$50k isn't bad for a writer of Kwanza's caliber. The first Black was a disaster. Terrible art, terrible writing and a bungled fulfillment headed by one of comic's most toxic personalities. Despite all that, however, he still managed to pull as much for White as an upper-tier comicsgate book. That's nothing to sneeze at.

Kinda wish Ya Boi didn't make that video, it's going to be thrown back in his face when his next book does the same thing. Of course he has an actual excuse; his sales doubled because of Waid meddling with AP and fucking him over, but the woke brigade won't care about that.
I think it was posted in the Kwanzer thread, but he also got a ridiculous number of websites (~15 or so) to shill for him. So it is still laughable as a hell of a lot of CG books only get very small channels YouTube promotion or EVS channel.

I've every reason to believe EVS is serious. Dude's streams are practically wannabe IBS streams sometimes, and despite numerous people telling him to ease up a little, he only doubles down on his exceptionalism because it fuels his ego. As long as the WarCampaign toadies continue to suck his dick, he won't do boo about them, even when it's too late. He might be raking in the cash now and milking every single penny for all its worth with countless IGGs for inane reasons (watch, he'll do an IGG for yet another Cyberfrog cover where the titular hero is wearing a new hat) will only go so far.
At least Mitch and Bettie Bretweiser had the common sense to get the hell out of dodge before it got worse. Out of everyone involved, they were the most amiable of the bunch (and even Mags Visaggio told people to back off of the Bretweisers after they received death threats over a con appearance). I'd have hated to see someone as even-keeled as Mitch succumb to the same mind-warping that happened to Doug TenNapel (granted, he was always a little... unhinged before, but getting involved with ComicsGate has completely destroyed him IMHO).
And before anyone says I'm anti-CG, I'm not. I'm not even pro-CG, either. I think everyone is being idiots of varying degrees in all of this, and have thought that since the beginning. If this whole debacle means the industry collapses like the House of Usher and manga takes over in 3-5 years, I'm all for it now.

So this SweetCast guy just launched his own indiegogo a few hours ago and it's already almost funded. I think this was just on twitter and maybe his youtube channel too.
