No there wasn't anything said he was considering it but considering that basically his friends for all these years left him to die had to hurt. He probably was considering it. Culture war flashpoints almost never have any real effect in real-time, even when there's things that directly happened because of them. There's no real way for the usual press junkets to make this particular shitstorm look remotely good for KickVic side, especially now that the lawsuit has dropped. The usual barrage of hitpieces that would be backing 'em up just isn't there, and their narrative got torn to shreds in the opening salvos. Even their most vicious attack-dogs are getting routed at every turn, and it's fucking amazing to watch.

Not only are we getting better, but they're getting worse. Most of the shock troops who would be shitting out crypieces have been laid off. Digital "journalism" is collapsing up it's own asshole at an alarming rate (well alarming for them). Facebook, Google, and Youtube are hoovering up all the non-adult marketing dollars with smaller freelance/self employed internet marketers grabbing the rest because they can provide better targeted traffic.

The financial model of all these sites is collapsing because why in god's name would you advertise with them?
Rage clicks don't convert into sales and that's all these clowns can deliver.
Their audiences are overbroad because they don't niche down.
The ones that do, niche down on the SJW side and we know how poor those fucks are.
A lot of them won't even offer CPA because they have no faith in the traffic they deliver.

I would wager that this suit caught most of them by surprise and now that it's a suit with a door kicking lawfirm backing it up, the powers that be at these sites are ordering people to get clear of the blast radius. A lot of these sites are on razor thin margins already, it wouldn't take much to Gawker them.

EDIT: Cost Per Action is a big deal and a big reason why Facebook and Google have dominated the digital ad space. You define the target action, set up your trackers, and you only pay for the traffic if you get your desired outcome. So if you're going for email signups, sales, any specific trackable action, you will only pay if the traffic actually does that.

You know, Geekdom101 is kind of growing on me for how be handled all of this. I kind of don't think he really is on anyone's side but he certainly has been way more professional in public than all of these clowns have been.
