Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

I assume you're joking, but just in case, please don't do this. Don't give these people any reason to feel more victimized than they already do. If you encounter one at a con or something, just ignore them.

The same rules should be applied to VAs as they are with OPL. You can do what you want with your money, but the general consensus is don't give Sabat or any of his lackeys any money. Especially at $20-30 a signature. Fuck that.

They're losing and she knows it, these are the sounds of a beluga after the polar bear drags it from it's breathing hole.

I once read a book about a whaling ship that met an unfortunate fate (no, not that one, but one that is an actual historical account). When the whale is in its death throws after being harpooned, it shoots blood out its blow hole, and the whaling crew announces "chimney's afire."

Goddamn, reading this thread and playing catch up is like binge-watching One Piece. (Of which episode-wise, this page is in the middle of Luffy's backstory with Ace and Sabo.)

It's been pointed out that every VA who's pulled from KamehaCon thus far has worked on Super, and yet isn't it interesting that they're literal nobodies (for the most part) who only play minor roles in Super? This is most likely Sabat's iron grip on the fact new voice actors are easily the most intimidated because they don't have themselves a big reputation to uphold. They're expendable. If Sabat's indeed threatening everyone's jobs and livelihood with this and that's why they're pulling out because they have to bend the knee to the big guy (like it's been speculated), this is not going to look good on FUNimation. It's already suspect Monica and Douglas pulled the plug on their contracts, but when it comes to their newer voice actors?

They're sheep, the lot of them, but they're scared sheep.

I looked at the responses to nick saying he never said he had the contracts.
That salt. Also, why is someone trying to claim he's a failure of a lawyer? Did I miss something about nick or is it just desperate flailing?
It's flailing. Very desperate flailing.

Look at those likes. Holy shit. This is Ty's first Twitter post ever, and it only consists of 5 words.

I know Vic's too classy to pimp the GFM on his twitter, but it would pass $200k in a couple of days if he linked it.

Benefits of not showing up:
  • Avoid being attacked/raped (note: this is struck out because I don't think anyone actually believes there's a chance this will happen)
  • …Woke points?
I stopped by the property management place the other day and asked if I could pay my rent in woke points, and they weren't too accommodating with that idea.
They also get to avoid possibly seeing Vic at a distance and having to deal with whatever guilt and shame they're capable of. Or any embarrassment at him getting a bigger fan reception than they get.

It's one thing to ruin the guy on twitter, it's another to have to face him in real life.

Was wondering who started the IStandWithVic hashtag ?

I believe we found that out either much earlier in this thread, or possible in one of the earlier two.

IIRC, it's nobody really important.

MarzGurl started #KickVic, and she's probably wishing she didn't.

It's desperate flailing. You notice that they're actually going out of their way to not mention Ty.

If you don't mention the boogey man he can't get you. Or something.

Flailing. All they have beyond the dunning-kruger effect re: the legal system is the building Rekieta's office is in and the fact that he drank alcohol during a live stream. Oh the humanity.

God forbid an off duty lawyer acts human and has their own opinions, let alone only have been essentially an advisor for Vic and directed him to some of Texas's finest in representation, and not be his actual lawyer.

Woe is twitter and the woke, it's the end of days.

pops a cold one

FYI, this thread, which was started on Feb 22, has now surpassed the #ComicsGate thread (in page/post count) which was started in January of 2018. That's amazing.

Good job everybody, and congrats to @mindlessobserver.

I think its because so many of the people we have hated for years, like ResetEra, the twitter mob, social justice spergs, and certain blue haired manatees, finally got their hand caught in the cookie jar. The Mark Waid incident was close, but in the end it was only Waid who had is neck stuck out for the axe. Things were already pretty primed for interest. And then it turned out all these idiots picked up the cause of one the largest community of tards I think we have ever encountered.
