I don't know if it's terrifying or insulting. With the way he talks to his viewers, I could imagine him telling the Lowe's/Home Depot clerk he doesn't know anything about Phil's completely 100% unique circumstance that no one else can solve.
This is the man who couldn't find the reception desk at a hospital.

Hey, if you're looking for a fun one-off video, please consider putting this along with the clip you already shared--

"Nevermind. He did record it, but he uploaded just that prestream to his dspgaming channel, and the actual stream (where he was on camera) to kingofhatevlogs. Because he's a smart business man. SO. Here's your timestamps for this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU1WyaCpz6E

~6:36 for "all the money went to taxes", ~21:00 for another "no fundraised money spent on the wedding or anything else but taxes"

From this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPsf7rEznvk

Around 1 hour in, he talks about using some of the fundraised money for bills and that he still needed about $4000 out of the $5000, meaning he spent approximately $1500 of the $2500 he got from his begathons on non-tax stuff."

In short, Phil, in the course of ~1 hour, completely contradicted himself on how the begathon monies were spent. And based on the clip above, has already gone back on that again.
Myeah, but to play devil's advocate, there's a caveat: at the first timestamp of the first video he is (or at least <<could be>>) talking about his beggathons which, technically, were specifically aimed at raising funds for taxes, unlike the "random" gifting of subs done by emerald_seven during regular streams (1 hour timestamp of the second video), which he could consider to be just regular income which he can spend on whatever.

So when he today says "all that money raised previous to that time away (the trip)", he's probably (but at least <<could be>>) referring to the beggathons.

He already somewhat said that Tut and E7 money went to the engagement/wedding. With Tut's money going to the engagement ring and E7's going to the preparation/bill money.

He won't be paying the $1200 for tahx guy in one go, but he'll do it in payments instead.

This is probably a dumb question, but when he hustled his mother out of her retirement fund, why didn't he include the $1200 in that? Did he just find out this week that he had to pay the guy? He's been throwing out a number close to $1200 for months. Did that number not count until he received an official bill (which I've seen personally people react like that who have no ability to plan for the future)? Is this DSP just making up more bullshit?

Here's another dumb question: how are DSP's parents and Kat's credit? Since DSP has clearly maxed out all his cards, couldn't Kat get a credit card? Couldn't his parents get him one in their name to use in the short term? I'd like to think maybe they are smarter than to give DSP a credit card, because he will instantly max it out on bullshit, but his parents literally just gave him $4K+ and Kat just tied herself financially to him.

Or is this all just a bunch of bullshit? I like how, even if DSP is lying, the actual story he's telling even if we believe it to be true still makes himself look like a bumbling idiot. Or maybe that's part of the hustle: DSP portrays himself as the bumbling idiot to get people to throw pity bucks at him.

I'm still not sure if I am giving DSP way too much credit or not nearly enough credit. Probably the former.

I posted that but I'm kinda thinking that there's a reckoning coming with regards to twitch bounties. Streamers who don't care about the game they're playing making in an hour what a programmer or artist makes in a month is probably gonna be a big story in the coming months, and it's been Twitch's dirtiest secret.
It's not really a secret I feel. Same with money from YouTube.

But I think except for the few, most people know this time in the spotlight is fleeting at best and don't tend to take themselves too seriously

What fucking cost for the wedding? I got married at the justice of the peace, and I think altogether - including license - it was $200

He has all kinds of ancillary fees for everything he does that get rolled-over into different begging schemes constantly. It's kinda like how he treated those 0% promotional rate credit cards that he charged the fuck out of and kept trying to transfer to different promotional rate cards until he wasn't able to any longer. I'll suck my own dick from my post a few above this about him rolling-over his begging schemes until we're basically paying for his utilities and daily accessories instead of paying for what he says he needs money for directly: it's not his taxes, now it's his 'tax guy' because he promised he was done talking about taxes; then it will be 'muh bills' (not taxes) because he has to put the normal 'bill funds' towards his taxes; then it will be something else so he's not begging for what he begged for last month.

It's probably half-bullshit, because I really do think he's that financially irresponsible, but, yes, like you said, he has to tell so many fibs that just pile on top of each other and contradict previous fibs (and creating a new, alternate fib-line like it's a Fallout quest or some 11th-Dimension Multiple Universe theory), that it makes him look like a complete and utter fucking moron. I don't think he does it specifically to get pity bucks, but just to keep the begging up because he seems to notice some trend that if he doesn't beg, he makes less.

So... during today's pre-stream DSP said he owes his tahx guy $1200 in total. I've clipped it and made some edits to cut out some uninteresting yapping and/or him repeating shit.

The $1200 Tahx Guy Arc:
View attachment 745800

If for some reason you can't listen to it or don't want to, here are the important quotes:

- "One of the things I've been talking about here on pre-stream, is that I was bothered by financial stuff behind the scenes during my day off yesterday."

- "My tahx guy contacted me, and said: I want you to make a payment against your account because you owe me for doing your federal taxes this year. He charged me over $1200 to do that, and I don't have that money. So I have to start paying him slowly, I have to make a major payment."

- "I'm taking all those tips you gave me over the last week, and I'll be making a payment to him with them. But all the tips I was going to put to bills 'n stuff this month are now gone because they have to go to my accountant to get him to do the work on the federal tax plan."

- "This month will be insanely financially tight, to the point where I KNOW at one point that I'm going to be behind on payments on stuff, there's no way I'm going to be able to pay them all. I just know it, because I don't have enough money, because I was not here streaming for a whole week in April."

- "All the money I raised previous to that time away, went to taxes. So it's not like I have any extra funds at all to make up for the fact I'm gonna make a lot less because I wasn't here for a week last month."

- "I need tips to pay bills this month. If I don't get enough tips this month I can't pay certain bills. I don't know what's going to happen, but obviously they're all gonna have late-fees 'n shit and say everything's behind."

Some notes:

1. Notice how he mentions this is the thing that bothered him on his day off yesterday (Thursday). Does this mean that the "stuff behind the scenes" that bothered him on Monday is a seperate thing entirely? It kinda has to be, right?

2. He won't be paying the $1200 for tahx guy in one go, but he'll do it in payments instead.

3. He's really putting on the pressure by claiming he already knows he won't be able to pay this month's bills. So instead of doing the usual "I will overdraw my bank account", he's now straight up claiming companies will be bothering him with messages about him being late on payments, having to pay late-fees etc. No idea what to think of that, but it's just something I wanted to point out.

4. This past week he has been really emphasizing the whole "I missed a whole week of income in April". Just to show how extremely predictable DSP is, here's a post I made in the CT trip thread on January 1st:

Yah... even for a predictable dood like DSP, that's still kinda scary. 🐔

What I don't get is why does he think people need to help him pay for this tax guy. That is the lamest begging plot device he could have come up with.

What fan does he think will say "oh boy, I can't wait to give DSP money to pay this tax man for completing his taxes for him"

It just sounds ridiculous.

His main excuse is that he has to have it blowing out the window and it has its own exhaust duct to do so, but it's literally nothing more than like a 3" radius piece of flexible ducting. He could easily buy 10 feet of the stuff and run the hose along the wall, or even tack it up to the ceiling if he didn't want it to get in the way. That shit is not heavy, you could probably get away with just using an adhesive on a plastic bracket.

From what I understood, the reason it needed to be by the window was because it was the furthest distance from where he sits, so it doesn't blow directly on him. I'm not entirely sure why, since he often complains about how hot it gets in there, anyway. The funny thing about this is, he can literally just... turn it. Like, just... turn it in another direction. There's no reason it would have to face the new location of the selfloveseat.

The real reason he hasn't done it is because he's lazy and doesn't want to do it.

Are you fucking kidding me? He doesn't know how to open a webpage for the front-page directory of Twitch ( https://www.Twitch.tv/directory ) and look at the fucking main directory or do a game search?‽ I mean, I always try to approach Phil with zero expectations but somehow he manages to be even more pathetic and useless of a manlet than that wow

He did know at one point. The knowledge has just atrophied to death. I had a post about this back in August

I've long believed that Twitch steamers have their Subscriber numbers available to them on their dashboard, making Phil's "!Subcount" command redundant and needlessly revealing his numbers to his viewers. I stumbled on this post from EddyB. Not only does it confirm my belief, it shows that at one point Phil even knew this himself.

That's what I meant, though. If he rearranged his gameroom so that it made more sense, it would move him closer to the AC, and he couldn't move it so it was the 'furthest away from him possible' because the hose length on those units is like 4 feet. Yeah, he could just turn it, but he'd make up some excuse about that, as well, because he has an excuse for why he doesn't do anything.

So I looked into the various units of that manufacturer and they all have the same sort of exhaust, so I looked up DIY shit on splicing flexible ducts and everything came up about using these little aluminum sleeves with that silver-backed thermal duct tape (which can be pricey, but it wouldn't hurt to have a roll on hand if you're a home-owner -- if an exposed joint pops in winter, then you can at least nigger-rig it with the tape until it's properly fixed).

Plus it'd give him another 'legitimate' donation goal he could put his StreamLabs tracker bar up for, which he'd go ape-shit over.

In fairness, who here expected the faggots to pony up several times for his taxes? Especially how much he raised total. There's always some mong in his chat frothing at the mouth to throw money away. Why to a financial disaster IDK. You'd get more satisfaction burning it or just driving by a group of homeless people and giving them the money. Instead they pick a gout ridden cunt who needs mommy and daddy to pay for him to visit them.

I need to start streaming, clearly physical work is a chumps game.

I'm curious to learn which tax guy will prepare and file your taxes BEFORE you pay them.

Hint: None of them.
And help you negotiate a payment plan because they know you're broke, but then demand payment in full a month later from someone they know never pays their debts.

Fewer than none. Starting to sound like the infamous "dean of a well known school who did his taxes for him at a discount because they were friends" that got him into this situation to begin with.

Seriously, how much fucking money has Phil said he's paid this "Tax Guy" since we started hearing about him January 2018? It's got to be like $8K minimum at this point. He paid $10K to 'deal with his "backtaxes", so $10K-(2014 thru 2016 B&O taxes+late fees)= "Tax Guy" pay; he said he 'already paid thousands and thousands to deal with this, over $4K' when crying near the end of January 2018 about why he was already begging for more munny after the December 2017 begathon, so $4K-2017 B&O taxes="Tax Guy" pay; he said he paid his "Tax Guy" like $1,200 to prepare his 2017 Income Taxes; he said he already paid his "Tax Guy" $1,230 for 2018 Income Tax prep; and now he's saying he owes his "Tax Guy" another $1,200 for work done setting up his payment plan.

Phil, if you did your own taxes you would have enough money to pay them you fucking mong!
Shouldn't Phil have $1,500 extra this month anyway from not paying for the ConnDough's mortgage payment?
This is starting to move from dubious sounding bullshit to blatant lie for me, why the fuck would his "Tax Guy, Accountant, CPA, or whatever you want to call it" do work preparing the Federal payment plan for a guy who can't pay his taxes when he hasn't been paid yet?

He got a tax guy payment plan so the tax guy can talk to the government to get him on a payment plan for the taxes he owes to the government, but not the tax guy. The tax guy has his own payment plan that Phil got a loan for from a local bank (not canon), so he's not actually not paying the tax guy, he's paying the bank payment plan who paid the tax guy outright so the tax guy could get him on a payment plan for the government payment plan.

Sounds good?

Was just about to comment on this too. Definitely belies the fact that it's not an "attorney" and is in fact just a standard accountant.

Phil's whole "negotiate a payment plan" is his usual overexaggeration of what actually goes on. I've had to do a payment plan once, and it even involved an accountant due to a combination of self-employment and more standard employment. Here's how it went: 1) Figure out how much in federal taxes was still owed after withholding. 2) File taxes and acknowledge that I didn't have the money on-hand to pay them (~$7k). 3) Sign up online for a payment plan, offer up a specific amount of money ($200 / month, in my case). 4) IRS accepts so long as there's no extenuating circumstances (previous payment plans, high income with low offered monthly payments) with a relatively tiny penalty and interest added. 5) I set up a monthly electronic withdrawal to make the payments. 6) I paid my shit off over time.

That's it. There would only be a negotiation for an unusually high amount of owed taxes, and even then it would probably revolve more around dropping late fees and interest penalties to reduce the total amount owed.

In short, Phil, in the course of ~1 hour, completely contradicted himself on how the begathon monies were spent. And based on the clip above, has already gone back on that again.

Detractor Beam (pigxdestroyer on Twitter) has pretty much made something like what I was thinking of, highlighting how the "tax" money kept getting diverted. I went back, and found that Phil did in fact talk about the begathon money going only to taxes:

Should be timestamped to 5:56. He very specifically is talking about the two marathons he held, from which he got ~$2500 in tip money. That's the same $2500 that was later revealed to have been used for "bills".

Was just about to comment on this too. Definitely belies the fact that it's not an "attorney" and is in fact just a standard accountant.

Yeah, tax people are like hiring an attorney. You always pay up front because, well, after they've fixed your problem (Or filed your taxes) there's zero motivation for them to actually own up and

Yeah, that negotiate a payment plan thing is complete and utter bullshit. The only thing those 'tax lawyers' that you hear on the radio that can get you to settle for PENNIES ON THE DOLLAR just go and fill out the "Offer in Compromise" request. If this isn't bullshit, he can prove it. You can go to the IRS and request your account transcript, and not only will they tell you what's owed, they redact all the stuff like SSN, address, gross income, etc.

By the way, I read this article yesterday and it reminded me of Dave.

After the midstream break and before he resumed recording for YouTube during today's (05/03/19) Mortal Kombat 11 Salt Stream, Darksydephil did another onscreen begging segment.
