Early in yesterday's stream (I'm sure he's spoke of it throughout the week) Phil addressed Avengers: Endgame saying something along the lines of 'I would love to see it, but...' and then explaining how Kat doesn't want to see it/has no interest/hates those movies.

I though it sad. Everyone's sat through stuff that they didn't want to see/done stuff they didn't necessarily want to do for the sake or happiness of their SO. Or, he could leave after a second stream and go watch it himself? It's not like they have to do everything together or as if Kat doesn't get time for herself when she's off at the gym.

Also, in the time I've been his chat, everyone's been good about spoilers which is nice considering how many "new" viewers there are for MK11 and how few mods are in attendance.

It's bullshit. Phil doesn't leave his house unless circumstances demand it. You think the handful of Marvel movies he's expressed interest in are the only ones he can't go see just because Kat doesn't want to? This guy tweets out every time he goes to IKEA and ~80% of his meals eaten out; if he was going to the theater to see other stuff we'd know.

Don't be fooled. He's just throwing Kat under the bus to cover being such a shut-in.

Thousands of MachinimaBux on stupid overpriced video game statues. Use them for a cool layout for the stream? No. Break them and try and sell them years later for a fraction of what they costed? Yea boy, that's DSP for you guys.

What if a detractor sees him in the cinema and confronts him IRL? DSP is an internet tough guy, plus real life cahmbos are laggy as fuck.

Kat hating marvel movies is a longstanding consistency of Phil's characterization of her.

So its actually likely he's telling the truth when he says she refused to see it.

Why that means he can't see it himself, I have no idea.

Doesn't Like Marvel Waifu is the sort of thing the universe would squander on a granite brained vacuum of taste basic nerd like Phil. Otoh, she's the kind of girl who'd marry Phil so I guess that's one bullet the rest of us dodged.

The reason she doesn't like Marvel movies is because she claims her ex made her watch all of them. This was what was stated during her first time on his stream I believe. Subaruman told us that was a lie.

I'd say it's much more likely that Kat dislikes most movies, if not the experience of going to a movie theater as a whole, being that she a) has the personality of a rain puddle and b) is, if one can believe it, possibly even more socially awkward than her husband.

DSP should have ACCIDENTALLY gotten better at video games by now. He's put in over 10K hours. But because he actively refuses to learn, he's never actually improved. That's virtually impossible.

It's almost as if the guy with a 10 year legacy who plays games for a living is worse than the casual gamer that plays for fun who might pick up the odd skill needed to do better.

Yes, but he really has mastered jack shit. He's not bad as in a mere lack of skill. He has some kind of perfect form of active anti-skill.

Anyone can be bad at anything, but a guy who has mastered the art of perfect uselessness like Phil? That's a once in a lifetime talent right there.

Not even selling to the whole viewership on his stream; you gotta meet the right criteria!

  1. Be on his stream to be aware of the statue sale
  2. Be a long-time trusted viewer
  3. Hope your e-mail isn't lost in his spam filter like everything else is
  4. Be within a reasonable distance so shipping costs aren't astronomical
  5. Want a specific statue that has a high-likelihood of being broken
  6. Hate yourself

Disabled people such as Rob (and Superblindman), imagine the people who donated to Rob for raising awareness of disabled people knows that he immediately put that money toward a greasy pig who plays vidya game poorly on his couch everyday

And of course he is European.........

has anyone bought any of his statues? i would hope to see this whole thing just flop as dsp asking way too much. he probably wants to charge something like 400% above what its worth

To be fair to Phil, he bought that thousand dollar portal gun, as well as other stuff, for props for Project 7. I'm sure Phil made his money back since Project 7 was a successful series that lasted hundreds of episodes over many years. In fact the special effects company that worked with Phil, Respect the Pact, revolutionized the industry by refusing to be compensated for their work in any way.

Next time you guys swing by Phil's Twitch, ask him for a limited edition Project 7 tee shirt. He will probably send you one because he is known for his generosity.

He's been bitching about the lack of interaction, but he hasn't hit the panic button like he normally would. He for sure would have by now gritted his teeth and started playing Days Gone like most of his fans want to instead of sticking with MK11, a game that his fans have clearly shown they give no fucks about. Once the bills and that first tax payment come next month and things still haven't improved, his tune will change.
Also, whenever things are slow for Phil, that's usually the cue for a Pig Whale to come along and give him thousands of dollars out of nowhere. Phil's pigroach luck will probably save him once again.

Hey man you say that but this is the first time he hasn’t had a whale come swoop in and gift subs to a sub goal within the first like week. I know this is optimistic and always proven wrong(and I do think a top tier whale will show up again eventually) but this is lookin pretty suspect. I think he’s alienated his fans pretty hard this time, he’s pulling numbers but none of them want to do anything except throw a few quarters at him currently. At the very least this is a sign of things to come, but we’ll see
