It's rather hard to play a good game these days that hasn't been turned into a service, sold partially done (you can play the rest, just purchase a few DLC packs) or require lootboxes/gambling to acquire everything (or acquire things in a sane time frame).

Don't blame casuals for greed, man. Especially considering it's the opposite of the casuals who empty their bank account on lootboxes and gacha games. The casuals just play the F2P mode and throw in a few cheap purchases here and there that they might want, while riding on the tens of thousands of dollars the obsessive and addicted hardcore gamers pour into the game so they can wring out every drop of playability, collect every useless skin, and unlock every voice clip of their waifu.

S/o to Riot, Activizzard and every GAAS (Games As a Service) modules for displaying what happens when you capitulate to the mob and trying to make everyone "get with the times" to be labeled toxic and a bad person who doesn't get to play the game and isn't wanted.

so,I was reading more about Stephanie Nadolny in some of the links posted some pages ago and apparently one of the main reasons she lost her Dragon Ball roles,besides her drinking problems,is that she also had a fallout with Chris Sabat.If that is true and Sabat doesn't drop from Kamehacon,boy,we may see some dirty laundry coming out in that event...and that's not even accounting the fact that both Nadolny and Kara Edwards have said they have stories about Vic and they will all be gathering there...

This is noteworthy just because Nick said that Iago had a mini-scandal about firing someone who didn't go along with something he wanted before. It may or may not be this situation, since the implication I got was that Iago did something unethical either before booting this person or in the process of booting them, but still something to consider or look into further.


RE: Shane and the girls from PULL - he really should be careful. Even if PULL is too dumb to think of doing it, I suspect it's 100% within Iago's capabilities and morals to try to trap Shane by getting him to do something illegal with a PULL girl and use it to ensure total loyalty. If he didn't think of it before, he sure did after that brief panic about the camgirl. (I assume Iago at least keeps track of KF)

In any case, whether it would be considered defamatory or not, I don't know, but I do know BHBH has bigger fish to fry. Kamehacon might take a swing at her, but again, they don't seem like they want to pursue any kind of legal actions against the breachers.

That said, literally all she had to do was do nothing, and she'd make a pretty penny at the con (she might not a major DB charater, but she's one of the newer VAs who's getting popular) and not have to even consider a lawsuit, no matter how small the possibility.

Gonna cringe at this. Is Emosh even a lawyer or have a law background? Shane may be incompetent but the whole reason he's being ridiculed is because of how outclassed he was against Nick. If he lands even a single point against Emosh, it's going to be embarrassing. People are trying too hard to be Nick.

Pretty much, Shane looked like a flailing sped because Nick laid out everything clearly and nipped every attempt by Shane to derail or build arguments on false informations in the bud, but all it takes is one "I'm not sure" from whoever is debating him and Shane will bury them under googled up bullshit and they'll have to play catch-up for the rest of it. With Nick he went fult tilt against a brick wall but the fact that he's actually willing to debate that person shows that this time he thinks he'll get away with arguing complete nonsense until the other side gives up.

If Emosh is smart he should start by saying it's not a law debate and both won't convince the other and stay away from that area. Have topics ready to talk about for example Shanes past convention work and what that entails, his contracts and the one supplied to ANN and those clauses, what is the best type of shoe, etc. You could easily fill an hour without having to fall into traps he's got planned.

It's really important that Kamehacon be successful, though, to break the "if you invite Vic we'll walk and your con will fail" threat the VAs are holding over the other cons.

If the VAs get away with this consequence-free, they'll continue the behaviour and even expand it - so at the very least they need to not be invited to cons for a while.

Yeah this is also true, i keep looking at it like they may want to punish to prevent somebody else trying the same shit again, but it may not be worth it. My main point was that KC are keeping all of their cards close to their chest, while their opposition are happily showing theirs around the table. Nobody knows what KC will do, leaving KC in a much better position no matter what option they choose. KC is smart and may have spoken to lawyers, Rial and friends are dumb and probably still haven't.
