One thing that struck me as very interesting was Vic's statement about wanting to keep as much as possible private. He alluded that there wasn't just stuff he probably wouldn't want airing in public but also things that Monica/Ron really wouldn't want out there for everyone to see.

If some of the women he's slept with were cheating he could want to protect them from being exposed. He's already been outed as a cheater but they haven't. Families could potentially get torn apart here.

Vic also seems like the type of guy who wouldn't want MoRon to be publicly embarrassed further, despite what they've done. We don't know what evidence Vic has and how damaging it might be for Monica or any other VAs.

Before they would only be deposed with no need of going to court for this procedure.

He would've been able to set Vic's date to be first with no reasonable argument for Ty to give for Ron or Monica to be deposed first. Essentially do the reverse of what's happening now. Yep, this. Yaoi and the Christian stuff. And the funny thing is, I'd be willing to bet, no matter how often they bitched and moaned and asked him ridiculous questions about characters engaging in anal, Vic was still nice to these women when they were around him. Maybe even nicer than he'd normally be, to try and get them to like him again. Unfortunately, Vic apparently hasn't considered that, clearly, the only thing that can cut through all the soy running in Ron's veins and get his peen to work properly, is being publicly humiliated. And Monica is apparently in need of a strong, paternal figure in her life to bring out Daddy's belt when she's been misbehaving. Ron's dominating personality just isn't enough for her, for some reason.

As the ProJared dumpster fire continues to burn, I couldn't help but think about the Vic situation as I'm sure others here have.

The most amusing thing about the comparison to me is that within an hour or two of the accusations against ProJared coming out, we got everything. Dick pics, chat logs, firsthand accounts, you name it. All in the fucking dead of night at that.

Why in gods name would Funimation not offer a full retraction of tweets, public statement about his innocence, firing of everyone even tangentially involved, distancing from the VA's, reinstatement of previous contracts and adding in a whole stack of new ones (with something better than the usual At Will employment contract) and a huge pile of money. Why would they want to keep going down this route?

You're making the completely understandable mistake of believing that Funimation is a business that is run like a business.
