Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

What I am wondering about, is what happens around the cons that simply did not invite Vic because he was too hot to handle now? I know the COO of Phoenix and still involved with A-Kon likes Vic but didn't invite him (at least hasn't announced him). I am assuming that it was because he was embroiled in this mess.

What happens when this is resolved and Vic wins and/or is exonerated? These conventions didn't breach but where they routinely invited him, the chose not to here. Could these somehow show damages?

I would assume since they didn't invite, and/or announce.....nothing....unless they knew about the conspiracy to blacklist.

Willem Dafoe?

I've seen people compare Vic to Chris Jericho:

Someone gave Vic a picture of Jericho for comparison sake at a panel and Vic said no homo, but Jericho was "a very handsome man."
Jericho is goat.

Hi guys new user here, but been lurking and reading from the low 400s. Just wanted to be part of internet history. Tried to register over a week ago several times but the emails never showed up on my temp email inboxes. Might not post much, dont really know yet.

I dont like the idea of splitting the thread up. Keeping up is easy with keeping an open tab, bookmarking, using search history, and just remembering the page number you left off. This is partially for selfish reasons tho, since i do hope this thread becomes the one with the most posts on the forums.

And im very interested in seeing footage and news about monicas little signing. Regardless of if someone here goes there or not, theres bound to be some clips or pics making the rounds.
This is the only cucked vid i can find on twitter. https://twitter.com/MikeFritzArt/status/1117114748540264448

I can hear a beta bitch screeching "THEY ARE NOT GOKU I AM GOKU" :story:

So, this has been moving really fast. I saw @Shane_Yes_That_One answering the parts of questions he felt like, but dodging the meat of the questions for a good part of last night...

Did he ever answer these two?
  1. Has he actually seen any evidence of Vic's wrongdoing, or is he taking this on the full faith and credit of the VAs involved?
  2. Since he has now argued what Vic did down to "being inappropriate", what exactly does "being inappropriate" mean? Off color jokes? A poorly timed "Nice rear, madam?"

It's gonna happen either way, more than enough evidence of all prior crap is still gonna get brought up, it's just if someone starts shit during this period, it just makes shit worse for the parties getting sued.

Yeah, I kinda figured it wouldn't hold water. Besides, I trust that the Beard and the ALOD already have a counter-arguement in the unlikely event it comes up.

Also, holy hell, dat security team. It must be made by the meanest and most dangerous criminals there has ever been.

At first sight i can see Ron Soye, La Choy, Mr. Toye, Ms. Toye, Ronald McDonald the III, Ron Rial and many many more. I would be afraid of even putting a foot in there.

Man the most horrifying part for me at least is how can these idiots not feel the embarrassment of setting up a signing even at a normal shop. Like already people barely know VA's and then you go do such bullshit.

I'd rather die of embarrassment than be a laughing stock like these idiots. People would have kept on wondering who the fuck are these assholes and why are they butting into their hobby.

In short, yes. Because it shows some level of the conspiracy and interference in Vic's business. At least by my understanding and the legal eagles we have lurking around will correct me if I am wrong.

As a result of Rial, Soye etc damaging his reputation and name in order to ruin his ability to conduct business. Proof of that is the fact many conventions have pulled him on the basis of the Funimation Rumour Mill starting up and then expanded upon by the likes of their "rogue" VAs making highly public statements.

A lot of these con organisers are chicken shit as we've seen with Kamehacon or "Risk adverse" as the shitty parlance newspeak calls it, so will pull to be on the safe side on the mere basis of rumours rather than any truth and permit those loud voices to walk all over them while they piss and shit right on their carpet.

However, so far those that have continued to keep him as a guest seem to be working dividends even if he has to be "fenced away" from the other VAs. Anime Matsuri stopped most talk against them by telling people to get fucked, as has BubbaCon and both seem to be cashing in on standing up to the bullies.

I got more from @Not A Bug's clarifications on Shane's marital timeline than Shane was willing to admit.

Instead, he gave us gems like this:

However, every so often, @Urbanmech, @NotoriousD , @AnOminous, he let slip a diamond:

The color commentary from Not A Bug on this is the interesting bits, on the topic of his marriage compact with his wife's father:

Which, in knowing this , makes me feel even better for challenging Shame on his bullshit.
And he knew it too.

(edited for clarity and compact reading)

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn Shane...just damn.

This thread will be kept up for general discussion. I also think separate threads for Nick's WW streams is a good idea, because a lot of people like to basically give live updates. Right now I'm working to move all the Shane's posts from today to a new thread, then I will be making threads for some of the other main players.
Well, this was inevitable. To be honest I'm surprised it took this long for the thread to warrant this treatment.
