I didn't want to reply to the whole post, so I grabbed this part. Barry and Ross don't work for GG anymore, I realize this, but Barry and Ross are still youtube guys and I'm not suggesting that they re-sign up for GG forever, but one of them would likely find it advantageous to get a week's worth of plugs on a channel with 5 million subs when it would only take 2.5 hours out of a single day. It doesn't have to be one of them, either, really any "ok" youtuber would do, a warm body is better than Arin doing a wacky voice for 9 episodes. I only suggested Barry/Ross because those (to me, at least) are the easiest.
Barry could come on and do something KH related as his recent KH Summary video was a break out for him (2+ million views) and that's a real easy way to kill 2 hours.
Okay, lemme rephrase that: it's not a matter of if they wanted each other to guest star in their shows, it's a matter of everyone in Game Grumps pulling a Jon on him, making it so that he couldn't show up in videos even if he wanted to because they want to pretend he doesn't exist.
Ross could come on and do some Mario Maker stuff (which would be refresher as they're doing some Mario Maker 2 stuff down the road) and that's also an easy way to kill 2 hours. It may even be interesting to see what the Mario Maker community is doing these days as some time has passed since GG (and most other youtubers) have checked it out.
Well unfortunately, given Nintendo killed off Miiverse, it's actually not possible to go back to play Super Mario Maker as they originally did. When that got shut down, a shitton of levels/features of the game got shut down with it. One of which was, I believe sharing levels. As for Super Mario Maker 2, not only has Ross said that he's just going to do those with Jirard, Jared, or whoever on his
own streams and upload it to his
own channel like he's been doing recently, but he's very much trying to distance himself from Game Grumps itself (again, save for livestreams which he's much more comfortable doing). Especially given the whole thing where fans are confusing him for a secretary or as a way to get a stepping stone into the company.
Suzy, although I understand she isn't well liked, is still probably better than nothing (or Arin doing a wacky voice). I don't know her stuff all that well, but I feel like nearly any human being can be interesting for 2 hours.
You'd think that, but Suzy is just...draining. Like, her entire channel was shut down because nobody wanted to watch her. She is Yoko Ono in every sense of the word. And if you don't end up bored by her, you'll end up getting pissed at how she acts to others both on and off camera. Trust me when I say that, while the Jimmy Jamboree stuff is ear cancer, it is
miles better than having Suzy on, who is a surefire way to completely tank views on the channel. Remember, when Grumpcade started becoming exclusively those videos, the views couldn't even break 50-70,000 views, the chemistry was
that abysmal.
Case in point, what MahFibro! said.
Brian (I'm assuming he doesn't vacation with Dan, but it's 2019 who the fuck knows) is really the simplest. "Hey I'm Ninja Brian and we've just started taking pre orders on the new 'Starbomb' album this week, here's some fun stories about recording" for 2 hours.
I could see that, but given how detached StarBomb has always been from the main channel, having Brian (one of the lesser-liked Grumps next to Suzy, due to his brand of dry humor) appear for what's essentially a sponsored video might come off as disingenuous.
But given everything that's happened in the past few weeks alone, what the fuck do they know about disingenuousness; Brian's probably the only one I could see coming back on at this point.
Even if it can't be one of those people, finding a second person should be crazy easy for Arin. I'm not a big LP watcher but any of the people who guest grumped (or were on Table Flip or some other show), any youtuber they've collabed with (Matt and/or Woolie from Super Best Friends would probably kick a puppy for that exposure now that the group split up) and so on.
You underestimate just how many people they've either cut ties with, hate with a passion for some reason or another and vice versa, or actually can't get anymore (i.e. StamperTV) because they fucked up their own lives so badly.
Sometimes all three of those at once (arguably ProJared).
