It's seriously odd that the lower level VAs are the ones leaving. I think it's more likely that Monica is contacting each of them and convincing them.

With the exception of Jason Douglas, every Funi VA that has pulled out so far, followed up their apology with a "I'm/we're working on a way to make it up to you" (Wiedenheft also followed hers up with a post saying "I live here in TX so the chances of us meeting and/or reuniting are pretty dang high".).

It's clear that they've been discussing dropping out of the con with one another, but the similarly worded claims of currently "working on making it up to the fans", makes it almost appear as if they're also scheming behind the scenes to screw the con and hold their own little separate event nearby. Regardless, this is some of the pettiest crap I have ever witnessed.

Exactly! Call me when one of the main VAs drops out. Most people want to see the originals and main character VAs. The "replacements" and bit characters are a bonus, but they aren't drawing people to cons.
Ultimately no one really cares that much. Most fans would rather meet Broly VA than the Kai+Super Bulma/Monaka/Zeno/etc. VAs

it's minor VAs dropping out because they wouldn't have made much money anyway. The big names aren't likely to drop because they'll actually make some money and it's not worth it. Except Monica, who wouldn't have made any money anyway because her lines are nonexistent despite voicing every annoying female character in recent anime.

I would also watch out for Chris Rager - Mr. Satan (Hercule) If Buu drops there's a high probability that he will too since they are very buddy buddy on Twitter.

I'd be stunned and disappointed if Ian Sinclair dropped out. He's one of the most prolific dub VAs out there, next to people like Greg Ayres. (Ian plays the irreverent playboy in every anime ever and Greg plays the male kouhai delinquent.) He has no reason to listen to Sabat or beg for Funi's money.

Eric Vale would be foolish if he dropped out since he's going to make good money on the con and I'm pretty sure, like Kirbopher, he's a potential target.

Again, I'll fully believe, support, respect, etc etc. I think anyone would say that. But the moment she tries to go after the other person, she had better be prepared to back it up, since it's no longer about personal healing or counseling.

Which is something everyone seems to be forgetting. You'll see "But what if it was your sister/wife/daughter/niece/aunt who was assaulted?" But you'll never see the question "But what if it was your brother/husband/son/nephew/uncle (or sister/wife/daughter/niece/aunt, let's be inclusive here)" who was accused of rape?"

If the guest tried to change their mind and claim that the contract was still valid, it would depend on whether their table was even still available. If the table was still available, the guest could possibly retract their statement and fulfill their obligation under the original contract, but if the table had already been sold, it would be too late. (Selling the table to someone else would help to mitigate, i.e. reduce, the damages caused by the other party's breach, however.)

I think you might be conflating the deal they have with their guests with those they have with vendors and artist alley types. Presuming they’re not trying to take a cut of sales or something like that (how would that be enforced if so?), then the artist/vendor has paid their table fee to the con, and that’s it. The fee having been paid, they could not bother actually showing up, and it’s all the same to KamehaCon (though I’m sure they’d prefer if they did because empty tables look bad).

The 502 is getting crazy. Null should set a patreon to buy better firewall/load balancer.

I have been programming computers since Null was still in diapers. I have been doing web-related development specifically for almost two decades, and doing it as a living for over half of that. I have worked on sites for multi-national brands and NGOs. And yet, I know nothing about web server administration compared to what Null has had to learn to keep his stupid little shitposting forum from being kicked off the Internet. And if I don’t know any better than him, I doubt you do either.

Ian shows up somehow in almost every dub I end up watching, so while he's not one of the powerhouses like Sabat, Liam O'Brien, and Crispin Freeman, he also shouldn't have any need to follow along with Funimation's marching orders. Eric's kind of a dick, but Chris being super friendly with fans didn't stop him from actively undermining them, so there's that. One could argue he's more likely to tell off anyone who tries to push him around.
