Has Tim actually done anything spergy recently? It seems like he's just found a way to make money making what are essentially the news equivalent of react videos.
I remember being impressed by his on-the-ground reporting in Sweden, Occupy protests, etc, but it looks like he may have passed that point in his career now that he can no longer walk around without being recognized.

Social media and being a human news aggregator is making him crazy and he's going to lay off. The van is coming soon, and he's going to try and focus on Subverse and actual reporting.
For all his issues it does feel like he makes an effort to stay self-aware. As many of his videos as I skip through and leave early, I appreciate having them available.

He's going to have a lot more trouble soliciting kids for money from his shady white van than he did getting from them indirectly via the ad revenue on YouTube, though.

Not gonna lie, Subverse has been more interesting than his usual way of reading an article like a bipolar. Certainly compared to the mainstream it's more interesting to watch.
Speaking of bipolar Tim, here's a fun Timcast drinking game:
1) Take a shot every time Tim makes an analogy. Take another shot if the analogy ends with Tim saying he doesn't actually know what the subject in the analogy is (i.e. a football analogy ends with "I don't really understand football") and/or with him just dropping the attempt and continuing with "My point is-"
2) Take a shot every time Tim suddenly drops the subject and goes "Here's a funny story" and starts talking about something else entirely.
3) Take a shot every single goddamned time Tim reminds you that he has Asian/Korean heritage.
4) Take a shot every single goddamned time Tim reminds you that he's "on the left" in excruciating detail.
I'd wager a heavy drinker can last 2-3 episodes of this.

Throwing milkshakes at people isn’t evil nor violent but is a dick thing to do. Imo, it’s still hilarious to see shmucks like Sargon with a milkshake hair dye.
I’d also say he’s inclined to spew out talks about leftist attacks moreso than right extremists doing their attacks. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Tim shift to critizing the right with such a fine tooth comb when the political pendulum swings back.
Now there was this video Tim uploaded some time ago that discussed the difficulty in trusting various media sources. It stuck with me because that whole time he was talking about how bad NewsGuard was. And this stood out because in almost every upload Tim always speaks highly of the validity of NewsGuard’s filter of awful sources.
Turned out the whole video was for Tim’s hidden shilling for his own version of NewsGuard. I remember him saying it would be based on him and others critiquing the validity of 100 or so stories from news outlets and then rate their credibility.
Now I can’t find the video itself. I wonder if he deleted it after criticism or realizing it was impossible on his budget to achieve.

Crowder strikes me as being some flavor of barely-constrained neuroticism just waiting to explode one day, so I agree there. That guest ISIS liaison bit is one of the few things I've ever found consistently entertaining, and as far as I'm aware that guy is just his own act.

Well, whenever he's doing a skit or doing one of those undercover things and not his podcast. It's not like he's done really anything to deserve such treatment. He's not an outright asshole. There's a reason why he doesn't have a lolcow page or whatnot. If it was someone like Sargon or Paul Joseph Watson, by all means it would be pretty fucking funny because they deserve such shit. Not ol' Crowder.
