The technical explanation for this is "She is a lying Ho wut Lies!" Notice how the first thing Ron and Monica's lawyer did was contact Ty to accept service? Notice how the first thing Funi's lawyers did was the same. Even though we don't know who they are yet, we know they accept service for their clients. There's a reason for this. That reason is doing what Monica did looks sorta kinda really really fucking bad in front of the Judge. Judge's have only so much patience and forgiveness. Don't waste it on stupid fools errands like playing hide and seek with the fucking process servers. It's not gonna make the filings go away. Better to save the Mulligan for something that can be undone, such as a blown deadline. If Jamie's lawyer is not accepting service for Jamie, then no Jamie does not have a lawyer. It really is that fucking simple.
