What I especially get angry about is when they don't use the "it's just a drawing" argument for any other kinds of art except for their lolicon. For example
"This guy said he liked looking at gay art and pleasures himself to it every day, he is obviously gay"
"Well.... no, because it is just a drawing. It isn't a real person"
"Yeah...... but he knows the picture is suppose to be of two gay men having sex and he still likes it. Doesn't matter if it's a drawing, it shows he is gay if he looks at it every day"
...... now let's replace gay art with lolicon.
"Dude, you said you like lolicon. Art that is made for people to pleasure themselves to children. Why isn't Chris Hansen on your door"?
"HEY! It's just a drawing! So just because I like lolicon doesn't mean that I am a pedophile because it is just a drawing"
"Except, you know the drawing is suppose to be a child in a sexual light. Meaning the artist intentionally knew this was suppose to be a child and he drew it for you to get your cock wet through again..... a child. It doesn't matter at all if it's real or not, you know what it is suppose to be"
"Oh my god, this is whole "R rated movies and video games makes you violent argument" again. This is the exact same thing. So you aren't seen as violent and messed up because you like M rated games because it is just fiction, but some how I am seen as a pedophile because I jerk off to art of children having sex? How can you not see this is the exact same argument"?
I think it's either because being a pedophile is a title no one wants on them, so they try to make any excuse they can so they won't get that title although what they are doing is pedophilia so they are just denying it or they know deep inside they know what they are doing is wrong and don't want to admit it.
I mean, just think for 2 minutes. What kind of person do you need to be to jerk off to lolicon every day unless you are attracted to what you know is suppose to be in the art? As in being 100% comfortable and not uncomfortable or awkward in any way. That, should answer itself.
I once heard the more solid argument regarding lolicon that no actual kids were involved in its production. It’s still creepy as hell to me, but it does manage to keep some people away from illegal pictures and illegal activities. Problem with that is - it also encourages other people to seek out more extreme rushes once the thrill of drawings subside.
