You would never NOT have security at a signing event. By virtue of being well-known enough to be invited to cons she'd be potentially in danger at a public signing even if she weren't embroiled in drama. Remember that youtube singer who was killed a couple years ago? She was doing signing/photos with the fans herself, I believe, and some random guy with an obsessive crush walked up to her and shot her in the face, killing her. What's absurd is that she's somehow 'safer' with less security at a smaller venue that's easier to get into where less people will be paying attention, filming, and watching her.
This is very true. Also remember Rebecca Schaffer.

I guess I don't get why she made an announcement about it. Don't get me wrong I don't want her to die. It just seems odd since it's such a small convention

I guess I'm picturing more bodyguard types as opposed to event security

I almost exclusively watch dubs, Which is honestly why I even care. I like the voice work of Monica and Vic. Even Jamie, Wiedenheft, etc.

I just kills me that this is happening.

Even better that the dub comes out simultaneously, so you can weeb out at the same time as the sub watchers.
Same here. I even had a FunimationNow subscription for the longest time and have enjoyed these people's work for even longer. It's a shame what's happening now.

Raises hand sheepishly
Currently watching Rising of the Shield Hero dubbed.

Plus, there is Toonami's audience.
I watch dubbed just because I like being able to listen to shows while doing other stuff. I rarely ever sit down and just watch a show. I'm usually multi-tasking and working on other stuff at the same time. Being forced to read makes doing that pretty difficult...

I'll still watch subs if a show isn't out (for example I've already seen all of DBS, because I didn't want to wait for the dub) but I have to really like a show to bother.

So I've read the whole story up to the the current point and it's all crazy and everything, but I have to wonder, who the fuck is still watching dubbed anime in 2019?‽
I actually was going to get back into watching some once I finished my academic work for the season. Super was on the list as my friends have been begging me to catch up on it with them. I've also got JoJo on my list.

I was originally going to be a VA myself, actually did workshops and was referred to some contacts, but changed my mind after thinking about the corporate and agency atmosphere with the big time VA locations. I still love voice work and acting, and I 'kind of' still use it in my activities, so it's also a sort of study material for me.

I thought soye boye was a Trump hater? Now he's a Trump cosplayer?
Take a closer look at what it says on the hats. That has me wondering....is it possible the 'bull' in their relationship is another woman? Jamie Marchi and Rial cucking Toye.

Panty and Stocking double teaming Toye.

The horror.

Now, Ron is denying that Sabat harassed the Kameha-Con people. We'll see how that goes.

To be fair, what Beard said was that they had been texting or text messaging the owner for three hours, not calling him. So Toye can honestly, if disingenuously, call it a lie.

How dare people enjoy media in a way I disapprove of! (farts into whiskey snifter, brings to nose and inhales deeply)

Hey Ron what the hell is your reliable source then, and how reliable is it?
I don't think there would be a more reliable source than Nick's considering they work at KamehaCon and run their twitter (since that's how Nick got into contact with them)
Unless the guy who runs their twitter is lying, but let's be honest Ron's just a bad liar

So the kicked out cosplayer got addressed by Monica as something that she didn't do or know of happening.

So she asked to be removed from a panel and wasn't. And yet Todd was removed from that same panel. Sounds like she asked to be dropped because Todd was on it, but they dropped Todd instead with that excuse, assuming she's telling the truth here. So Nick was still right.

"P-p-please don't sue me Vic! W-w-we must heal the fandom!"

I don't think his lawyer would approve of him emailing or phoning the plaintiff in a potential lawsuit, I don't think Ty would approve of some one potentially harassing his client into dropping any legal action against them either. I think reality is setting in slightly and now they're doing everything they can to look like the good guys again.

His lawyer would have a stroke if this is something that happened after he hired the lawyer. For a number of reasons. Not the least of which you don’t discuss settlement discussions in public while they are ongoing or if there is the possibility of settlement. This dipshit just undermined his own lawyer, and proved to opposing council that he is completely untrustworthy and a bad actor. Plus it likely adds to the defamation. He just cannot seem to grasp the concept that he needs to shut up now. What is with these Millenial dipshits that every aspect of their lives must be played out online? They can’t not share. They can’t give up that endorphin rush of “hey everybody look at me!!!” I’m honestly starting to believe some of the otherwise pointless speculation regarding Ron’s emotional baggage and why he’s engaged to a surrogate for his mother. Because normal actual adults would have shut the fuck up by now. As examples take note of both Vic and Richard Meyer. Notice how they have ended all public discussion regarding the legal issues or parties involved? That’s called adulting. Most people are good at it. The Texas VA mafia is clearly not.

How would Ron have direct knowledge of what Sabat did? Further Ron’s fiance’s subsequent Actions in following through on her threat to breach give clear material evidence to the claims of TI.

And what is the point of all of these tweets? Does he think this will somehow prevent the oncoming legal and financial ass reaming? That the Twitter audience has some actual vote in court? All he is doing is further building the plaintiffs case. One tweet at a time.

It does seem like it. The only question is how many panels Todd had that day for them to remove him from the panel with Rial at the last minute. Was Todd being reckless with his contract, or did he actually have that one panel for him to do that day?

1. If someone is going to a con for VA panels, they're probably going to a con for multiple VAs, maybe you included. It's inconsiderate to force them between events effectively an hour away from each other under the pretense of insufficient security despite the guarantee that there'll be security there (and also an insult to everyone going to KC, as if they would subject themselves to supposedly insufficient security).

2. ...then why did the convention initially advertise Todd on the panel that Monica was on? Were they not aware of the number of panels he would be on in that day?

Someone should go and check if Todd had any other panels he was on that day, actually.

He only had a night time 18+ panel that day. No autographs scheduled for the time of that VA panel either.

And they advertised him because they had him on the panel. Having one panel a day is probably a minimum in his contract, I doubt there's a maximum. I'd think most cons would be happy to have a guest want to participate as much as possible and he was obviously okay to do 2 since he was scheduled that way until Monica asked to be taken off.
