Something is off about this whole story. It was really weird how she flitted from subreddit to subreddit drumming up attention with her first post, and now less than 48 hours later, she's back with this over-the-top Episode 2? I looked at her oldest posts (2015) - they were consistent with the persona in this story, a youngish married woman with bipolar disorder - but I agree with the Kiwi upthread who said their "gut was screaming troll." I just can't tell what the angle is.

This is gross but normal reconstrution surgery and the "orgasm" has to be way less intense since most of the nerves are gone. They don't even talk about how it feels compared to before the glans thingy rotting off. If it was any good they def. would have mentioned it.

There have been enough of the JustNoMIL stories proven to be fake that I just assume all of them are now. Most of them are so over-the-top from the get-go that it's already hard to believe. Honestly, it's the boring ones (such as when this woman was referred from AITA because she was politely passive-aggressive to her MIL and got told she was wrong, even though she didn't really seem to be) that I believe, because they are normal enough and yet bitchy enough to be real. Though to be honest, on the internet it's best to doubt everything.

Why would I be being sarcastic? That's a huge achievement; think about what it could mean for, say, accident victims, or victims of FGM. I'd heard of nerve grafting for hand and face injuries but those are focused on regaining senses of pressure and heat, and I'd sort of figured that once the genitalia is gone it's gone. I'm not seeing any papers on doing this for penile reconstruction (you'd need longer nerves, maybe?) but that's got to be next.

That's actually one realistic detail that tells me if this is a troll, it's a woman troll. Lots (most?) of mothers see breastfeeding as an important bonding ritual with the baby and formula breaks the bond and implies the mother is replaceable.

Most FtMs simply don't have the money for it, and I think the only surgeon in the US who does phalloplasty for women and is also trained in microsurgery is Dr. Ting and I don't believe he's ever done this particular operation. But yeah it's entirely possible to use a nerve autograft and run nerves from the clitoris throughout the neophallus.

The element of wild experimentation is what makes me interested in SRS procedures in general. Most surgeries are routine and boring. Novel techniques combined with the general incompetence of SRS surgeons (why are they always shredding people's colons) always makes for interesting case reports.

e: also there's an experimental hip widening surgery being developed in Korea at the moment, so that will end up being another surgery that troons get. Look forward to posts about "I'm shitting blood and then I stood up and my pelvis shattered into four pieces."

I know of people who have horrible mother-in-laws.
