The phrase “my body, my choice” seems to be exclusively said to deflect criticism during situations where it’s not entirely about the woman. For example, abortion is obviously not all about the woman, but for the purposes of doing it in some situations people say “her body, her choice” even though it is NOT just her body

Without reference to the correctness of the position, I'll note that these exact same people insist that kids are not that impressionable when the subject of transtrending comes up.

Because kids will try violent racism and murder long before they'll experiment on their own bodies (with the full support and encouragement of their authority figures), I guess? I mean, obviously the Left will--and has, over and over and over.

Well I have to say I’m most put out that I can no longer use lizard as a descriptor. I mean watching Zuckerberg talk you almost expect a nictitating membrane to flick across his dead, expressionless eyes...

On a more serious note, it’s evident that training the populace to obey ‘you can’t say that’ about genuinely objectionable things has been a practice run for cracking down on all manner of speech. I mean only a few years ago it was reasonable to say women don’t have penises. Now you’ll face a social pile on for it. Couple that with making it illegal to say it, and things look pretty dystopic.

I know a bloke who has always been vocally opposed to hate crime laws. In my youth I thought he was a bigot - now I realise he was right. The level of hatred hasn’t reduced at all, all that’s happened is that our ability to speak freely has been curtailed. Without free speech there can be no lessening of dislike for each other, because thrashing things out in a civilised way, even if things are hard to talk about, is all that works.

It's weird, because if you go back a few years, she was openly lesbian (or at least claimed to be one) and also didn't look like a Tumblrette caricature:

I just cannot wrap my head around gays and lesbians who first declare themselves to fancy the same sex but then troon out and start claiming they are into the opposite sex (bonus points if they're like Zach or Alex Vidal and only date/screw other trans identifying members of the same sex)... what's the point?

For real, why do people on that kind of spectrum of super-left have to go entirely out of their way to make themselves as hideous as possible? Like do they do it so that no one that isn't exactly like them in most ways don't hit on them or something? Or is at all just one case of "fuck you Mom and Dad" that have gone on way longer than it should

Its an easy to solve problem too. All we need to do is still allow people to use re.tard as an insult since it is no longer used officially in medical terms. If you ban re.tard as an insult people are just going to move on to the next word for the mentally challenged.

You have no idea how mad feminists get when you point out that same philosophical position applies the infant male circumcision, the draft, and shit like that. Even funnier is the reaction you'll get if you tell them you're not "pro-choice", but pro-autonomy, which recognizes that everyone has a human right to make decisions about their own bodies, barring a non-responsive/vegetative state or mental incapacity. They get even MORE upset when you remind them that 22 weeks (the current abortion threshold in most US jurisdictions) is past 5 months, and any conscious, functioning adult that can't make a decision about a viable, healthy pregnancy in that amount of time is someone that shouldn't be having kids in the fucking first place.
