Jerry would play The Last of Us and probably call it trash or overhyped due to its extreme popularity and stubbornly refuse to look at the fine print of the game's story just because muh contrarianism, he's done it with Persona, Final Fantasy, Game of Thrones, Witcher, Lord of the Rings, other general fantasy stories, the list goes on...

I'll be censoring things in the next paragraph in case you haven't played TLoU, you should, it's great

He'd call Joel stupid for rescuing Ellie from the Fireflies despite the fact that their efforts to try and make a cure ultimately would have had negative ramifications, ie Fireflies would try and abuse the cure that they have and, for example, give it to people only if they choose to obey their commands, fight for their cause, or simply if they meet certain "criteria". Or perhaps the cure wouldn't have worked at all and operating on Ellie would have been in vain or he'd get on ND's case for "queerbaiting" with Ellie or "burying your gays" with Ellie's original partner in the DLC mission. In fact, that's probably the prime example of how Jerry would react to the Last of Us, he'd see a gay teenager get killed, and instead of viewing it as a character arc for Ellie as a means to develop her in a world where death could come unexpectedly at any moment (as it did with Henry and Sam) and to give her a meaningful relationship, only to strip it away due to unfortunate circumstances in a world where your humanity could be stripped away from you at any moment for any reason ("You know, as bad as those things are, at least they're predictable. It's the normal people that scare me"), he'd see it as a tired, unoriginal cliche ("Death is soooooo boring, do something original") and a toxic and harmful way to handle gay characters ("REEEE DON'T KILL GAYS"), and worst of all, he'd probably write off the brilliant father-daughter development between Joel and Ellie as "creepy pedophilia" and would probably take some choice scenes out of context (spoilers, obviously) to force that conclusion.

I have no doubt that Jerry's take on The Last of Us would be absolutely fucking awful and devoid of critical thought beyond "WAAAAH THEY KILLED THE GAYS" or "DEATH IS SO BORING REEEEEEEEEEE" on account of its popularity, so I don't think he'd be able to make a comparison between Joel and Mabel, if there's even a comparison to be had.

Well, I was gonna comment my opinion on Joel as to why I don't think the shit he did was "For no reason" and to give context to the rest of y'all, but it looks like 1911 beat me to it. But still, even if a character does things for selfish reasons, done right, they can still be fun as hell to watch. Joel is obviously a prime example, since his character flaws make him stand out more than your average "Mid 40's disgruntled white dude" character. Another good example would be Handsome Jack from the Borderlands series, who while absolutely selfish in his goals, is still entertaining enough to be considered one of gaming's greatest villains. It's been said before, but it looks like it needs to be said again.

It's not what you do that makes something good, it's how you do it.

Well Joel choosing to prevent the firefly's from potentially saving humanity for the sake of keeping Ellie alive and likely destroying what hope their was for humanity to survive the Not-Zombies could be compared to Mabel essentially instigating the end of the world in order to maintain her relationship with Dipper. There are a TON of huge differences in regards to stakes, mental wellness and Mabel being an easily manipulated child which was established since the first episode, but that's the closest comparison I could see in terms of them basically dooming humanity in order to maintain their relationships in a shortsighted fashion.

It's probably been said here before but I'll say it anyway.
If Jerry Peet spent more time getting a real job and bettering himself and not sit on his ass doing nothing but bitching about cartoons while running his stupid 24/7 'Gay Ops' against Joshscorcher and his friends then maybe Jerry Peet wouldn't be the loser that he is now.

People like Joshsorcher has my respect because at least Joshsorcher does know what he wants to do with his life while Jerry Peet is pretty much just like Noah Antwiler in a way where all he does is bitch about cartoons and Donald Trump on his social media accounts all day long. The only thing left for Jerry Peet to truly be like Noah Antwiler now is for him to make a bunch of pointless livestreams that hardly anyone will ever watch and not make videos anymore.
