I'm calling bullshit. Lucas has been visibly butthurt in interviews that Disney ignored all his ideas for the sequel trilogy and more or less told him to gtfo once he cashed their check.

Lucas has said a lot of shit since the 1980s, that there were always meant to be only two trilogies yet there are notes and interviews saying otherwise floating around, that the Special Editions were the "final draft" of what he really envisioned for the Original Trilogy, that the entire story is "the Tragedy of Darth Vader" when the original movie (and later its sequels) was called "The Adventures of Luke Skywalker", etc

He's not really a reliable source of info considering he says one thing and revises it and won't ever release the original statement to the Library of Congress as requested, trying to BS them with an edited statement instead

My idea for Episode 9 is basically the Expendables with a force ghost conpletely saying "fuck it" to the rest of the Disney Star Wars movies. Wedge and Lando and Derlin just have to complete some mission, with Obi-Wan or Anakin's force ghost guiding them. It's completely retarded but it would be so much better than what we've had so far and you know Cliff Clavin never had his time to shine in Star Wars.

Even Lucas' statements on the development of Star Wars have Special Editions. I mean if he really always meant Luke and Leia to be siblings he could have digitally moved Leia to make out with Chewie or 3PO in the Special Edition of Empire like he did with Han in the Greedo scene.

There's a lot of concept art floating around from pre-Disney Lucasfilm that shows they at least got a few building blocks from Lucas' version. The character of Rey (Kira) on a junk planet (which is much more interesting looking in the Lucas concepts) seeking out a hermit Luke was pretty much from Lucas. His version also involved an Imperial remnant, but that was pretty inevitable no matter who wrote the story. There was also a "Jedi killer" involved which sounds like it is resurfacing in some form in Episode IX.

These pieces of concept art were turned over from Lucasfilm to Disney/Abrams shortly after the sale and accompanied Lucas' treatment.

I'm curious where they would have gone had Lucas been constructing everything. The PT isn't great by any means but it's spawned a deep fondness from fans over the years and has managed to continuously produce fun memes. Abrams was barely involved with Lost after the pilot episode. He wandered off to do a Mission Impossible movie shortly after the pilot wrapped and cut entirely loose after the first season even though he kept getting a producer credit.

Apparently that youtuber/Disney shill Rian Johnson and other Disney shills once mocked for no reason found out some info/leaks about the Knights of Ren jerks.

Does this mean time travel bullshit is finally confirmed? I hope the Knights of Ren turn out to be alternate versions of Emo Ren from different timelines which implies some ridiculous "crossover" multiverse/timeline war for the finale of IX. That would just make everything so perfect in terms of clusterfuckery. Also what's with this "Beyond" bullshit? I've been seeing "The Beyond" mentioned in leaks serveral times and its honestly starting to bug me. Is it the Female Force Goddess Rey is destined to become or are they talking about the time travel anus from Rebels and the Vader comic? I'm leaning towards the second since time travel is probably the McGuffin the leaks keep talking about.

Also WCB made a video discussing and compiling the news articles covering the financial shortcomings of Star Wars along with post-VII SW fatigue. It pretty much covers most of the news links that have been posted in this thread, but they do a decent job turning all of the text into an amusing video format for those who aren't interested in reading long and boring walls of text concerning business management and financial reports.

The one where Kylo Ren-224 forgot to close the door of the spacetime anus on his way in which allowed a flood of cosmic shit to flood us in a sea of chaos apparently.

On another note, I'm sort of expecting them to pull this with Star Wars:

Replace Sora with Rey and the Xehanorts with Kylo Ren/Knights of Ren. I'm also expecting Emo Ren's organization to have alternate past versions of Vader and Palpatine (and Maul since they gotta do something with him now after Solo's sequel got canned) judging from what the supposed leaks have suggested. Especially those mentioned by @Zaryiu.
