Since a "race" is really not a biological concept as much as a laymans term you can call about anything a "race" if you want. It is still quite arbritrary and misleading to use it on humans. While we for the longest time thought humanity had races akin to dogs and cats, most people who know what they are talking about have now put aside these ideas."the fact to even claim there are different human 'races' is seen as racist in my country"
The fact that americans have replaced the idea of genetical races with a weird mishmap of skin colour and cultural "race" (FUCKING LOL) just shows the retardness of Americans. The idea that you are somehow a different race than other people, with your own set of genetical traits probably opened the door for identity politics. All this could have been avoided if Americans just once in a while picked up a book that wasn't the bible, but alas, that is probably to much to ask for.
Identity politics is as old as America itself. With everyone being "irish-american", "Scandinavian" or "italian-american", or some shit like that. Truth is that there is probably not a single population in Europe that has been untouched for more than 800 years. Invasions, migration and cross-border fucking is the name of the game in Europe. We are all mutts. Well, except for the Icelandic maybe. Those beautiful, inbreed, fish-eyed demigods.
So back on point. The reason why it seems racist to talk about races, is that you have to go out of your way to make the distinctions neccessary to classify people as races. It is not as bad as calling yourself "cat-humankin" or having a retarded idea that you somehow change gender every even week, but it is in the same category.
