Damn, just found this in Vic's twitter tag.

The guy in the video is Rickey, an ADR Engineer at Funi. He worked with Vic on Juni Taisen when he was directing. Remember that video of Monica at work smiling while Vic filmed? This guy was the engineer there. Is this the first Funi employee we've seen speak up for him?

First Funi employee I've heard speak up for him. I hate to say it, but with all the shit that KV has been pulling, this guy might find himself without a job.

All right, let's see if I've surmised the last 20 pages:

1. Dominique attempted what is, perhaps, the single most pathetic GAY OP attempt in the history of this website by showing up with an unregged guest pass (likely from Monica and friends), approaching the Vic area at Kamehacon and attempting to make a scene in an attempt to force focus on Vic. It failed and she was hauled off by security.

2. Shane outed himself as some kind of insane sexual deviant (possible pedo even) and an honest-to-god cuckold.

3. The Lawsuit purportedly drops tomorrow.

This Rizzo guy, I have a feeling he's gonna need to be on egg shells for a bit with the FUNi crowd, sounds like he's said "worth it" though, sounds like a great experience.

well funi is in a lose lose situation if they wanted to fire Rizzo for this,
I wonder there are others in the inside that know this is a bunch of bullshit as well,

Oh definitely, besides making FUNi look petty af, but the new bosses from Sony seem petty af soooo.

Happy B-day to your bro.

Ditto.

Don't forget Ms La Choy and his/her 400 pages novel, written by Ty himself :story:

The asshole kickvic faggots clearly affected this poor girl's life a lot. She is even teary eyed in this pic just like the video she made denouncing all of the rumors surrounding vic using her pic. Pisses me off how they not only tried to destroy vic's career but had the motherfucking audacity to pull an innocent bystander for their own personal propaganda. I seriously am wishing for my own personal pleasure that at least some of the major players of kickvic are gonna get their ass fucked so badly legally that they are kicked off the industry entirely.

All of these cunts can go die in an accident for all i care. These motherfuckers haven't shown a single shred of what we call "HUMAN FUCKING DECENCY".

Just look at her expression, it really hits you right in the :feels:. As if we needed more proof that they don't care about the fans.

Guys, i have a question, but first a little background. You see, the reason i decided to join actively the ISWV side, wasn't only because it was the right thing to do to stop a group of mad people into destroying a good man's life (which is a big part in itself), but because i am a big DB fan, and my favorite character is and has always been Broly, even more so the new one. And while my first choice of Broly will always be the japanese VA, Bin Shimada, Vic is a very close second one and one of the only, if not the only, english VA of DB that i don't mind at all.

Now, the question is this, even if we win the case (which we obviously will, it's obvious), how big are the chances of Vic getting to voice Broly once he comes back? I can't see Failnimation and Sabat re-casting him unless Toei makes them do it, or if Toei takes away the whole IP of DB from Funi to another company, which i don't honestly know how big the chances are. What is your opinion on this, guys?
Guys how sure are we that Broly will even appear in the show or anymore movies?

Reminder that Ty called this "the most pointless case he has ever done". In his eyes (and on all of ours), this was already won before it even started :story:

It was impressive how well Ty's voice conveyed the sadness he felt at the pointlessness of the whole thing even through the fuzziness of his cell connection. I was almost moved to tears.

I can't speak to the corporate politics of the situation, but those withstanding it's easy to say that Vic can ask for or demand future Broly roles in settlement from people able to make it happen if/when he sues them. Vic/Vic's counsel can say "Also include a guarantee for all future Broly roles or take it nice and deep." during settlement negotiations. If the defendant(s) are stubborn, it could even be given a monetary value to offset some/all of the settlement, like "I'm suing you for $X, but am willing to reduce that amount by $Y in exchange for guarantees of future Broly roles". I'm not 100% sure, but I believe they could offer a similar exchange when the court is awarding damages.

Again, this example is divorced from corporate politics and who has rights to what and how. It's just to demonstrate how things could be accomplished.

As the chances of Vic being found guilty are as high as Shame's and Ms Ron Soye's IQ put together (so, less than 0), that's some good news. And about the awkward part, well they deserve it, and they better close their eyes and shut their mouth when Vic pass by, flaunting all the money he has taken from them.

Still, good thing that Vic usually records on his own study and not at Funi

I understand your position and I also love Vic but I think it's very important that we learn to separate love of his characters and love of him. From all accounts i've seen the guy is pretty decent, but I take a neutral stance in all of this. The only reason I am currently cheering for Vic's victories is because I'm sick and tired of all these witch hunts, feminist hate mobs and outrage culture on social media. They think it's ok to effectively condemn someone without a shred of proof and destroy their careers (and also it's hilarious to watch KickVics antics as they scramble to call every breath Vic takes, a transgression against women).

So far KickVic has yet to show one piece of irrefutable evidence that Vic is guilty of sexual assault/rape. All we've asked is for a police report or a summons to court for him, and they can't even provide that, it's just heaps and heaps of he said she said, hugs and somehow "proving he's a verified rapist/molester" by bringing other things up and doing magnificent logic leaps (like saying just because he didn't sign yaoi art the one time, somehow that makes him a rapist). If any evidence was brought against him and he was legitimately charged, I wouldn't be cheering for his success. I'm pretty sure quite a few in this thread share my sentiments.

On whether or not he can be rehired by Funimation to voice Broly, depends on whether there are any roles that they feel he's appropriate to voice (eg. if another Broly movie comes out). Ty could make it a stipulation in a settlement if he wins or Funimation decides to settle out of court, maybe give him a few roles in other anime as compensation and a retraction of statements claiming they acted without sufficient knowledge and Vic has been proven to be innocent as well but other than that they can't really control the process of whether or not companies cast him anymore.

I might have missed this somewhere along the way but where are people getting the idea that Vic was hand picked by Toei to play Broly? All signs that I can find it was rather someone at Funimation who was responsible.

Sonny Strait (Voice of Krillin in DBZ/S and Usopp in One Piece) apparently claimed that Toei had influence over certain casting choices as they had very specific requirements on what they wanted each character to sound like. Vic apparently fell into one of these casting choices. It was mentioned somewhere earlier in the thread with (i think) a vid link to the interview (or something) where he stated this.

I have a couple of things to say.

1. @Laughing-Man The Green Power Ranger you are referring to is probably Jason David Frank. NOT Johnny Young Bosch, Kiwis (though I would not put it past these people to put JYB on the "hit list," either). Toy Bounty Hunter was on Hero Hei's stream last night and he said that Frank has a reputation on the convention scene.

2. What is the third day of Kameha Con looking like?
If yesterday is any indicator, there still needs to be eyes on the proceedings still.

It didn't work for me, but here's an archive.fo link:
And the video, which archive.fo doesn't capture:

Summary: This guy, Rickey Watkins II, is an Automated Dialogue Replacement (ADR) Engineer for Funimation Studios and he worked on DragonBall Super: Broly. He's at Kameha Con; he had a panel yesterday and has another panel this afternoon. During his panel yesterday, Vic was in the audience, and he told Rickey to stop by afterward to say hello. So Rickey and his fiancee went up to the top floor where Vic was, and he saw the line was really long, so they walked around to the front of the line. Vic spotted them, stepped out and gave him a hug, then Vic said he was going to embarrass Rickey real quick. So Vic got everybody's attention, and called out to the whole room, "This is Rickey Watkins, the greatest engineer at Funimation", and said when they see him, give him some love. Rickey and his fiancee were shocked at how epic it was. Vic gave Rickey a custom poster and signed it for him. Afterward Rickey went downstairs and bought a giant Broly statue which he's hoping to get Vic to sign today. His panel today is at 3:00 in Panel Room 5 and he'll be talking about audio engineering and the work that he did on Broly, so if you're at Kameha Con today, he says to stop by to say hi and take a picture with him.

Guys how sure are we that Broly will even appear in the show or anymore movies?
Have you seen Dragon Ball Super: Broly?

He kind of becomes Goku's friend by the end of it and because he's strong he'll show up again.

The Broly movie just made massive bank. Brolly character shit like the Bandai SH Figuarts figures are selling as well as the massively popular lead character. Toei is not known for leaving money on the table or leaving popular characters exploited for high monetary returns. If people throw money at Brolly, they will get more Brolly.

And just looking at the lines and fan response at Kamehacon, both to Vic, and to the kickvic VA’s, Toei will once again follow the money. While Toei may be pissed at Kamehacon, they are also aware KC is a good metric regarding their core North American audience. It’s a con for Dragonball, thus a con made up of actual Dragonball consumers. And those consumers don’t seem to be in any way impacted by #kickvic. If anything it increased turnout and support for Vic. So barring any evidence involving underage activities without pants, Toei will insist on the status quo. At least for Brolly... whether we see a 5th Bulma May be another story.

If any evidence was brought against him and he was legitimately charged, I wouldn't be cheering for his success. I'm pretty sure quite a few in this thread share my sentiments.

Oh, of course, if in the end it is proven that he is the monster they make him out to be, i will not back him anymore, hell, i myself will want him to be punished. But as of now, and with everything that has happened, the chances of the accusations being true...are low as fuck.

Have you seen Dragon Ball Super: Broly?

That, and the Broly movie has given Toei animation over 110 million dollars, which, for an anime film, is one heck of a win. The 11th most succesful anime movie in history. And everyone went to see it just for Broly.
