Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

Men can get away with weight gain more easily because society lets them. They just call themselves “big guys” and since men are supposed to want to be big over being scrawny (tho the big is supposed to be muscle, not fat), they’re off the hook more easily. Men’s clothes are also generously cut and not meant to be fitted as tightly.

But mostly it’s men claiming to be “big guys” who are strong, when they’re really just fat.
What are you talking about? Are you saying people who say they're 200lbs of muscle they're actually lying? :O
(I'm driven insane by every man who wrote that on their dating profiles)

Also, have you ever noticed that there are no fat-acceptance/body-acceptance groups for men? All you ever see is fat women.

Well the reasonable side of the argument (let's not promote anorexia) was mostly aimed at women because the vast majority of the scary skinny catwalk models were female. So there was more of a reasonable movement present in the first place for the nutters to overrun.

Men also have less to point to in terms of the promotion of dangerous body ideals, so they can't pull the "diets are unhealthy and make people anorexic" card. Male models tend to be hyper-fit with ridiculous eight packs etc. instead of blatantly unhealthy. You could fairly argue that it's still unrealistic and often assisted by drugs & airbrushing, but it's harder to do because the ultimate goal can be defended as a healthy aspiration - you can want abs to show you're strong/fit whereas wanting to be catwalk skinny is purely aesthetic. (Women's 'fitspo' is moving towards the same realm. It'll be interesting to see if there's a push-back on it in the near future because the shit male and female influencers pull is pretty dodgy when you're selling it to kids, no matter how 'healthy' the goal may be).

TL;DR - the unattainable male ideal is still veiled behind health and fitness, so it's harder to build a movement criticizing it.

Does anyone follow @Lovefromdanica on Insta? she posts some of the dumbest arguments ever. She's one of the typical "I UseD toO haVe an EatinG dIsOrdEr bUut I LoOve my Fat selF nOW" body-posi fatties.

I think her account is still private but you can try following her for some good lols. These are from her insta stories today:

This is what lovely Danica looks like:

  1. Intentional weight loss can be perfectly healthy if you have 100+ pounds to lose. Just look at anyone on my 600 pound life.
  2. "Restriction puts pressure on your organs..." No you dumbass its the fat that's putting pressure on your organs.

And lol at the fatty who said they ate less and gained weight. That's literally impossible. There is only one way to get fat and that is to overeat. I guarentee it you were the type of kid who kept a junk food stash in your bedroom.

Why does seemingly every single deathfat have an "eating disorder"? They are always bitching and moaning about the "Pathologicalization " of fatness and yet have no problem when it works in their favor and places the blame outside their own lack of control. Hur dur I'm 400 lbs before 30 but it's my eating disorder I have a disease, blah blah blah.

Hadn't seen this fattie before, thanks, adding her to my morning hate reading.

I think a phrase that is often overlooked in the conversation and that fits way better for a lot of the FAs is disordered eating. I mean it's actively encouraged in BoPo circles to have/developed a disordered relationship with food (eg. 'eat that entire pizza against diet culture and the tub ben & jerrys against colonialist beauty ideals') . You don't get to 350+ lbs without having a baaad relationship with food, and it doesn't necessarily have to be an eating disorder, but it certainly isn't healthy.
And lastly, FAs (as well as Pro Anas) don't realise that having a eating disorder doesn't alleviate you from any responsibility. If anything, it makes you more responsible to seek out help, since you know the problem and we have methods of supporting recovery or at least betterment.
If you fuck up your body by treating it like a fat and sodium skip, you have to live with it. And blaming the fatphobic society or your eating disorder or your fatphobic GP or the weather won't change the fact that you ruined your body.

Anna is Tik Tok famous! The fucking irony of her bragging on her 1.2 million new followers since Tik Tok featured her in January in Miami in the now infamous "Whale returns to the ocean" video AFTER she said one of her 2019 resolutions was not to be the "fat girl in a bikini" anymore.

She is insufferable in this video, more than usual.

Bonus drunk IG stories from last night attached. Looks like she's got another open sore on her face.

She also did a haul video. She's very excited to be paid to praise the clothes. She looks like she's melting in the spring dresses.

Apparently Sofie Hagen is still around, the insufferable Danish cunt has a new book out. Guess who interviewed her? Yours truly, The Guardian! Guess who she mentions as well? Our beloved Tess Holiday:
The rise of plus-size models has been seen as a sign of positive change. But Hagen notes that even Tess Holliday – who is “actually fat”, she says, compared to most other plus-size models – “is still incredibly beautiful”.
“People feel uncomfortable talking about beauty privilege,” she says, “but it is part of this discussion.”
Aside from her size, Hagen notes, Holliday is conventional. “She has a symmetrical face, she’s white, femme, able-bodied, long hair. It’s making fatness more palatable, but not really changing anything.”

Comments are closed, obviously, wouldn't want her to feel unsafe and triggered by all the mean haters and trolls :(

Just watched it as well. She really believes she stands out because of her multiple talents and not as a circus fat lady. Also her makeup, hair and lipstick made her look like a typical midwestern soccer mom (sorry it’s the only region I’m familiar with) which created even more dissonance with her cringy talk and laughter about this dumb app

ETA: holy shit she is hammered and still not seeing it as noticeable.

Insufferable, indeed. Jesus.

I like how she occasionally looks off camera like someone is there with her, and she's not just a pathetic nut sitting alone in her apartment.

Well at least we agree there that Tess only breaks the one beauty standard. She's super close to realising that fat activism is bullshit and doesn't really fit in with most body positivity and actual beauty standard discussion. I'd love to see them go around telling young girls that it's ok they're starting to grow hair and there's nothing to be ashamed of or something and actually develop some critical thinking beyond "I wanna be a pig, but like, a sexy pig"

Most people would lose weight if they were forced to prepare every meal from near-scratch. It’s easy to just stuff your face with fast food, bags of chips, twinkies, etc... food that is easily and immediately available on the slightest whim, without effort.

If every meal or snack you had required 20-40 minutes of prep and cooking, you would only do it if you were really hungry.

I’ve never known a fat foodie. People who really love good, fresh, well prepared meals - people who cook nice dinners every night - are rarely overweight. It’s the mindless eaters who will just shovel processed, instant garbage in their mouths that get fat.

It’s interesting who will sponsor or pay Anna. I had originally thought no brand would want to be associated with a circus fat lady...and no legit brands would save maybe one offs for woke points or media attention for the novelty of using a death fat. But sweat shop clothing mills producing cheap polyester crap who’s only criteria for marketing budget it number of views or clicks for as cheap as possible? Anna and her ilk are perfect. Their marketing isn’t targeted it’s blitzkrieg.

I’ll be very happy to see the cheap fast fashion /disposable clothes trend die off. Buying polyester clothes that look like trash after one wash is terrible on so many levels -but I just found yet another - it fuels sad freak shows like Anna.

Lazers shouldn't be too proud of her Tik Tok success, the were running fatty freakshow ads on mobile apps a few months back.

I'm sure people followed him because he's a proud black man, pay no mind to that cackling emoji the company added.
It's a Chinese app isn't it? Makes sense they'd laugh at American landwhales
Honestly it's both funny and sad when these people think they're loved and adored but they're actually just being laughed at not with. But that's the case quite a bit in North America, a whole lot more in other countries which still shame people out of being whales

Every woman.

...size 12w-44w.

Typical BoPo.

The irony is that the mega-fats really take issue with the "every woman" marketing since WW doesn't have mass-manufactured clothes to size infinity (as if that's somehow possible or profitable). Ash from the Fat Lip Podcast, the woman with legs so deformed that she must chafe walking to her toilet and back, always bitches about this because she can't fit into size 38 jeans from WW.

Why do these ugly heifers think it is a good idea to post (semi-)nudes? On what planet does that get them praise?

You might be surprised. I stumbled upon a pseudo-porn account on Twitter recently that were mostly crotch shots of an obese nurse in the UK. She was getting a lot of likes. The thing that was especially horrifying/hilarious to me was that, even ignoring the cottage cheese thighs, the photos weren't erotic in any way whatsoever. The woman was wearing ugly granny panties, ffs. It was like if someone's fat middle-aged mom posted crotch shots, but maybe that's part of the draw.

I don't know about this. Cooking things from scratch certainly helps, but, if what you're cooking is calorie dense, you're going to struggle with your weight. There are some fat celebrity chefs, for example. Deathfats seem relatively unusual among foodies, I'll give you that.
