That's why I want Rekieta to get in contact with Kneon about this if he hasn't already. The fact that someone with ties to the comics and anime industry was given a tip that "Anime Gate" was coming is something that Ty Beard and the ALOD should not ignore. If this is true, it shows that Vic's (and surely others) firings were long in the making and potentially reveal even more actors plotting behind the scene that have been wise enough not to make flimsy allegations in public. At the very least, I have no doubt that Kneon is sincere with what he said even if for whatever reason, he got funky information. Regardless, the opportunity for corroboration is something that Rekieta and Beard cannot miss out on. Especially since if this is all true, we know Crunchyroll is involved. I can't remember who we were talking about in this thread, but there was a guy we floated around as a possible Iago who works there.

The rot gets uglier as we go futher inside. It's past time to drain the swamp at Funimation.

Even if that conspiracy were true, these fucks aren't gonna be able to "sanitize" anime. For a lot of shows, you'd have to chop the shit out of things, and the resultant outrage would bury them.

Inserting the occasional "woke" line in a dub is one thing, but I'm pressing X to doubt they would even dream of getting away with such a plan.

I'll hear people out on this, but I don't think they could pull it off., and I don't know why they think they would. This would be the dumbest plan they've had yet.

One thing to note, they said in the video that they did not believe the claim of an impending "anime gate" when it was first presented to them. Not sure if he still has said contact but Rekieta did get a Superchat in his third interview with Ty Beard that he may have insider info. I hope Rekieta follows suit.

Kneon has usually been right about what his "insiders" have told him. As others have said, he has worked in the industry for awhile before Learning 2 Code. If he actually does know something about this shitstorm being plotted months before it all went down then the Beard really needs to talk to him. I have to wonder if its about Vic specifically or more about how these idiots wanted to cleanse anime of the fans and the stuff they like.

And my guess is that Sargon wouldn't want to touch Nick. He's friendly with Null and Jim, and helped bury Donga. Plus, Nick would destroy Sargon in any debate worse than Richard Spencer did.

I'll actually give EvS and Ya Boi Zack for NOT involving themselves in this mess. Comicsgate should be kept separate. EvS dipped his toe in over Pensacon, and that's fine, because it actually is a comics convention. Then he pissed off... like he should.

I can't really get a handle on whether he's KickVic or not. He appears to just be jumping in to support his friends if they're being harassed but generally just seems to be trolling anyone from both sides if they keep on talking about Vic or bringing up old stories about him. A troll or someone just there for the lols if you will.

If he is KickVic, I must say it's going to be heavily hypocritical given that he was under fire for being a con creep by the "famous" Lewd cosplay models in the anime/weeb community (can't remember which one specifically called him a creep with video evidence, think its between SwimsuitSuccubus, BunnyAyumi or Tenleid) when he made an inappropriate joke at a woman who had to abort her child for some reason (don't quote me on this, I don't remember the exact details cos i was only a spectator in the whole thing and it blew over in a few days) and got heavy backlash over it.

Funny you should say that. At a panel from last year Vic spoke about how when he was directing Juni Taisen he deliberately didn't cast himself even though he wanted to play a character, because he was worried that other VAs would think it was a dick move to give himself a role.

If there's one thing about Kiwi Farms that we have learned, it's that you never underestimate stupidity. They will do all sorts of off the wall stuff to accomplish their goals. I guarantee you that they this on their mind; either reduce anime to the western far left's political platforms like what's happened to Western comics or outright kill the western anime industry. Actually, sanitize is a nice word to say "anime is problematic and we should kill the western industry".

Fortunately, this has proven to be one of the most glorious train wrecks we have ever seen. Everything they could have done to fuck up their plans, they did. Along with an public that is tiring of a small group of screeching dangerhairs dividing people into their corners and you have a civil conspiracy failure for literally the world to see.

The pro-Vic side have produced fan art of people involved. Where are they for the Anti-Vics?

It would have to be the latter. Clownfish TV said that they did not mention Vic so the only answer is that SJWs want to "sanitize" anime for their own unscrupulous gains. Mignogna's firing was just the beginning of them executing their neferious plans. I can't see them just deciding to spontaneously conspire to sanitize the industry, this had to be done months in advance. Dragon Ball Super: Broly's success was just the trigger they needed to fire Mignogna for being "problematic".

Ironically, by his own admission, a fan once called Sabat out on how his characters all sound the same and he then needed to alter the pitch of his voice so his piccolo didn't sound like his vegeta. Also a majority of these voices are from the OG dub days when FUNI wanted to save money after the whole recasting thing and not hire so many VAs, so they just gave him a whole bunch of roles. Any voices he gained during kai and onwards were through himself self-indulging. Many have speculated that's actualy the whole reason they took so long to announce Vic as returning to voice Broly. Sabat could've made a bid for the role cos they all didn't like Vic and Sabat was the best replacement option as he was clearly the most popular of all the Voice actors, but FUNI either denied him the part or he couldn't handle the pressure of screaming as much as Broly did as well as handle the parts for Vegeta, Piccolo, The Dragon, Gogeta and Broly. I mean seriously, Goku/Sean probably yells more than Vegeta, Piccolo and Yamcha put together and in this film, Broly yells from the time they land on earth till the final 20 minutes of the movie.
