Con could certainly argue that it did not justify her breaking her contract.

Nick might be able to land a tortious interference win for Vic but he can't land a C combo for Nero :story:

I know this, you know this. Monica might be putting the blinders on and insisting the monster isn't real. I just don't know how strict the contracts are and what stipulations they might have.

So its up to Kamehacon to take Monica on for Breach of Contract, since she did the whole "Vic goes or I go" she may not have a leg to stand on even hiding behind "It's for my safety" bit.

Oh she gets hit from two sides. The Con goes after her for the Breach. (Which honestly is unlikely unless she somehow costs them a lot of money. In most cases they would just ignore the breach and never let her in again. The only thing that might prompt them to act is her promise to setup an outside venue to do her fan meet/signing. Yeah, that's gonna piss them off. ) But Vic also gets to go after her for this. This makes his TI case a slam dunk. She threatened the con to breach his contract, then followed through on that threat, doing material damage to the con operators all while continuing to defame Vic with Malice. This is yet another example of these mental children that so populate the anime industry who at every turn when faced with a real life grown up situation will absolutely make the wrong choice and always make whatever decision that will make their situation worse. Every time without fail they make it worse. Monica is seemingly the absolute worst player for this. She gets her retraction letter and answers it on Twitter. At every turn she continues the defamation. Openly opts for TI while the lawyers are watching. At every step she does the wrong thing.

It would be worse if discovery comes and a text message or a phone call is discovered with Rial or someone saying that Rial will cop out if Vic comes to the con.

I'm pretty sure Ty already knows of those and/or has them. That's what he was talking about last night where in the old days this would be a face to face conversation that left no record and could not be proven. But these idiots generate a permanent electronic record with every stupid thing they do. Ty and the Amazon's likely have that conversation. The Kamehacon owner probably gave it up.

So she supposedly doesn’t feel safe at the con, but will still go to the same city and set up a “signing” somewhere close by.

Where there will actively be less security.

A+ thought process.

Remember, this is someone who repeatedly makes wrong decisions that will bite her later.
She is making too easy for The Beard.

Monica Rial just cancelled her KamehaCon appearance.

Fuck this cold fish.

I hope she's ready for her future, where she is now an unreliable VA who breaks her contracts. If you want to have a con, you want the VAs to show up, not just refuse to show up in an infantile tantrum. Anyone in the future considering VAs for a con knows who to avoid.

Well he did say he wanted to get a capture card and play Battletoads on the NES for us. LOL.

I love Nick. He's the same gen as me I think. Maybe a little younger.
Judging by Nick's warming up, I'd not sure he'd make it all the way to The Revolution, no warp zones.

and deAR GOD DID HE JUST SAY HE'S ON KEYBOARD

To be fair, one of the reasons I got into Goblin Slayer was because his English dub voice actor, Brad Hawkins, was none other than the motion capture artist for the Doom Slayer in the 2016 Doom reboot. I also like Rising of the Shield Hero and KonoSuba.

I don't see anything wrong with watching a show just to watch a VA you like. I've gotten interested in a few anime just for some of my favs.

except that would be blatant leak of contract with TFS and while suing Toei would be hard (not that that's how'd that'd even go down, i'll get to it in a minute) they could very easily sue youtube for breach of contract because they suspended their channel for no good reason. why would this apply? fun fact, terms of service are in fact contracts. while many do include a "we can ban you for any reason" clause, it does not cover or let them lie about the reason and that will lead to a very entertaining lawsuit. true, TFS could be soyboys and let it go, but it is their livlihood and baby. I doubt they will. then theres the fact that fanboys will just tweet, mail, and email TFS clips to Toei to piss them the fuck off.

on the other hand, that's not how youtube works. you get a strike, you dispute it, they can reject it, then you can say "if you think i'm wrong about fair use, then sue me", and then Toei either has to or admit its wrong. so far? not a single japanese company has been bold enough to even think about firing that gun. further, nowadays all strikes from a single company count as one strike until fully resolved. only when 3 are resolved and found simple, then yeah.

This isn't considering the fact that technically, they could just decide to nuke the vids, being simply posting vids directing people to their site, then putting other, non-DBZ content just to tell Toei to suck a bag of dicks.

not really. with the internet and subbing culture, getting subs would be so easy for studios, it's honestly probably better they do this anyway. if what some people say about the US's share of profits is true, probably would make them more money to cut the dub weebs off the fat.

CAN TFS win a lawsuit against Toei or Youtube for the unlawful takedown of their fair use stuff? Sure, maybe. Probably. WILL they? No, because they don't have the funds to try to start that lawsuit, much less finish it.

Besides that, they wouldn't want to sue Toei, that would directly interfere with the production of new Dragonball stuff. And they won't risk Toei pulling that trigger, because they have no response if Toei decides they've hated tFS so long it's worth the effort.

Uhm, no.

Goblin Slayer was attacked by Cordyceps brain stemmed-SJWs because of the fact that the source material has to deal with Dark High Fantasy with a setting that has people come to understand why monsters such as the lowly goblins of typical jRPG/wRPG setting are actually despicable filth that breed by raping, impregnating and killing human women while massacring humans in general for domination and pleasure, and why a hero adventurer simply referred to as the titular "Goblin Slayer" would commit himself to a career of hunting and slaying only goblins.

They didn't read the source material (in which you could read the thought bubbles of the titular creatures) and attacked for being sexist and misogynistic because of the brutal and graphic depictions of said content (which on the aired anime is NOTHING compared to that actual LN content), because of the stylistic choice of showing and not telling the setting during EP1.

People getting sick of this shit simply defaulted to anyone complaining about this "edginess" correctly having not researched the source material, and this carried over to Tate No Yuusha no Nariagari (The Rising of the Shield Hero) -- except that it didn't work then either, because the LN author Aneko Yusagi is female and wrote the story exactly for the themes of exploring how a hero in a Isekai story would deal with being made into a martyr and punching bag due to false allegations.

You're trying to compare an apple (Ecchi Comedy Isekai Anime) to a durian (Dark High Fantasy Isekai Anime), there is no real comparisons to be made between the two, except to the immature, uninitiated and uninformed masses who don't look past the MAL entry descriptions and the screaming heads of Cuck-Soylent-FunkoPop anime bloggers.

They actually attack all of these anime equally, because they fucking hate all of the following:
  1. Tits
  2. Ass
  3. Fun
  4. Non SJW-compliant talking points any episode could be mined for OOC
  5. Fun
  6. Interesting Topics/Subjects/Ideas that r/woosh over an SJW's sensibilities.
  7. Anything "problematic" that they can throw at the wall to make stick to win an ideological argument.
  8. Fun
Both animes (Shield Hero and Goblin Slayer) take the source material seriously because they're "serious" anime;

Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! (KonoSuba: God's Blessing on this Wonderful World! ) is not a "serious" anime, it's a dysfunctional comedy -- OF COURSE IT'S PLAYED OFF AS A JOKE, IT'S FANSERVICE AT 110%!

I don't know how you're firing this wide from the hip, but reel it back a couple of notches.

Can you pull back a little on that wheelbarrow of crazy? I don't think this is the right thread to get into a war about whether Goblin Slayer is the worst dumpster fire of an anime to ever slip and fall out of Fakku or whether it's amazing. Goblin Slayer was attacked because it's a trashy ecchi anime that pretended to be a deep dark fantasy anime. It hid its terrible and lazy writing behind vapid fanservice of the violent and sexual kinds and 'wink-wink we're self aware' nods that don't actually excuse the bad writing like it thinks it does.

Yes, predatory SJW types jumped on the criticism and raised a fuss, but you don't need to be a SJW to think it's trash, or that it's gross. And that's coming from someone who unfortunately ended up watching it all the way through in sub and in dub. The SJWs involved in that fiasco just jumped onto Shield Hero when GS ended because they thought they could continue with the outrage they partook in during GS. However, Shield Hero is an actually good anime, and so if you see anyone calling it woman-hating trash, you can quickly suss out they're not actual viewers of the anime, just virtue signalers.

And apparently you didn't grasp this because you were too busy having a fit that someone didn't like your anime, but my point by mentioning Konosuba is that if any anime should be considered 'woman hating' or 'problematic', then it should be something like Konosuba where it plays off fake allegations as a joke and that women just throw them around randomly to get what they want. Shield Hero focuses on the damage it does and shows that only the most vile people would make such an allegation, compared to Konosuba suggesting 'any girl will use it to control a guy with no concern for what that does to him'. The fact that it isn't by-and-large given that treatment (at worst it's just looked down on for being ecchi isekai and the source of so many bad copy anime) shows that the whole outrage toward Shield Hero is manufactured nonsense and not a genuine reaction.

Yeah this seems to have been ignored a bit but apparently Iago has bragged about being rich online so if we could find a post from Chris or Adam or anyone else who could be Iago bragging about being rich then that would help to narrow down the list.

The best I've found so far is that Sean was provoked into bragging about his wealth, but Sean being Iago is a bit too enlightened an idea for me. If Ty dropped the hint though, it's findable.

Only VA that comes immediately to mind is D.C. Douglas, the house videos, the garden videos, just him constantly using his wealth as a burn on people.

It seems like I heard someone say that he's been deconfirmed. But then Nick said he doesn't know for sure, so I guess not?

Considering she and her conspirators threatened to breach contract before this, there is no way to escape the conclusion that this is simply retaliation.

Protip for these two clowns - despite what your echo chamber may have told you, a bunch of randos telling you to go neck yourself isn't considered a legitimate threat on your life.
Maybe not in Minecraft, but on Twitter it probably is.

No wait, it's "encouraging or promoting harm to self or others" or whatever they call it.
I know this, you know this. Monica might be putting the blinders on and insisting the monster isn't real. I just don't know how strict the contracts are and what stipulations they might have.
These contracts are extremely simple. Ty said that Todd's contract was 3½ pages long, including the signature block.
I love Nick. He's the same gen as me I think. Maybe a little younger.
In Friday evening's stream they mentioned that Nick would've been 6 in 1987.

Sadly, yes, keyboard.

Also when does this go on sale. Looks like a great successor to DMC4, but I never buy things on Steam full price.

I'm about the same age and would be completely lost with these movies with interactive button mashing. It's gonna be a shitshow.
He needs to break out Life Force and show these youngin's how it's done.

You want guests not interfering with other guests and not causing phone calls from the other guests mean lady lawyers. I do love how she is so sad to disapoint all of her fans... all 10 or 12 of them that want to see 4th replacement Bulma! She would be like Linda THorsen (not Emma Peel) cancelling an appearance at a British "Avengers" (The classic UK TV show) con. Nobody cares because they are all there to see Diane Rigg (Emma Peel). Nobody cares about the third string Emma Peel replacement. Nobody cares about the 4th string English Dub Bulma replacement.
