Cross post from the A&H thread.
So this turned into a sperg but I really dislike these bitches:
The Krassensteins are known criminals that got a pass from the Obama DoJ and almost immediately started shitposting nonstop about Trump.
They had to repay a ton of money to people they scammed after getting caught working with
RUSSIAN criminals. Ed disclosed that they were Russians on his site because he is that tremendously exceptional.
After that site got blown up they started IR.Net which never took off because they tried to get legit traffic to it and unsurprisingly no one was willing touch these guys with a 10' pole unless they are sketchy themselves. Cut to them hooking up with some loser from Business Insider
coughs and starting HillReporter.com which was named and branded, in my humblest of opinions, in an attempt to confuse the morons that follow these two into believing there was some association with The Hill. The color scheme wasn't too far off and the branding was a bit close as well. They changed that months ago
for some reason.
HillReporter.com has very little reach outside of the three founders' Twitter feeds and the feed of whatever chump they convinced to hack up someone else's story and mush it together into something they can call their own.
I highly suspect this site is just another Ponzi scheme:
Their site shows up out of nowhere and immediately has 1-2m impressions a month, low engagement, insane bounce rate - Red Flag #1
Their traffic is 75% from Social Media - Red Flag #2
Of that social traffic 88% is from Twitter - Red Flag #3
None of these things on their own are damning but when you add them together and remember who is running the show it feels like a scam.
My suspicion is that they flooded their site with bot traffic through Twitter in hopes of dodging questions about having massive traffic that appeared overnight, fails to interact with their site, and doesn't carry their links to other forums/sites/etc. Even when you compare their stats to other popular leftist
nues sites you see that they don't stack up in terms of engagement or source of traffic:
Politico: Note the engagement appears solid. People interact with this site. They visit multiple pages. They stick around.
The Hill: They have lower engagement than Politico but they also have a variety of traffic sources.
MotherJones: A lot of social traffic but not from one source.
I used these three sites as comparison because they are leftist garbage or just questionable in general.
If I saw traffic coming to my sites that wasn't performing, checked out the source and saw this shit I'd kill the campaign immediately and seriously debate refusing to pay for the traffic. That probably isn't really a concern for them since they don't seem to monetize their traffic. In fact I can't figure out how they generate any actual revenue given the very lonely ads they do run are generic network display bullshit.
This lack of revenue doesn't seem to have stopped them from bringing in writers to vomit narrative all over their site. It is also peculiar that they started bringing in new voices as traffic plummets. This might be causing you to ask, "SmileyTimeDayCare why would those two things coincide? Shouldn't more content mean more traffic?"
Well, if you approach someone and say, "Hey can I have some money for this righteous cause and look how well it is doing" then point to months of growth you can con more people into throwing quarters in your jar
or maybe one big fish.
Once you have some shekels you can pump the brakes on trash traffic and hope no one noticed that you are inflating your numbers so when cash gets low again or your previous investors start sniffing around inquiring about the drop in traffic/lack of return you simply open the throttle again and say, "We'll we're doing better now!" get money from some other people, pay the previous whiny investors and keep on grifting but you have to show some effort so you underpay some hacks to write a few thousand words and create the illusion of
real work--of progress.
Anyway that's my take on their latest effort. They're scumbags and the clock is ticking on the next DoJ raid on their shit. They are the Fauxistance probably a scam but also possibly funded by anti-Trump lobbies/Soros-like globalist scum.
Oh and check out this sweet fucking graphic design work on IR.Net. These guys are clearly not saving cash by doing the work themselves.
