You're looking at a 12+ hour flight from Nippon to Texas, not to mention the fucked up time zone difference. I know I wouldn't be wanting to dive right into fan interactions after all that at the age of 61. Then again Ryo is an absolute baller whose supposedly a very lively dude at cons and loves a good drink.

I did a flight from Chicago to Anchorage once. That was a only a 6 hour flight and I was useless the rest of the day.

This just hit me rn, and I find it odd that something soo paramount took so long but; what really bugs me here is that of all of the principles involved, not one of them is a content CREATOR. Vic included. Vic may be the most humble of the lot, and Sabat arguably does some production (rasterizing and normalizing peaks isnt really production, fyi), but not one of these slithery shits brings anything to the table. It's been mentioned before that any one of these people are replaceable but thats even above and beyond the utter lack of personal input that any of these "actors" provide.

Maybe it was that umbrellahomo's "not being happy with their small piece of pie theyve managed to take" comment, but wow. These idiots ruined their lives over petty drama because one of their little gheyclique were more social than the rest.

but that's such a small difference that no japanese company is going to do that. as autistic as toei with IP protection, the pattern does not fit the behavior as you describe it. if it is, then that means Toeis management is no better than Funi and worse because of the autism regarding IP protection.

I'm not sure I get what you mean.... Whether something uses official material or if its entirely fan made makes a big difference, at least, someone using official material is the only time I've seen Toei shut shit down or attempt to.

The con is under fire for reinviting "a Sexual predator" and having inadequate security measures (by fuckwits and clueless fans who don't know the full story)

The Sabat Tour is eventually cancelled after being rebranded

Ryo Horikawa is not going to be there because of a higher up pulling him

5 VAs have cancelled and 3 ( ? ) of them have another signing 30 minutes away

Several panels have cancelled (due to an inflated sense of ego and again, being part of those group of fuckwits I mentioned)

Sean schemmel the current voice of Goku is not attending

A bunch of lawyers are going to be present

Kamehacon is fucked. I hope KickVic are happy. They started a movement that in the process not only destroyed a man's career, but destroyed a niche con centered around giving back something of value to the fans and, from the looks of things, are now going to get the biggest dubbing company in America burned to the ground.

Reasonably good Dubbed anime is now going to be a thing of the past. Funimation is going to have to deal with Toei and Sony now having to explain exactly why this whole situation was not handled better and if they can't give a satisfactory answer or atleast reign all their voice actors in, this is going to be one hell of a shit show even if no lawsuits come on Monday.

If Toei has taken notice, and it looks like they have as they rebranded and then cancelled the Prince of all saiyans tour and pulled Horikawa out, they're most likely going to pull all of their IP from Funimation and Bamco and either not distribute them in English or give them to another dubbing company.

Sony is not going to care enough to defend Funimation either. Imagine them buying what they thought was going to be a cool car that a certain group of people (weebs) liked and then that car turned out to be held together by duct tape not long after. My guess is that if Funi can't somehow convince Toei to still give them the rights to their IPs, they're fucked, as both Sony and Toei will drop them.

Oh yeah and just for clarification, Sony America bought Funimation right ? But guess (you might know this anyway) where Sony has HQ:

I can just imagine that. Two Japanese Companies having a discussion on why their American counterparts are such idiots and whether they're actually needed if they can't handle something as simple as this

I already see VAs such as Monica, Sabat and Marchi being fired if they can't prove in a court of law that Vic was guilty of sexual assault/rape and of sexually assaulting them (in the case of Marchi and Rial).

I know Nick has said that this case might not be very significant in the bigger scope but might be in the anime community, but if things go the way we've all predicted, it just might be. This is huge, involving 3 big/well known companies, false rape allegations and a social media witch hunt.

Also, If Vic is proven to be innocent without a shadow of a doubt, this will probably be spammed non stop to be made as public as possible to both discourage fake rape claims (as it defames men almost irreparably and makes it more difficult for survivors to come out with actual stories of rape and to be taken seriously) and to emphasise why reporting rape is necessary.

For those of you who are clueless as to who this XV ragequitter they're referring to is, it's Perfection/TheSuperItachi. The stream they're referring to is a stream MadBlackAtheist had a day ago where he revealed that he ran gay ops on Perfection and brought Perfection onto his stream to expose him and get him to stop making expose videos on Geekdom101.

I should have noted that I was solely refering to the series they all worked on as a unit, but thank you. Thats even MORE damning because that it proves that Vic understands his level of input given a succesful project he was more directly involved with, even if fan-made. Hell, that means his core audience saw him to be fit for the job in that case.
