My first thought from this is that he's potentially doing it with Gravity Falls because there would be little resistance from it in this circumstance, but even then, making a video and prefacing it with "I think this popular show that everyone liked is fucking garbage" regardless of its current relevance is still a way to drum up views and publicity (both his Garbage and Here's Why videos got 1mil+ each, and videos that are overly critical of cartoons like that tend to be popular, regardless of the cartoon), ergo controversy is stirred up, Jerry acts like a victim when people respond.
Also Gravity Falls is more popular and resonated with more people than Homestuck and Hetalia tbh

I can expect hours of material for each trolls, since they are pretty much a highlight reel of all of the things Lily takes issue with, Cronus in particular. I've seen (very little) of the show Jerry's talking about before. The character he's referencing is a little girl with an overactive imagination and isn't exactly the most socially consious child out there.
And before I make my point, I want the record to show that this here is Jerry basically admitting that for all the "babu lesbeans ugu totes not pedoforking", beyond the gay fetishizing, the man would fucking hate kids to an unreasonable degree.
Kids already have bad reactions to losing friends, moving away, facing change, being surrounded by drama...to them such things already feel like the end of the world and impossible tasks to deal with.
So, genius, explain to me how the fuck the situation changes just because you throw actual world ending consequences to the mix?

The concept of long-term/major consequences is something most children struggle with already, throwing fictional stakes into the mix doesn't change how a child is likely to make decisions based on their emotional state.
Even then; children are easily manipulated or taken advantage of. This is why we don't let them make gigantic stakes decisions. Expecting them to be handle the litetal weight of the world with the agency and clarity of an adult is fucking nonsense, especially when you yourself, Jerry, can't even properly adjust or maintain your own fucking composure on the fucking internet, nenevermind real life.

you know...not every instance of characters being similar is plagiarism. It's a coincidence Lily. Like, isn't she the same person who jused occams razor to justify the idea that writers of mlp were mocking her directly?
