He's old enough that it's less likely that it even would have been considered as a possibility while he was growing up. It's also a possibility that a professional brought up the possibility of autism, but his parents denied that anything was wrong with their son and refused to have him tested for it. Given that he was also coddled growing up (and yet his brother seems to be OK), it seems to me that what happened is that at least one of his parents rationalized his early autistic behavior in some fashion and coddled him to compensate for it, coddling that his brother never got. It's quite likely that his brother always resented him for this, which would help explain their poor relations now (although admittedly there are tons of other reasons not to like or get along with him, this is Andrew Dobson after all).
Anyway, I'm sure that his mom decided early on that all his problems were the result of him being "sensitive" and/or having been "bullied" by the other kids because they were jealous rotten shits. It might even explain the infamous Bus Ban. Think about it and place yourself in the perspective of a school district official who has to decide what to do about a kid who is just constantly a rotten little shit on the bus and whose parents are overprotective and rich. They're constantly going to be blaming you every time this fucking sped acts up, always taking his side, blaming you for "picking on" their odious sprog, threatening lawsuits. Maybe they've even already threatened a lawsuit. And they're rich enough to actually afford it. It's obvious that this worthless brat will never shape up because his awful parents won't make him. He's a lawsuit just waiting to happen, a legal time bomb that will go off sooner or later and cost the district hundreds of thousands of dollars. It doesn't even matter what he did this time; maybe he had a literal chimp-out with feces throwing, maybe he hit some other kid, maybe he doodled on the back of the seat in front of him, maybe he whipped out his tiny pecker and started jerking it. Whatever little Andy did this time isn't the real problem, the real problem is what the parents are guaranteed to do sooner or later. Unless you can get rid of him (and thus them) once and for all. Therefore: a lifetime bus ban.
He also might have ADHD, which is often co-morbid with autism, but I'll go into that later. But basically, I think that Dobson's parents and autism are the root causes of all his other problems, including his narcissism. In order for things to go so spectacularly wrong as to produce a lolcow, both nature and nurture must go awry. Dobson was a bad egg laid in a bad nest. A cruel joke by a cruel God. Dobson was always doomed.
