Chris's GameStop Assault - What happened? Why? How?

He was aware he was being filmed too because he blows a raspberry at the camera 1 second in. I'm honestly surprised he didn't also mace the cameraman and try to delete the video off his phone or something.
The cameraman was too far from the exit for Chris to make a clean getaway. Also Chris has plenty of experience with annoying store employees, so he probably has some vague idea there are rules about when and how they can lay hands on him. Civilians are largely an unknown factor to him and might very well bring instant karma down on his head in a very immediate and painful manner. Chris is stupid, but he's not that stupid.

I feel like even Chris would have thought twice if he'd known beforehand that he could have blinded someone.
Only if it occurred to him that such an injury would result in greater consequences for him. If not, Chris would probably view that as a bonus.

I keep wondering how Chris was arrested. Did they nab him in the parking lot or did they get him at his house? I imagine that there was a lot of raging involved. And considering Chris has a history of resisting arrest, I bet he probably tried that shit again.
It's possible the police had shoulder cams, and their vehicle definitely had a dash cam. It's doubtful we'll ever see any footage, though, and certainly not any time in the near future. Still, a lot can be gleaned from the police report and the specific charges laid against him when those go public.

It doesn't cause injury. It just hurts really bad for like 45 minutes.
I beg your pardon?
Pepper spray can blind a person permanently or cause them to CHOKE TO DEATH.
I'll admit that second part is incredibly rare and most certainly needs some sort of issues on the attacked person, but let's just assume the guy in the yellow shirt had a bad Asthma problem, do you think a faceful of Pepper Spray would be that harmless?
The spray is under high pressure, so when it comes out, it gets really cold, having that hit the eyeballs at a short distance can cause serious harm to them.

Admittedly, that's only gonna happen with really strong products and if aimed for the face (two things that fortunately didn't happen here) but Pepper spray is dangerous.

Chris has never been maced (amazingly). He probably didn't realise that you can severely injure someone with it. I highly doubt that BLARMS could get him so angry that he'd rationalise almost blinding a guy - he probably just heard of pepper spray in a cartoon or sitcom, and took it to be some form of instant JERK repellent.
I agree. Chris thinks his life is like a TV show or something. Since he's the hero, nothing truly bad can happen to him, and the hero has to have the last word, the final strike against the villain. So why not mace a guy on the way out as a final "hmph"? He's just so damn sure he's in the right it never occurred to him he might be committing a serious crime instead of a routine trespass.

Since when has that stopped him? As others have pointed out in other threads, most security doesn't really have the time to be on the look out for Chris. As long as he keeps a low profile and doesn't tard out too much he'd be able to sneak back in without any real trouble.
Low profile  I'm sure bored mall security likes to share chris stories with the rookies so even the new guy has heard about him after a month or so. Are they really actually that busy?

Adding to the whole "Chris thinks he's a protagonist on a TV show" theory: this is a part of him being "sassy" or something, like on TV. But really, his whole life he's thought he's the protagonist on a TV show. If things weren't enough like TV, he was never afraid to stand up and make it like that.

Agreed. His "Don't call anyone" was not a panicked scream, it was a flippant, arrogant exit.

Getting off scott-free, at least from his point of view, from the Schneider incident has made him cocky. This time five years ago he'd probably have fled the store as fast as his feet could carry him and fired off a curse-ye-ha-me-ha at the jerk by the entrance.

Too bad that this show apparently is going to end like St. Elsewhere, which come to think of it errily resembles Chris' life anyway:

-it's going to end with the mentally challenged child in a mental hospital
-said child also imagined an entire franchise largley based on a toy he always played with
-the series will end with a living creature having its life support cut and it dies. For Chris, this will pretty much be the end of him as his deteriorating mental state and assaulting the general public for simply saying they are going to call the cops all in the name of trying to vandalize a-

Hold on. Didn't Chris actually draw a picture of himself vandalizing a Sonic Boom standee? And post it on Facebook?

Yeah, this.

People are pointing to Oct 28 as an example of how jailing Chris now won't help him, and he'll be just as bad when he gets out as he was before. But I see it in the opposite way: Chris didn't serve any jail time for Oct 28, he was just arrested and held for bail. I think actual jail time will teach Chris not to fuck with authority.

Not that he won't bitch about authority, of course. He'll bitch from afar, without risking further consequences.

Yeah Chris probably sprayed the guy cause of jokes about pepper spray on TV.

But let's be real. Its a weapon, and it is to be used in a physical confrontation when someone is raping or mugging someone or about to rape or mug someone

Shits made to disable someone on contact and is used often to avoid using lethal force.

I think Chris held that thing in his hand going in and out cause he thought it would be a game changer this time around in what now has become planned confrontations with store employees.

If that doesn't justify raising minimum wage I don't know what does

I think he got caught, and his next thought was "I'd better hurt these people, maybe they won't be able to get me in trouble if I hurt them". And he honestly thinks that's okay.
Yeah, this is important to this event.
Chris' entire defense mechanism centres around the concept of "well he started it" In his mind, if somebody has wronged him first, it's game on. of course, it's even more ridiculous in this scenario because "instigation" from the other parties was perfectly justified and reasonable.

Remember folks, in the run up to his first court appearance, Chris' preparation for his defense was to save and print off copies of posts and the like of people making fun of him on the internet. His mindset must have been one of "look at all these people being mean to me, it's all their fault and Snyder's their leader"

Since when has that stopped him? As others have pointed out in other threads, most security doesn't really have the time to be on the look out for Chris. As long as he keeps a low profile and doesn't tard out too much he'd be able to sneak back in without any real trouble.

You mean like, when he absolutely tarded out bigtime yesterday?

Well, he's about to go through a real-life version of OZ this coming week.

Even if it was the farthest thing from self-defense, Chris is going to claim it was self-defense. Look at the 10/28 incident: to this day he swears it was all Michael Snyder's fault for rubbing his shins on their unmoving van (and doesn't even get that calling it a "Stonewall Jackson maneuver" or whatever completely undercuts his argument). This time there's video, so there's no question what happened, but he is still going to swear up, down and sideways that he was in fear for his life from the jerkop/troll conspiracy and was perfectly justified in lashing out, also sensory overload autism male lesbian etc.

The first arrest Chris probably didn't even realize/notice the financial repercussions of it. How much money was lost due to him and his mother refusing to take a plea deal for so long. When money cannot buy his way out of this problem, he might finally realize there is some consequence to his own action.

Then again being Chris he has serious trouble putting two and two together, so it becomes the Gamestop and Sega Conspiracy.
