Chris's GameStop Assault - What happened? Why? How?

... but enough about the Game Place incident.
I really hope that's not lost on those who will review his case. For whatever reason, this is the second time Chris has escalated vandalism to assault.
Agreed. His "Don't call anyone" was not a panicked scream, it was a flippant, arrogant exit. Same with the spray. He didn't recoil from the guy, it was an offhanded "Well fuck you," gesture. I don't know if he went in intending to mace somebody, but he did not panic.
It's possible to be both panicked and flippant at the same time. I don't think Chris was so panicked that he can be excused from what he did, but I'm sure it played a role in how he reacted.

I was honestly creeped out a bit at how calmly he fucking maced that poor guy. He just walked by and sprayed that guy down so casually. Like every other video he's in, he does everything so clumsily with these goofy movements, but in this one he just whips out the mace and uses it without even stopping or fumbling.

If it was mace, which I think has now been confirmed, Chris might actually be in trouble.
He can't cry self defense. Look at the guy he sprayed, at no point between DOUT CAWL ANNYBUDDY and the actual spraying did the guy come closer to him, if you look he was actually backing away the whole time.

It was clearly premeditated to at least some degree - he had the can of mace in his hand ready to go. Maybe he only thought to pull it out a moment prior when he noticed he had been caught vandalizing, but he didn't scramble to pull it out when he saw guys coming at him. He was ready to attack before being attacked.
this. Even if it's just for a few seconds, pulling out the mace ahead of time in the commission of a crime (trespassing etc.) means straight up premeditation. His online anti-blue-arms manifesto shows intent, so the very fact that he took the mace / pepper spray with him shows premeditation as well. Given the number of violations Chris committed in this video alone, any competent prosecutor who bothers to spend 15 minutes or so googling his name on the internet would have a field day nailing him in court. And that doesn't include whatever he did before the video or in the Sears or in the parking lot.

The only thing in doubt is whether or not the prosecutor thinks Chris is worth the effort.

I think he got caught, and his next thought was "I'd better hurt these people, maybe they won't be able to get me in trouble if I hurt them". And he honestly thinks that's okay.
I'm not so sure Chris thought it out even that far. I suspect what he really thought was more: "Curses! Foiled again. Somebody must pay." His victim was simply a target of opportunity representative of one of Chris' preferred bugaboos (manajerk, jerkop, etc.) close enough to the exit that Chris figured he could get away after assaulting him.

Chris can't cry self defense period. Full stop. He assaulted the employee during the commission of a crime (several, actually) and while attempting to flee the same. Attempting some self defense plea in court is about the worst thing he could do.

I'm just happy that the crystal clear video showing what happened is going to find itself donated to the prosecutor's office.
Repeatedly. And from multiple sources, no less.

Bigfoot hunters should be so lucky.

I'm sure there's a camera at GameStop. We aren't needed.

You are very correct, but the best thing objectively isn't always what Chris thinks it is.
I have a feeling in my feels department he's going to try to use it. He wants to use it. He wants to use the CWCki and the fact the employee was a JERK (possibly rapist), who is evil because he's a male identifying as a male.
His lawyer is in for a wild ride.*

Chris has never been maced (amazingly). He probably didn't realise that you can severely injure someone with it. I highly doubt that BLARMS could get him so angry that he'd rationalise almost blinding a guy - he probably just heard of pepper spray in a cartoon or sitcom, and took it to be some form of instant JERK repellent.

But weens want to help.

Police departments around the world can only dream of the level of community support that Ablemarle County law enforcement is about to receive.

Honestly, I doubt he'd care. Chris isn't very up to speed on the whole empathy thing.

This. Mace turns up a few times in stuff like Family Guy and its just a orange looking spray that makes the victim go down screaming, nothing about the horrible stinging or possible blindness
That and I'm pretty sure Chris got some weak stuff you can buy in a cheap shop, probably in hot pink or something to match. He probably thinks he should use a more 'feminine' weapon than the old pocket knife

That poor bastard who is on this case is about to get 3000 more emails than his usual 15 with screenshots of Facebook messages about blarms and bombing sega and telling people to be violent and he's probably going, "the fuck's a Sega?!"

He was aware he was being filmed too because he blows a raspberry at the camera 1 second in. I'm honestly surprised he didn't also mace the cameraman and try to delete the video off his phone or something.
He's retarded and had to think fast.

I feel like even Chris would have thought twice if he'd known beforehand that he could have blinded someone. Then again I can't even begin to think like Chris, so I have no idea.
I dunno. He regularly tells people to go die. becoming blind is less of a punishment for annoying OPL than death, so you know.

I keep wondering how Chris was arrested. Did they nab him in the parking lot or did they get him at his house? I imagine that there was a lot of raging involved. And considering Chris has a history of resisting arrest, I bet he probably tried that shit again.
He resisted, you just know he resisted. Personally I kind of hope he managed to get home before they picked him up. Nothing would deflate his ego faster than having the damn jerkops break into his inner sanctum and drag him off in cuffs

Nah, it's just the first rule of the Chandlers:
"If it doesn't affect me, it's not my problem."

I just don't see a reason to give Chris any benefit of the doubt here. He's repeatedly exposed his asshole behaviour and here he used pepper spray against someone.

The only thing that I might count is his 'tism giving him problems to understand the situation and feel more threatened than he actually is, but he doesn't look threatened, panicked or fearful. He just does a sassy stride towards the door and non-challantly maces a poor sap in the face on his way out.
