Arin Hanson / Egoraptor / Grump - "Hey I'm Grump!" of Game Grumps fame, hypocritical SJW doxer, shat himself recording a let's play

I was looking at some of Arin's awesome animations, I see that GG's decline was foretold. The difference between the Metal Gear and Pokemon ones are staggering. The Metal Gear one has a lot of focus on subtle humor and poking fun at the actual game. There are some lowbrow jokes and exaggerated animation, but not nearly as much as the Pokemon one. That one is pretty much nothing but Arin screaming in weird voices and drawing the most deranged characters he possibly can.
Something to note is that he got a lot of positive feedback. People loved the Pokemon one, it has a ton of views and likes. It's really no wonder that when he made the sequelitis videos he filled them with lots of random screaming and bizarre drawings. Arin is certainly a shithead, but it's also too bad that so much of his fanbase encourages him to be that way.

Could you fill in on that? I know they edit for the grumps, and they seem to be on pretty good terms from what's in super megas vids (although that could be a show)

It's back a handul of pages. SuperMega did some recording on Animal Crossing and their podcasts and kept getting interrupted.

You know what? I take back my earlier comment about things having been different on GG if Jon had stayed. No one can save GG from Arin, and no one can save Arin from himself.

Oh, I'm sure they could - if Arin could be forced into listening to criticism every once in awhile instead of his friends surrounding him in a hug box/echo chamber and continuously enabling his delusions of grandeur (at least, that's how they seem to handle him).

You do realize you're asking for the impossible, right?

Oh, absolutely. Not like the people he surrounds himself with are much better (case in point - the whole kerfuffle involving Dan on reddit). Can't get through a PR/ non apology session without having to mention his massive support group and how much he loves them for loving him. gag

Did they already cancelled their Twilight Princess let's play?

The fact that they had to be pressured/bullied into placing that virtual novel on a top ten gaming list takes away any prestige such a placement would normally have.

Only a self centered child would proudly crow over such a 'victory'.
She might have been "tipped" into advocating the game so strongly, but we must doubt it without evidence. It's still strange behavior and not at all normal though.

Not sure what this is all about; but Arin's the last person to be putting someone on blast like this.

It's about this:

Their twitter is on 5K followers so I can't imagine their twitch channel was much bigger, but Arin's got a lot of balls lashing out at someone small for something that doesn't even affect him. Desperate overreaching.

Being a Twitch streamer means everything you say while live is in the public eye, so incidents you think might not be a big deal could 'blow up', as was the case with Kuno on his stream from May 1.

Kuno and his girlfriend Hana were looking at various pictures of art designed by Neko, another Twitch streamer who specializes in art, making fun of it the whole time.

The two were browsing through Neko's Twitter account, and had little positive to say, while their viewers went along with it, mentioned how she has 4,000 followers.

"It's so bad, none of it is good," Hana said. "My sister could draw better than this when she was 5-years-old."

It didn't end there, however, as Kuno jumped in with some comments of his own. "Hold up, you know she's powerful though," he said. "Look how broken she is."

To this point, their comments could be spun as just some very harsh criticism, but Hana also went on to suggest that Neko could be autistic.

"Why do people care about her," she asked. "Maybe she's autistic. Maybe people feel really bad for her, maybe something's wrong with her," before continuing to call the art trash.

"It literally looks like MS Paint," she said. "Her art is trash, like it's not art. It just makes me upset that some trash, I don't even want to call her an artist, some piece of trash who like learned how to use MS Paint can have more followers and attention and love than my Kuno just because she has a vagina instead of a fuckin' dick."

Community comes to support of Neko

In the above clip, you can see Neko is just sitting at around 4,000 followers, but that number has since skyrocketed after the clip went viral.

Her Twitter page now shows her sitting at over 18,000 followers, more than quadrupling her followers since all this went down. Her Twitch account has more than 26,000 followers too, nearly tripling the number on Kuno's stream.

She sent out a tweet thanking everybody who came to her side and supported her: "I really hope this can bring an awareness and we at least learn something from it," she wrote.

On her stream, she addressed the incident while condemning the actions of both Kuno and Hana.

"Artists don't underestimate someone's effort," she said before breaking down in tears.

Kuno apologized for what happened

Kuno posted a public apology on Twitter regarding the incident by letting everyone know how badly he messed up and said he will follow up with a more in-depth apology later on.

"I fucked up today guys," he wrote. "I let Neko and my community and the entire art community down today, and I'm in the wrong. I assume 100% of the responsibility of what occurred on my stream.

Unlike Neko, Kuno's replies were not so supportive, condemning him for his actions.

It appears as if Kuno lost a fraction of his Twitch following as his follower goal during the streamer was 9,001 and it shows he made it all the way to 9,143 but is now sitting below that number. However, it's slowly climbing back up.

I'll somewhat give him in a pass in that this was originally brought up to him by Ross who made a similar Tweet, so it's not like he was actively looking to comment. That being said:

Meanwhile, outside of Twitter, this has also now become a thing.

Remember kids, if you shit on everybody in the Sonic franchise and the franchise itself, you too will be rewarded with grandeur and endorsements from the people who officially shitpost its existence on its social media, but also get tours to Sega Japan and meet Sonic Team themselves.

It's the Wendy's shit all over again.

The thing that gets me is that they aren't wrong, her art is pretty shitty for a partnered twitch art streamer.

NGL, that song wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Though I'm pretty sure Arin was also under heavy supervision from Sega.

How old is the artist in question, anyway? And is she actually mentally challenged?

The rude criticism is one thing (whether it's valid or not - people are not entitled to like your work and don't have to censor their opinion when voicing their criticism); but, if the artist in question was a child and/or mentally challenged, then it makes that criticism pretty awful.

However, if the artist is an adult and has full control over her faculties - and is just breaking down because a couple of people were rather harsh in their crticism over her work, I have less sympathy for her. People can be assh*les; but if you're going to be that sensitive when facing harsh criticism (justified or not), you're in the wrong business (this, of course, applies to Arin/the Grumps as a whole, as well).

According to the streamer who was being bullied, Neko, she said on stream she's been doing art iirc for 2 years now or 1 year? She said she's been going to school for art but it's not her major and that she draws everyday. (Might be getting a bit of the details mixed up) I honestly felt bad for her cause she seems sweet and harmless at best and didn't no nothing wrong to cause any of this to happen. From looking at the vod, it seemed like she was just streaming and someone on Twitter tagged her that Kun0 and his girlfriend Hana found Neko due to her being associated with someone they recognized and cause Neko has a bigger follower count on Twitter then Kun0. Hana started roasting Neko questioning why people liked her and kun0 joined in, which is how all of this happened. Normally people will insult you either way based on your artistic abilities but i felt my heart sink for Neko. She cried on stream and tried to keep her composure as much as possible while gaining support from her chat.

Twitch VOD is from Neko and when she realized kun0 and Hana talked shit about her. You can see how things just spiraled down for her and i feel for the poor girl.

Kun0 is banned for 7 days on Twitch according to him on Discord, but nobody has access to it since he pulled the plug on all of the Discord invites. His girlfriend also ran away from Twitter purging her account since this blew up. Another artist, who seems to have a following, was found in the VOD talking shit about Neko in the chat. They also made a shit apology after being caught.

I think she's in her 20s, so I don't think this is something Arin needed to direct his million followers at. People are contacting the guy's college and trying to get him kicked out over this.

And Arin, no doubt, would have no remorse if it happened. The important thing is that he looks good for speaking out aginst people who hurt other people's fee fees.
