That's assuming it happened at all. I imagine him seeing a guy in a MAGA shirt, and on the way to his car thought of a cool "what if" scenario that would get him all the asspats. Kind of like that woman who made a big deal out of a lack of diet coke on a flight turning into some kind of racist hate crime, but the people on the plane said she caused a scene about the lack of diet coke, got a shit eating grin, and spent the rest of flight typing.

I never understood the commotion over Hatred. Postal 1 was much worst, yet it only recieved a fraction outrage of what Hatred got.

I can only talk about the UK, but there have been plenty of violent game outrages over the years. GTA, Manhunt, Call of Duty, they all had controversies. The main difference was that it was the mainstream press attacking games and game journalists laughing in their faces.

They either don't know, or don't care that they are the new fun police. The guy in this video got his start in games journalism debunking moral busy bodies on call in radio shows and ended up a laughing stock when he claimed on Twitter that anime arse causes rapes.

This is why ResetEra can't make up their mind. Game devs are auteurs and criticism is harassment if they're making progressive walking simulators about transexuals and depression, only to reverse that stance when it's something they don't like such as straight sex, violence, historical accuracy, or don't pander to far left talking points. In those cases the devs need to be harassed wherever they go, blacklisted from the industry, and their games censored or destroyed.
