This is why I have been explaining the process and knowledge I have.

If people were as informed on animation and film editing tech, they'd understand why an award category for edits exist.

But people aren't -- at least not the US anime fans, from what I've seen.

the only way to not lose a liscence is if you're the most affordable choice. the moment they can get better quality for even only 20% more cost, they'll drop the fucker that messed with their animation. worse, they may do legal ninjutsu to make sure the company can't pull legal shenanigans on the new company when they have the new company redo the old companies work.

Aside from the cost, it would change the run time of the show. This can throw off any music that accompanies a scene. It can be done, but it's not worth the trouble.

If the Japanese and English video tracks weren't the exact same, then they'd need additional space on the physical media release to include both.

That's why I said I need the master cut, the raw, and the edit, and the simulcast edit from the VRV/CR/Funi service.

Someone's fucked with the syncing, and I need to retime it.

Well I'm already grabbing the dual audio version since I never did watch it and it's something I actually had in mind to see once. I can at least check that. Dunno about master cut, but CR...I don't use CR but last I checked HorribleSubs were basically CR rips.

The master is basically all of the footage run through with all the editing setting on max for something like a HD 4K widescreen edition

Here is another problem that dubs don't even realise. They don't know that they don't have a proper leg to stand on because the material they voice is just dubbing, not voice acting on original material and thus, they are not the original voices for the characters and both have more to lose, AND are more replaceable. It would be harder to replace Phil LaMarr as Samurai Jack or Static, Tara Strong as Bubbles or Raven, Masako Nozawa as Goku, Mayumi Tanaka as Luffy or Krillin or Ryo Horikawa as Captain Falcon or Vegeta.

They are walking on DAMN thin ice and they are getting exposed left, right and center. The only reason they are allow to do this is because of this political climate that allows stupid people do to an extreme amount of slander and defamation based on feeling driven by madness and spite.

If this happened 15-20 years ago, they would be fired on the spot.
