I've seen Run Lola Run (Lola Rennt), and I feel she's a great character. She's willing to help get her boyfriend out of debt, despite the shortcomings. Dobson, like usual, is a goalpost mover. This might be late, but Taarna from Heavy Metal. Another choice would be Furiosa from Fury Road.

Granted there are good products that also happen to frequently be on sale, Dobson doesn’t seem to realize that hardware constantly going on sale, especially when it’s already pretty cheap, is a sign that there’s something up with the product that these sudden flash sales are the only way they can move units.

Anyone know the shelf life of an Ender 3? Because I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point in the near future we hear that Dobbles’ brand new printer “unexpectedly” broke, conveniently just outside the warranty window if he even bothered with a warranty.

3 years at least, but extruder heads have a lifespan measured in months. They run like 3$ on Amazon but actually doing the replacement is tricky and has a chance of destroying your extruder.

What’s probably going to happen is that he’ll get a clog and complain to Creality and they’ll just tell him to piss off and point him to a long doc explaining how to unclog the extruder in Chinese/broken English. Clogs happen to everyone (and resolving them isn’t hard, just a little tricky the first time) buy I can definitely see him cryposting about his ‘broken’ printer the first time he has to deal with either of these.

I also can’t help but notice that the goalposts quickly moved from “good character” to “good person” to arbitrarily disqualify random characters when he starts to lose. Which is dumb, since a well written character isn’t synonymous with a character who has good moral fiber - as seen with flawed but popular characters like Iron Man.

Also seems like his definition of a good character is one where only STRONK FEMALE CHARACTER stereotypes qualify, so fuck you if you like any of the female characters from romances, comedies, rom coms or beloved classic chick-flicks like Heathers, Mean Girls, When Harry Met Sally, Night is Short Walk On Girl, Howls Moving Castle, majority of Disney movies, etc. I guess.

But really, it doesn't matter what anyone names because it's fucking Dobson, he'll find an excuse to disqualify 99% of what anybody names, and then whine on the remaining 1% (if that) he agrees with that there aren't enough movies like it. And then make another post along the lines of "See, nobody could name hardly anything I agree with. Therefore strong, women protagonists didn't exist before The Force Awakens."

Exactly, it’s easy to declare that the number of interesting/popular characters is much lower than it is when you narrow the definition to include the fewest number of characters possible.

This seems to be the same reason to exclude anything other than films since television has actually had a ton of interesting female leads in recent years, although that could be because Dobson has no access to cable/Netflix/etc. so his only point of reference is movies.

As I've said before Dobson has terrible taste in everything so in all likely he genuinly thinks Captain marvel and last jedi are good movies with interesting characters. It sort of makes sense he'd presume malice with that in mind , in his very special brain it's like loads of people really hating the first two alien movies-their must be an agenda.
