A special motion to dismiss based on the lawsuit being frivolous and retaliation against free speech. SLAPP = Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation. The victorious defendant has their attorney fees paid by the plaintiff for wasting everyone's time.

The dismissal is on the complaint, and assumes all factual allegations by the nonmoving party to be true for the purposes of the motion. So unless Vic somehow agrees that every one of these defamatory per se statements are true, there's no basis for such a motion.

And like Ty said this used to be a lot harder "back in the day" because no one would literally write out ,in record form, all of their defamatory statements.

VIC DID NOT ADMIT TO ANY WRONGDOING.

HE APOLOGIZED IN THE EVENT THAT HE MAY HAVE MADE ANYONE UNCOMFORTABLE, BECAUSE THAT WAS NOT HIS INTENTION.

HE VEHEMENTLY DENIED ANY ALLEGATIONS OF SEXUAL ABUSE OR HARASSMENT. GO CHECK HIS TWITTER FOR THE APOLOGY. Not that I had to post that for you-- seeing as he's not a keyboard monkey like his presumed opposition, you'd be able to find the letter fairly quickly even though he didn't pin it.

...And while we're still here, him saying that he's working with a counselor isn't an admission of guilt, either.

Urgh.

To add to this:

The most infamous successful SLAAP motion of all time is arguably Streisand v. Adelman et al.

That's where we get the "Streisand Effect."

Vic isn't doing this to shut anybody up (well, not entirely), he's doing this to repair the damage he's endured due to interference and defamation by some really stupid people.

I saw they were more even handed then the other places though, not supprised since 4chan doesn't seem as insilated as the other two places from my observation.

As someone who is the most average of males, I can confidently say it's just her body. She has a pretty okay ass and rack. Now, for thirsty orbiters who get sucked in by the costhot playbook, they crave her. But the average man with no connection to or knowledge of her would just go "Nice tits" and that's it. And she doesn't even have the best figure out there either. Her body's comparable to the better half of Pornhub probably.

Thinking that people considering a lawsuit serious business makes them total shut-ins from the real world or naive youngsters really is quite the fucking reach there. Also thinking most Vic Mignogna fans are naive youngsters is quite the fucking reach there. Also thinking the majority of the people at the convention to see Vic(you know they do)are shut-ins from the real world is quite the fucking reach there.

4chan usually bans lolcow content when it just gets into the kind of stuff on KF/PULL/LCF. So a lot of people there also post elsewhere.
