Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Have to ask since I havent been here from the beginning but was there THIS level of outrage when he was still kept on for anime matsuri?
As far as I remember, Vic was never dropped from Matsuri. However Vic was dropped from Kamehacon and subsequently invited back. That had to have ticked people off.

No wonder. I always suspected that he's a snake.
He only got as big as he is now because he sucked off Rhymstyle at every opportunity.
And now that RhymexNano is so huge he tried really hard to get into that. He was really shit at Dokkan and Naruto Blazing.
And embarassing at fighting games. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't have some skeletons in the closet lying around.
I just have a lot of hatred for that cunt.

edit: What I'm trying to say. HE would know. (Because he'd likely be a part of them.)
You talking about Senju? I don't think he's involved in this at all, looks more like he's laughing at how people are sperging out about Vic being invited and are now pulling shady shit.

How can you be shit at Dokkan? It's barely even a game (but damn has it suckered me in since I started last year).

Pretty much, yeah.
It's part of why #KickVic and Lauren are so fucking agitated.

In a little over a month and a half, Rekieta and Vic have become an inescapable terror for them to the point Mrs. "I WILL NOT BE HARRASSED" slowed her fucking roll and decided to chill with the Homeland Security bullshit, and everyone who isn't down in the trenches with #KickVic are now reading, retweeting and consuming pro-Vic content, news and material.

It's goddamn beautiful.
This is all interesting to me because before university/lawschool/work I was an uber anime fan. (I grew up on Starblazers season 1/2, Voltron (Lion/Vehicles), Robotech (Macross/SC/Mospeda) somewhere along the line a cowoker got me into Ranma 1/2. We didn't quite have common use of the interwebs back then (seriously an @something email was rare). Still however, it tickles my cockles to see a community get more legally educated and fight a good fight. As for HomelandSecurity... They have bigger real fish to fry.

I sincerely hope Ty uses the Wave Motion gun against the #kickvicclownrodeotypes

wait subs vs dubs isn't ironic? probably due to me only really following jojo in terms of anime. I'm kinda surprised since a lot of those actors are considered iconic to their respective roles. like people might like Matthew Mercer as jotaro for example, but a lot of people just think Daisuke Ono's performance is perfection for the character. Maybe the debate is more prominent in other franchises though (such as, say dragon ball I assume is one of those properties). otherwise the only other one that might be a improvement over the original I could think of that's agreed on massively is Ghost Stories.
A bit late on this (I'm reading through all of this, 40 pages, goddamn), but if there's one franchise where subs vs dubs is very serious, it's the Pokémon franchise. Dub fans hate sub fans, and sub fans especially hate the dub, not just because the VAs are considered to be much worse, but some details are drastically changed to the point where it makes no sense (jelly filled donuts come to mind), and the sub also goes as far as using the games' music many times (one of the best examples is using Snowbelle City's theme for the scene where Stoutland dies in the S/M anime, at 11:30 of that episode), while the dub completely replaces it with generic, boring music. That last one is so staggering there's an entire Twitter account dedicated to making fun of the dub's changes to music.

People really wanna believe a couple VAs and some other irrelevant people cancelling their attendance is going to kill the con. Lol no, sorry.
Especially when much more relevant VAs like the Japanese VAs and the ocean dub VAs are attending

Lauren with another hot take about Nick

Remember Ty's reference to Chruchill's speech.

We just fought off the Luftwaffe with the KC re-invite, but we're a long way off from storming the beaches of Normandy. I think we have to invade Italy ("The soft underbelly of Europe") first, or somesuch shit. I think the Italians are the people who will turn against the ringleaders (the Germans) as this intensifies more and more.

You talking about Senju? I don't think he's involved in this at all, looks more like he's laughing at how people are sperging out about Vic being invited and are now pulling shady shit.

That was my impression too. It didn't seem like he was taking a side. He's just lamenting how KC has become a drama show, and people are looking to run gay ops.

I think he's wrong about KC being fucked though. I think Vic has enough support to make the con a success.

GTFO.

Just no.

First of all, he doesn't own a fucking company (unless you wanna count that shit house of a website, Colony Drop), and he's not rich. Him and Hope are barely scraping by out in California.

Also, Ty seemed really disinterested in ANN. Unless Ty is now playing 5D chess, and is using the most brilliant of misdirection the world has ever seen.

I know you hate him, and I agree he's an annoying faggot that is going to get his one day, but almost none of your points correlate to what Ty said that night about Iago.

EDIT: Also, this is a extreme minority opinion, and Ty said that MOST people are right. That means the short list is Sabat, and maybe a few names on the RT side that people have tossed out.

I'm certain it's Sabat. He has money; this was the house he bought in 2016 for $749K (https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/6860-Spring-Valley-Rd-Dallas-TX-75254/26870568_zpid/). Now if only that "bragging about money" portion would be discovered.

Aside from breach of contract, I'm pretty sure charging back because you changed your mind after you entered a nonrefundable contract is also credit card fraud. Sounds like a great idea, doesn't it. Your bank will love you for it.

Also get this Russell guy replying with the solid legal advice: "Not if you don't name them it isn't" :story:

Help, somebody call Nick! Somebody is wrong on the internet.

while he's uber late, he's right.

The lore behind all of the PokéFeuds will have you unironically screaming "TRANS RIGHTS!" because of how much ass Blausine kicked, and upset at the musical scores for a week.

Yes, because if Ty giving a shout out to KF, and saying he's intrigued by the info we mine, is anyhow prejudicial, that's absolutely what a lawyer with decades of experience would do.

These morons really think anything is admissible, don't they?
They have those years of Cop Procedural experience.

"Your Honor, sure there's gallons of evidence that we coordinated our efforts to ruin somebody with lies. But his lawyer looked at a web site that said not-nice-things about fat weirdos!"

I bet $15 dollars that the defense will argue exactly that.

And when they do, I want one of the ALOD to show them what a PULL thread looks like --

The court and jury will realize we're being more civil than the opposition ever would.
