Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Rude. He has a special place in this...even if he is pretty irrelevant since there's no RWBY stuff going on.

But I'd watch Hei over quite a number of these people. Honestly though, everyone is kind of below Rekieta in terms of the hierarchy in this. Pretty much just watch Rackets or go to the summaries of his vids on the farms and you'll be caught up a lot faster than a 15 minute video. Nick just focuses on the main issue and always keeps something in the back to deliver an extra punch for excitement. He's got the connections and it's why a lot of people go to him.

Hierarchy of what to pay attention to in the Vic situation:

  1. The Beard
  2. Rackets
  3. Soye Tweets/stupidity
  4. Vic Tweets/Con announcements
  5. Funimation and affiliates Tweets
  6. Armzgurl
  7. Shane Stupidity
  8. KickVic Stupidity
  9. Exceptional ISWV members like Perfection and Chambers
  10. Renfamous
  11. ISWV Youtubers
  12. Doxxing on the Farms
  13. Anime Journalists
Does Shane even rank on this list? Also, Orca pod should be at the very bottom.

You have to separate the actors in this and the audience. Those people in the audience trying to use the current popularity of these streams to pimp their own brand is a problem. It's like any other instance, these people should be starting off building off their own talent, but instead they want to capitalize off a movement for insta-success. Then the people who are e-begging with their own go fund me's in chat, most of those people are likely able to make it on their own but are trying to capitalize off the generosity of Istandwithvic donators to get free Gibs.

These people in the audience who are jumping up to get involved like they are will be a problem. At some point they need to put their foot down and just flat out say "we won't read your super chats if you are trying to self promote or e-beg". Vic's case is an entirely separate entity to the social movement that is going on in this thread, on twitter, facebook, youtube, etc. Vic's case can be won and the #Istandwithvic movement still die. The movement itself already has infighting, Nick Rekeita has already had to have a stream where he addressed the infighting and criticism, they claimed to talk to "former GG" people who are advising them on what not to do yet they are heading down that course, they have absolute brainlets like TUG and Yellow Flash as bigger members of their social movement, you have a weird double standard from the entire pro-vic group where they really support KiwiFarms but hate doxing and more stuff.

I think anybody who is giving this movement that much optimism and deference is emotionally compromised but either some like of the characters in the pro-vic side or Vic himself and are choosing to ignore things. Once again separating the court case itself from this social movement. ( I honestly should have to reiterate this point a second time, but someone will pop up with some stupid argument if i do not)
Gotta say, I really don't think the audience changes the message one iota. You keep calling it a "movement," but it literally lives and dies with Vic.

It sounds like you just got into a slap fight with some useful idiots on the internet. You don't have to defend KF's honor or anything.

It's hard to get too upset about people throwing their money at youtubers: a fool and their money are soon parted. They probably would have spent it on pocky, anyways.

Some of the sources for the article live in Texas, which I'd argue means that ANN purposely availed itself to resources in the state of Texas.

Voice actors in Texas (who may or may not have been sources) probably shared links to the article after it was published. If the ANN writer asked voice actors in Texas to tweet the link to help publicize the article, I'd call that an effort to market the article in the state of Texas. I don't have proof of it, but it seems plausible, given the level of involvement that the VAs had with the mission to ruin Vic.

So, some of the website's users are in Texas. To quote an exceptional idiot: "This ain't it, chief."

"Sufficient business contacts" isn't for specific jurisdiction, it's for general jurisdiction for any cause of action. That would mean you could sue them for anything whatsoever within the state. Nobody is arguing that.

There could be specific jurisdiction for this cause of action, though. That would simply require that they purposefully availed themselves of the jurisdiction, by directing their activities to it, acting with knowledge that their actions would have effect within the jurisdiction.

With general jurisdiction, you wouldn't need to justify specific jurisdiction, but you don't need "sufficient business contacts" or any business contacts at all for specific jurisdiction.
Strike the word "business" I guess. I can't imagine actually arguing to a judge that the circumstances warrant extraditing someone from Canada over a civil matter. Not that it wouldn't be hilarious. (Though, it would have prevented the shit-show that is Sargon destroying UKIP.)

I assume the web-server is in Canada, too? So... I don't see what's to gain there, either, unless we're suddenly advocating for internet censorship...

Well, this sure was fun to catch up on. Has anything other than Perfection continually losing his mind happened of worthy note?

I've been here since 1987 and have an IQ of 326 (I took a test on the internet) and even I don't know what was going on.
I read Locke in a monotonous British voice and even I find this whole thing confusing.

Imagine e-posturing on a forum full of autists. Things are slow right now so I guess this is what passes for entertainment for some.

As for WeebWars, I have this unrealistic hope that Vic gets his own Peter Thiel. The serial jellybean abuser getting a major financial backer would cause quite a hysteria I imagine. One can dream...

It's not extradicting. The plaintiffs would need to argue in their complaint why Texas was the appropriate jurisdiction and then the defendants would have to argue in their response why it wasn't. If they just ignored the complaint the risk would be losing by default.

It's a civil case. You don't get extradited if you don't show up. You just lose your case. Then the judgment creditor files a motion in your local court to domesticate the foreign judgment, executes on it, and collects like they would any other judgment.

Perfection did something stupid again? I only now noticed his thread has been moved.
Oh yeah. He's been having it out with Senpai, TUG and even straight up Rackets in the comments section. It's been pretty embarrassing.

Guess this is what happens on a slow day, lots of dumb fighting over nothing

The three major ones are Rekieta, TUG and Yellow Flash. Nick is an actual adult and I'm willing to bet up to 4 bucks that he'll be fine. TUG is borderline, he was tested during that CPS fiasco and came close to a cowworthy meltdown, but managed to still act reasonably well. Flash has a history of drunk streams and sperging, it's a matter of time for him. I'll be surprised if he doesn't have his thread within 12-18 months.
I give TUG a pass on that because someone has apparently called his job before and now they're openly talking about fucking with his kid over nothing. That's a pretty valid reason to flip out. KickVic/Anti-CG calling him a sperg, a grifter, or whatever is one thing, toying with the idea to call CPS because you don't like their videos is fucked up

Why anyone has any sort of moral inkling about the crowdfunding/monetization is beyond me. If anything, it's entertainment, not unlike paying for a Netflix account or a game download. If it's anything more than that, it's simply a middle-finger to all of the fuckers that have been meddling in people's hobbies for years now. I personally don't mind it, especially since it's a slap in the face to the perpetual GFM types like Armzgurl and the other danger-hairs who can't even afford cat food. If it riles them up, so much the better.

Anybody know what Homeberg is sperging out on twitter about? Specifically today, I mean.

Same. It's hard to keep your composure when they target your family, especially your kid.
