"You're trying to intimidate these people from breaking their contracts which is a terrible legal move and you're a bad person for watching out for people despite that you personally find them disgusting!"

I'm starting to think none of these people know the concept of empathy or being the better person. I know, shocking.

I also promised myself I wouldn't respond to a Ren quote, but damn it... I'm a weak man of moderate moral fiber, I had to.

Yeah funny thing Ren. Trying to encourage or shame someone into honoring and fulfilling the contract that they signed is not in any way an actionable offense. Whereas trying to encourage or intimidate someone into BREAKING the contract that they signed is a Civil Cause of Action known as Tortious Interference. Please by all means send in a complaint to the Minnesota Bar claiming that Nick should be disbarred for publicly voicing an unofficial opinion that the best course of action for the VA's would be to follow through with and honor the contracts they signed. Nick in his role as an informational Youtube Lawyer is publicly encouraging not named parties to Not Commit A Tort! Can you see where this might possibly not be an ethical issue for a Lawyer?

HOLY SHIT, this idiot.

If victim testimony has landed with convictions, why isn’t Vic being convicted of anything?

Defamation by truth is only a defense when you managed to obtain all those people who revealed their testimonies to you, and they’re able to back it up too.

And I can tell you don’t have them because it was shown that your writer took pictures of people who apparently consented to Vic’s embraces and posted them in the article.

Yup. From his resume (which you need to download)

Even as a cop he was on camera :story:
"You misspelled 'captain?' You're a loose cannon. You're off the force. Turn in your badge and gun."

If sabrat is still going to be at the con, I want to get in line and have him sign a photo of vic

I assume you're joking, but just in case, please don't do this. Don't give these people any reason to feel more victimized than they already do. If you encounter one at a con or something, just ignore them.

3) These people that have supposedly cancelled, have they actually cancelled or just posting statements on social media as a way to hold the con hostage again with fan backlash? I mean, there hasn't been an official announcement of them cancelling and they are still present on the kamehacon site (the VAs at the least, I didnt check the content creator part). I guess this could be as well due to kamehacon trying to work something out with them or not wanting to cause even more drama by double confirming things.

Yeah, I've been thinking it could just be an empty threat to try to see if they have some clout to get Vic kicked and they still plan to show up after all. I mean, let's do a breakdown here:

Benefits of showing up for KamehaCon:
  • Money
  • Fan goodwill
  • No social and possible legal consequences associated with breaking a contract
Benefits of not showing up:
  • Avoid being attacked/raped (note: this is struck out because I don't think anyone actually believes there's a chance this will happen)
  • …Woke points?
I stopped by the property management place the other day and asked if I could pay my rent in woke points, and they weren't too accommodating with that idea.

So, yes, some of these people could be bluffing, and for the fans' sake (It's not for you! It's for the fans!) I do hope they are. I guess we'll see.

So since the GFM succeeding have there been any actual developments? I don't want to wade through ~200 pages of slapfights between two nearly-identical sides of unwashed assholes.

Read the OP. The most recent developments are that KamehaCon has re-invited Vic but some other guests have dropped out since and as an apparent result of that announcement.

Ren's latest sperging seems to basically be in response to Nick tweeting that he's going to show off what an anime convention contract looks like… though being the hype man that he is, he worded the tweet in such a way that people could infer that it was a KamehaCon contract, or even specifically Vic's contract, if they wanted to, and react accordingly. In other words, he threw whale bait into the water, and Ren bit hard.

Elizabeth Maxwell? Shit I forgot she was Urbosa in Breath of the Wild

In regards to current DBZ va's, anyone unaccounted for? (Roshi? Android 18?)
