I said this before but the first bank/creditor he calls to start his plan was going to be the first of many painful dominos that fall.

The first one will want as much of their money back as possible. They're not going to be a bleeding heart when they know other creditors are going to bitch him out to get their money.

I don't know if it's gotten to this point, but the collections people are going to insult him every way possible. I don't know what sort of background info they can pull on him, but if they see he was recently married they're going to right after his manhood and tell him he's the head of the house and needs to figure his shit out immediately.

No, they won't. There are yuge, gigantic laws against collection agencies being anything but completely courteous to the people they're authorized to contact and they have a vested interest in doing so because if they're not they can get slapped with a harrassment lawsuit very easily. They are also not extremely profitable ventures and so they don't have the assets laying around to settle after one of their agents calls someone a deadbeat motherfucker.

Trust me, I like the idea of someone verbally abusing Phil and him being unable to talk shit back as much as the next person but rules on them are so stringent that they couldn't even talk to Kat about his debt depending on what state they're located in. They're not going to emasculate him. They will tell him with a smile in their voice what action they'll take on him when he decides to stop paying, so there's some schadenfreude in that, if you're hungry :heart-full:

I think what happened is that they told him they have the option to sue this yutz if he refuses to pay. When they see the amount of money he makes and where he lives, there is no way a bank/creditor will just allow this clown to stop making payments when he can clearly afford it.

And why did he have to throw in the jab that the people he talked to are know-nothings? If it was the mortgage company, I would assume the people kind of know how their business works.

Maybe he tried calling one of his credit card companies to reduce his payments like he said he would, probably would have to go through a couple levels of customer service to even get that started. If that's the case then they probably said "lol, nope" after an actual person looked at his credit history.

Anybody know if banks can access tax information for investigating something like this? We've established circuitously that Phil's pulling in $100k+ gross income. If a bank is able to pull his tax filings and see what he's got, I have to think they would laugh in his face.

Bank can run a credit check, but what usually happens is that the bank asks you to fill out a form that allows them to request your tax transcripts from the IRS on your behalf. That is a normal practice in these cases unless Phil just sends them a copy. Either way banks always ask for copies of tax returns in order to verify the income that you say you make,

DSP just gave a sneak peek into what might be [pure speculation]the next financial crisis[/pure speculation] arc.

He fired off a lengthy complaint about being "stressed out" because of stuff "going on behind the scenes" and asked if his viewers would go easy on him today. He told he just got off a 30-45 minute phonecall with "nobodies" that got him annoyed and stressed out, and mentioned it being one of the many setbacks that keep haunting him.

He didn't want to explain what it is, but it sounded a lot like money troubles again.

Got a clip rendering, will update the post when it's ready.

-edit- Behind the scenes stress:

I listened to the video but I had to stop it after the first minute because it enrages me when Pigroach tells everyone about how busy and overworked he is and how he has no time to relax, bitch you stream for far less time than any other professional streamer, you take a break in between streams and when the day is over you consume media until early hours in the morning while drinking gin with sprite.

Phil on the phone with the mortgage company:

"...listen, I don't know if you know who I am, but I'm Darksydephil. I'm kind of a big deal on the internet. Look, I have this gig on Twitch TV. How about I give you guys a shout out on stream and we call this debt even..."

So after talking to these nudniks on the phone for AN HOUR, I finally get someone on the line who KNOWS his shit and he says "Phil, you did nothing wrong, we love you, we love your content, we've been fans for 10 years and we're going to allow you to not pay your mortgage, sound good?"

I still dont get after ALL THIS, people still thinks dsp saying the truth and just start theorizing.

I bet nothing happened, he just wants to set up his next scam.
if this is the image he wants to the world to see, then so be it
let phil be known as the idiot who can't save a dime and needs to beg for money from children and his mom all the time

Could this be why he's currently asking for PSN Giftcards as donations, selling statues and seems to dislike big donations(Reaction to the 100$)?

If he is it isn't gonna do him any good. They'll pull a five or ten year history (or just for the years he's owned the condo, if that's the lender he's dealing with) and give him one of these.

It's really odd, isn't it?

I mean, he has been given money to buy games with multiple times in the past, never mentioning any of these terms and conditions. Not to forget he received a pretty hefty sum to buy a PS4 Pro and a new television about 6 months ago... And now all of a sudden getting donated money to buy stuff is the biggest problem in the world for some reason.

Nah, I don't think it's that deep. He'd have to convert a lot of his income to Google play cards like an Indian tech scammer in order to see any sort of real gain from it, and that doesn't even cover the effort of having to resell or use that money in any gainful way.

I think he was just disappointed that he had to spend a good chunk of that 100 cuck bux he received on something he obviously had no desire for. If he really wanted to play Days Gone, he would've gotten it and played it on Day 1. He didn't give a fuck about that game, and I think the exasperation in his voice was just an emotional expression of, "Why couldn't you have just given me 100 bucks with no strings attached?"

He only made something like $30 off of that $100 dono. $60 for the game, and let's be generous and give him another tenner for sales tax and tax on the income minus whatever minute amount he gets to write off. So he lost 70% of the single largest amount he's gotten since his last "marathon", not counting wedding/family shit.

I see a new finance plot line is already in the works. Phil’s solemn promise to ailing Ma Burnell (who could die at any minute) has been forgotten, and she has been cast aside like BSV, Tut, Mrs. Wagginz, et al once milked dry.
