These people are the pits.
This entire controversy is being perpetuated by the absolute dearth of evidence against Vic, and an abundance of
- Unsworn statements,
- Pictures of sexual assault/harassment not happening,
- An internal investigation that involved someone that fabricated a SWATting and was thrown under the bus by an original propagator of her story that also thought it important to note that she had "clinical issues", and was inconclusive,
- At least two forums populated entirely by social refuse that have been continually regurgitating the same rumors for at least two years,
- Tumblr posts that allege sexual assault in their petitions or complaints but never recommend calling the police, but only that he gets F I R E D.
It's the same garbage with these
fine folks-- "you're not entitled to our evidence that Vic indeed sexually assaulted dozens of women over
15 10 30 25 13 years".
"I'll tell my story when I'm ready even though I came out to accuse my supposed 'friend' of being a heinous man."
"The results of our investigation are
our business."
"We're actually sitting on all this info for
Vic's good."
"I wouldn't give damning information to a bunch of
randos, what with
how you've been so nasty towards us."
Meanwhile, the backlash they receive is because they
keep taunting,
but never actually put up, and the character evidence we
do have doesn't stack up. The situation in which they're even enabled to say all of the above exists entirely because they're willing to shell out rumors as well as rumors of rumors, and not to mention uncorroborated, unsworn statements, and not only will they not put down the heavy, incriminating evidence that they keep alluding to,
Vic's the one going on the offensive. It's
Vic's lawyers that are actively talking about this case. It's
the Beard who's promising this guy's
mother that they won't allow these people to "ruin his son". It's
Rekieta who tries the best he can to authenticate for the audience his insider information, but is consistently being held back because he has to protect the anonymity of his sources.
The person who claims that she was assaulted (but won't dare call it that explicitly) has a documented history of being extremely chummy with this guy on several occasions,
weeks before she threw him under the bus.
Her fiancé has flagrantly lied about
him, his attorney, and
another attorney in perhaps the whingiest complaint letter I've ever had the displeasure of reading, and when he pops that good stuff about how he has "50 hours of awkward, creepy Vic interactions", the first thing he puts up is an innocent exchange involving Vic allowing himself to get tackled by people who obviously have never been hugged in their entire life because they would otherwise know that it doesn't involve trying to break the huggee's spine.
The person who claims that he committed simple battery against her is on record for saying that she hopes that there was someone who was
recently assaulted (
or that there was a minor who was assaulted) so that they could nail him with that--
given that, we could reasonably assume that she isn't even trying to put in the legwork in finding a recent victim willing to speak up. So she can
can it, because at the end of the day, I have no reason to believe that any of these people care for justice, and I don't even think that they're trying to make any pretense that they do.
If they did, the cops would have been involved immediately. If they did, they wouldn't be sitting on evidence while saying that it was for
his own good. If they did, people would have been making petitions to get the cops to sic Vic instead of petitions to get him fired from his gig at voicing some guy in a bishie swimming anime. If they even wanted to
pretend to care, we would have had solid evidence to at minimum, have valid reason to believe that Vic did any of what they accused him of
by the time Rial decided to inject herself into the Twitter storm.
But instead, we have a bunch of people trying to cover for the fact that they don't have a single thing.
...these people are just...
