RbW is self-destructing if they're willing to outright lie in this fashion.

At first, I thought that they were referring to that one guy who claimed his friends got assaulted in Canada, but then I realized that they were referring to Rackets reading the definition of sexual assault in Texas.

Absurd, then, that RbW would interpret "what they're accusing Vic of doing wouldn't even qualify as sexual assault never mind the fact that we have no evidence of these misdeeds" as "Vic can't get prosecuted for sexual assaul because Texan law has a loophole".

If ever there was a tweet worth reporting it's someone making claims of pedophilia and/or trying to say that OTHER people have admitted to pedophilia, whether their own or others, when no, they fucking didn't and you're a lying shit.

If I remember correctly ADVision really had the first proto streaming service. They had an anime channel on Comcast’s fledgling On Demand Service. They had a small but decent catalog on there, including Evangelion.

Oh herp-derp, that's what I get for not having cable and knowing Comcast did that. I feel like they both launched at roughly the same time; I was thinking online streaming.

But man, I hope Sentai Filmworks gets more recognition when this is all said and done. I've always felt like they had the better licenses anyway, they just had a rocky start with their dubs coming off of ADV and getting rid of Steven Foster (who was such a mixed-bag it's hard to say whether he really was bad).

So while we wait for @Null and @emspex to Rekieta and Drexel tonight, I would like to bring attention to an exceptional Funimation employee.

Yeah, basically the Texas pool goes back and forth between Funimation and Sentai, but I didn't realize she batted for both teams. Goddamn it, and she seemed like a nice girl, too, I liked her as Kotomi in CLANNAD and she was perfect as Umaru-chan. She used to be married to Andrew Love, who despite looking like a soyboy looks pretty chill and knows better than to sperg about his politics on his Twitter (so gee, wonder why they divorced ?). To be fair, I wouldn't want any company to be policing what their employees tweet on their own time and while they're clearly not claiming to represent the company.

Yes an no. There are several VAs who go between both studios (Luci Christian, Brittney Karbowski, Adam Gibbs, Josh Grelle, Monica, Jamie, Wiedenheft, etc), but there are still several who are essentially exclusive to one or the other (Juliet Simmons and Kira Vincent-Davis for Sentai, Caitlin Glass and Brina Palencia for Funi, etc).

Honestly, I'm kinda 50/50 on the idea.

On the one hand, I absolutely agree and sympathize with those saying that's what she probably wants.

On the other hand, some people have expressed displeasure with the fact she's a subject of discussion on this thread at all (and I'm guessing the ComicsGate one), and we've done "containment threads" (Null's term) before. She'd probably have a thread approved if somebody wrote it well enough. It strikes me that she's gonna probably latch onto as many culture war fronts as possible. She's up to two already.

It's not my call to make. I won't be writing said thread. I just asked for one simple thing. You're all smart people (well, most of you). You all know why, without my having to explicitly lay it out. If RbW is Ren, and she got papers, you know why even more. Some people have said that request was a call for a personal army. I call it prep work as part of the Farm's stated mission of documenting lolcows.

It would only make sense if we made it a non-public thread like Phil's forums because it's otherwise feeding a huge attention whore, and then banned discussion of it outside that thread. I don't see that happening. Too much work and people will talk about that cunt on the other threads. And any purpose of it could immediately be derailed by the cunt actually becoming a target of discovery or getting sued.
