mm, yeah.

Keep your head down as people vilify you for having common sense and morals, that's how you clean the mud being slung on your name.

Not at all how August Ames was bullied into suicide, you petulant children.

they WHAT?

Ayup! Last October I believe. Univision finally had their revenge. That sweetheart contact was up last month and I think technically expired for a day. Univision played hardball and finally put their foot down. It was either stop this and be sold, or they would all be fired the next day.

This might actually be the dumbest thing I have yet seen from these morons... it is breathtaking in its stupidity. It's like someone followed "The Way of Shane" and then tripled down on the stupid.

Coming soon from Toei... "The way of Shane". An epic tale of a soy farmer bullied into reality by flightless birds, orange men and Phoenix Wright. Available in SoyMax 3Dipshit.

Wait, what? No seriously, what?!

I have to think fairyduster is a troll. Who would honestly think this?

Probably an illegal because if i remember correctly in Mexico you have to prove you are innocent, you are assumed guilty until proven the contrary iirc

Nah. You pretty much have a right to be assumed innocent until proven guilty pretty much everywhere. It is a basic human right after all. Not saying it doesn't happen, but that's more due to people trying to step on your rights or some bullshit exceptions that happen even in America (false rape allegations anyone?). In theory, they aren't supposed to step on your rights.

However, I don't think this is a criminal case, but a civil one. Meaning the plaintiff has to prove his claims. That is, Vic has to prove they damaged his career for him to get the money and everything he is asking for. This isn't about "proving Vic's innocence", but proving that, Monica and the others damaged his career through defamation. So it's up to Vic to prove his claims and convince the judge they did it (and they did).

Enjoy the show. This is going to be fun.

Only bridge that's burned is Funimation, which they set on fucking fire while he was still on it. If any of this shit sticks to them Funimation might not even exist in it's current form when all this is over, wonder if Toei are still going to sit around doing nothing while the voice of Broly sues the shit out of the studio that they entrusted with the Dragonball license.

As tempting as Toei slaughter is, and i hate to be that guy, Toei doesn't even know what the fuck they're doping with Dragon ball. Even if you like super (and i certainly DON'T) the way they're handling new releases of old episodes. The blue tint on the Broly movie (Yes Toei did this, not funimation) etc.

Toei knows what they're doing with Dragon ball as well as Funi does.

In considerably less exiting news, NJ4K1 has been suspended.
Ya goofs should have run down the clock like we did.

Icing on the cake still tastes sweet. :drink:

That's just an effective minimum required to file in this court. There's likely to be much more awarded when all is said and done.

So one of the tweets above says Vic is asking for a million dollars of relief (I don;t see that in the docs I see posted here, but let's go with it). Is that for all of them together, or one million each?

I had to read fast these last 30 pages, but I didn't see this answered. Apologies if I missed it.
The defendants are being sued severally and jointly liable. That means it's up to them to figure out who pays how much (codefendants often end up suing each other in situations like this before the dust finally settles), the only concern of the court is setting the amount and making sure Vic gets it.

First it was "No one really stands with him."
Then it was "He won't be getting a lawyer."
Then it was "His lawyer won't be anything except some rent-an-attorney."
Then it was "There won't even be a lawsuit filed."
What do you imagine the next exceptional phrase will be?

"Fine, he's not being registered as a sex offender. He's still not gonna sue!"

I just can't wait for it to somehow come out that Monica fucks dogs.

Well we already know Ron does.

REEEE THEY CAN'T PROVE ANYTHING REEEE

They can't even get what Vic needs to establish correct. He does not have to establish that the defendants willfully lied. He doesn't have to establish any of the 4 things posted.

"If he actually wanted to win he'd have not filed a lawsuit" :stress:

I didn't know Justin Trudeau was a decorated PULL user.

Checking on Kanzenshuu:

"So yeah as proven by Cosby trying to sue your accusers does not mean you aren’t guilty. "

They're still going on with this.

...I don't recall Cosby suing his accusers.

i'm not saying the company and definitely not the people are important or irreplaceable, im saying its a shame theyre exceptional individuals, because, and i might be wrong but i don't think there a lot of companies that do english dubs. if they weren't crazy and stupid they might actually have some actual good will in the anime community. it's amazing how they keep doing the exact opposite of things that would make them likable. and remember, jealousy is an element. unbelievable.

Gotcha. There arent many dub houses left, true, but they arent too hard to establish if Funi were to tank. Especially considering the talent available in front of the mic and behind the desks. It's like when ADV went under/lateral/WTF ever that deal was. And they were far more 'iconic' to the American anime industry then than Funi as it exists today. Replacements sprung up pretty quick. Funi being a big benificiary of ADV's demise. Before that, they had a handful of titles.

Slightly off topic but why do all those faggors have weeb avatars, my fucking eyes.

Actually on topic: Wat? Why would Vic need to prove Ron worked for Funimation? He just needs to show that Ron has nothing to do with Funimation and thus shouldn't be privy to the "confidential company info" that he clearly knows about. Because his fat ugly whore of a fiance also has a fat ugly mouth.

So umm if Ron didn't work for funimation (or Sony) why does he know so many details about a supposedly confidential matter? Monica isn't his wife yet... was she blabbing about those to him? If so womp womp.
Which is also a catch 22. If Monica, a Funimation employee, gives La Choy priveleged information from Funimation, and asks him to make some tweets... I don't see how that's legally any different from being an agent of Funimation.
