The show died in filler Hell.

Watched it for the first time last year since it's on Netflix. Had to fight myself to stay awake the entire 94 episodes.

I've always assumed that its popularity has something to do with autism like the Naruto and Sonic groups.

Bleach fans seem pretty ridiculous too.

Interestingly enough, one of the few "long form" anime series I actually liked was Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Not too much filler given the episode count of 64. A lot of long form anime seems to have filler, and I can't be arsed.

That's not what Nick was talking about though. Nobody knew that shit was gonna happen today. Shane got a wild hair up his ass because nobody loves him on Twitter, and we're one of the few groups in the universe that pays him any attention.

We still don't know what Nick was talking about. Nick said that you might see a chimpout from somebody, or you might not. It's possible the later happened.

the "samurai x" one is the other OVA that adds on to the main story, it's considered less good than Trust and Betrayal but far better than the anime. it's longer too. T&B is basically a fleshed out 4 part movie of a couple of pages from the manga from the part of the story that actually interested most people, the war stuff and when kenshin wasn't whipped. the animation cannot be understated especially in T&B. it more than holds a candle to modern anime animation and i'm not just sucking it's dick. check it out

I'll give anything a fair shake. In fact, that's how I ended up on the #StandWithVic side to begin with. It's why despite having watched Fate: Zero, which in my opinion could be retitled How To Every Writing Mistake, I still watched Fate: UBW and loved it. I think that's what #StandWithVic is all about.

It's why despite having watched Fate: Zero, which in my opinion could be retitled How To Every Writing Mistake, I still watched Fate: UBW and loved it. I think that's what #StandWithVic is all about.

i can't attest fully to the quality of the other OVA like i can T&B since i haven't finished it, but T&B is widely considered one of the best OVA's out there. the story, art direction, animation choreography and especially music reek of quality. you won't be disappointed even if the historical drama isn't your thing. i encourage anyone to watch it for the music and animation alone

The reason the pacing for FMA: Brotherhood is so good is because it started about a year before the manga ended. The original FMA anime followed the manga up to the point it caught up with the manga and then it did it's own thing. It was inevitable that it was going to happen as FMA was published monthly where at least other long runners like Dragon Ball were published on a weekly basis. Brotherhood is almost one to one to the manga.

Long runners always face the struggle of keeping an audience, not catching up to the manga, and having an episode to air almost every week. Studios have to pay for their time slots so they literally lose money if they have nothing to air. Some struggle through with both added padding to episodes or filler arcs like DBZ back in the day or One Piece nowadays. Some do long lengths of filler arc to give lots of breathing room but they still eventually catch up like Naruto. And some when doing so will get cancelled before they get to manga material again like Bleach. Some newer anime like MHA, have done more proper seasons so they can space out what material they use.

Basically, if an anime is based on another existing piece of work that is not yet finished, it's quality and pacing is a crap shoot. And that's most popular anime.

I did and me and her dad had a long talk about it cause he was okay and I wasn't. But she has been through a lot. Much more than women twice her age and she has this weird level of maturity which is hard to find in people.
