Hey all, I wasn't able to catch Nick's stream last night in it's entirety because I needed to sleep for work.
Can anyone give me like a quick summary or run down about the lawsuit papers filed?
Quick Summary:
Longer Summary:
Funimation, Marchi, Rial, Soye are being sued. Co-defendants, not sure if each will need their own lawyer or if they can double up on Funimation's. I believe the former.
Lawsuit is for
at least 1 million dollars. Likely significantly more.
Soye didn't remove the tweets upon request, so the damages are tripled.
Soye has made specific claims of fact -- "100+ women," "6 friends of mine, " etc etc. He has to provide details and evidence of every single one of these supposed incidents, including their full dox. If he can't, it's defamation and they lose. (They've already admitted they can't.)
Soye, his fiancee, and Marchi were all saying that the insider info that Soye was repeating was confidential. All 3 of them gave the impression Soye was a Funimation employee. Because Funimation never publicly corrected this, Soye counts as a Funimation employee, and Funimation is liable for every single thing Soye said.
Due to some oddity in law, since they're all co-defendants they all owe all of the money and each owe all the money. What this means is Vic will get his judgement from whomever can immediately pay (Funimation / Sony), and then Funimation / Sony will have to sue the other three idiots for their share. That is to say, Ty just gave Funimation a significant incentive to settle and turn on the other three. Thus, the idea that Funimation or Sony will be helping the Three Stooges with representation is laughable.
Nick has a mole in their little clique. It's implied someone's been feeding Nick information, and when they find out they will feel almost as betrayed as Vic has felt.
There were hints that they were intentionally doing this because they felt that Vic might be suicidal and this would cause him to kill himself.
Apparently there's evidence that one of them was openly praying for an underage rape victim to appear. In writing.
Apparently there's evidence that one of them admitted in private that they didn't actually have any evidence that Vic did anything wrong.
Sony performed the investigation on Vic. They cited 3 incidents. One was him eating a Jellybean. Another was a hoax about how they totally heard he slept with fans at a con once. Another was a consensual kiss between him and a coworker. All three were stupid HR Bullshit but Sony still fired him for it -- I called this 100~ pages back. Basically, HR is likely staffed by Dangerhairs who will support other Dangerhairs, and HR is going to take the stance that it's easier to fire Vic and risk him suing them for wrongful termination (unlikely) than not fire Vic and have Dangerhairs sue for hostile work environment. (Near guarantee.)
Someone was telling cons about the investigation before the investigation happened.
Someone was telling cons about the investigation during the investigation.
Someone was implying that Vic would be arrested for raping a child to the cons during the investigation.
Someone was telling cons about the investigation right after it happened.
It was implied heavily that KC and other con owners came forward with evidence that the clique was trying to blackmail them over Vic. KC apparently immediately after the con ended.
The HR lady from Sony fired Vic and then 2 weeks later Funimation did a public virtue signal post, or as the Texas Narrator says it, "It was at this point that our good ol' boys at Funimation dun fucked up."
Ty has ANOTHER SJW vs geeky hobby company in Texas set up, this one heavily implied to be GRUPS et all being targeted by some Dangerhair Troon with a Nazi Haircut. It is also mentioning the broken staircase terminology that was being used to organize the industry blacklist / SJW "hit list" for anime -- i.e., we might be seeing a new form of SJW organization wherein they publicly organize enemies lists to destroy. Because there's never been any pushback about this sort of thing before.
