Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

I think she's just being sassy and getting people on social media worked up. If that's the case, it seems some of you autists are being played like a fiddle by the dumbest cunt of the bunch. Nice.

She's most likely taken the paper and has been, for all effects, served. I doubt she's dumb enough to ignore a final summons and pretend she didn't get it but hey If that's actually the card she's playing, then she loses by default and I'm ok with that!
So her big plan is to make people laugh at her online?

Well met and well played! Nick's gonna be sobbing all the way to the bank with the extra $1000 or so that hot little trash fire will bring in. (And litterally nobody's even calling her out on instagram, last I checked.)
At this point, the only thing I can guess is that she believes she is Judgement Proof, meaning that even if she loses by default, they can't really take anything from her (and since it's Texas, they can't even garnish her wages). Which if that's the case, it's possible she intends to completely shoulder any part of her damages on the others in the suit, which I'm sure will go over well.
Man, Texas is sounding more and more baller all the time.

Would destroy her credit though. Also if that fiance ever pulls the trigger and he has any seizable assets i believe they can be fair game.

I still don't think she's dumb enough to try this as a defense and there will be a response on the 17th.

This has gotta be another shit 'ha, i troll you' attempt. So far they've only made her look like a complete moron though.

She is most likely online trolling. But it is going to bite her. It was idiotic to play games with the process server and it was truly retarded to putout those tweets. See here’s what is going to happen. She’s lost her Muligan. If her attorney requests more time to resoond to this case, already in progress, denied! If he is one minute late on June 17th in filing Ty Beard will file a motion for default. Yeah it’s normally a Dick move, but it puts all of her antics in front of the Judges eyes. And is perfectly justified in this situation. He shows where she admits to having the lawsuit papers and providing them months ago. All the process dodging was to gain more time for fruitless purpose. She knew of the motions for alternate service. She knew the moment the papers hit her front door. Let’s see how that plays out for her. She’ll get to find out just how much Judges Love her sense of humor.

In her mind, it justifies that if morons can fall for such a blatant lie then they must be wrong regarding the lawsuit as well. She's just reinforcing her previous conclusions and asserting dominance (in her own head) in a pathetic way.

Maybe not as pathetic as people who are taking her at face value though... when we know she's a lunatic and has lied through her teeth before.

She's been playing the "you people are dumber than me" 4th grade tactics for weeks now. It's somehow reassuring her in her obvious desperation.

I don't follow a lot of people on Twitter. Are people actually losing their shit over this? I'm sure the usual youtubers will call her out, but again: crying all the way to the bank.

I've no objection if she wants to play the "pretending to be retarded" card. Her credibility is even more fucked, it looks bad in court, and it does her absolutely zero favors. So... "why are you hitting yourself?"

Man, Texas is sounding more and more baller all the time.

It not so easy. Her bank accounts can still be seized. We know she's works; she gets paid to voice act. Once the judgment is made against her, she is on the hook for whatever damages she has accrued. If she gets married, her spouse is on the hook with her. Her bank accounts can and will be seized. Even something that would normally be exempt, like Social Security income, can be seized if its mixed in a bank account with the rest of her money.

If she has any property above and beyond what is normally protected, its probably not safe. For instance, among the things protected from asset seizure is "Your homestead, up to 10 acres urban property (single or family) and up to 100 acres rural (single) and 200 acres (family)". However, if she, say, owns a second home, a vacation home, or her family home, those are probably not protected. Household items are only protected assets up to $30,000 for a single person and $60,000 for a family. Only one car is protected, per licensed driver in the house. She isn't married yet, so if she own more than one automobile, the second car onward is fair game. Other protected items include two firearms, tools of your trade, sporting equipment, bicycles, 2 horses, 12 head of cattle and other items.

And the judgment against her can be renewed every 10 years. So she could potentially have this judgement hanging over her for her entire life. Any money she makes can be collected upon by Vic the minute it hits her bank account, even after she marries. And now that the lawsuit has been filed, she can't move or transfer any assets legally.

I can think of one other possible scenario: that some wiin tore the papers off her door for the winnery of it. Not sure if posted here or elsewhere but at least one rando has taken pictures of her door before - it's not that much of a stretch to think someone else could have come and 404ed the papers.

It would be a terrible move, especially because Marchi apparently has some sort of surveillance system, but still, wiins are going to be wiins... I wouldn't bet on it having happened, just saying that it could have.

It's gotta be one of those "I'm strong in the face of adversity" type situations she's trying to play out right now. She's "clapping back at harassers", "the process server not only lied about trying to serve me 5 times, but also lied about the ziptied papers!"
Long time internet psychology tells me she cares much more about how her fans see her than the real legal ramifications of her actions.
This. And then when she gets rekt in court she can go around whining that she's been #VicTimised by the patriarchy

That's not how civil cases work and this has been explained numerous times over half a dozen threads.

No shit, dude. I was being hyperbolic for the purposes of emphasizing a larger trend of delusional behavior among entitled idiots.

Hardly matters, she's still served. And with all the antics on twitter she has pulled, and the fact that she claimed her lawyer already got the papers, and how people have literally tweeted the documents in question at her and have constantly told her to answer service, she hardly has a leg to stand on with the court, even if someone took the papers. She has had plenty of chances to be served. The court won't give her the benefit of the doubt now.

If shes a narcissist then shes really just doing all of this on Twitter because shes mentally disturbed, which is sad.

Yep, that's the kicker about Judgements, even if they can't collect now, they can hold that over her head basically for as long as they like.

Not really. Joint and several liability. This isn't a suit against her by herself. How it works is, even if she was found guilty for 30% of the damages, and Mo/Ron 65% of the damages with Funi only on the hook for 5%, if MoRon and Jamie can't pay, Funi is then on the hook for everything else and can get slapped with the full cost. Then Funi would have to file a separate suit against Jamie and MoRon to get their portion of damages after the fact. And trying to do so would be a wasted effort as it'd have already been shown the other stooges have no money.

This is why everyone is saying it is in Funi's best interest to settle early. If they get a settlement which severs the connection between them and the other defendants they could get away with paying peanuts vs being slapped with a (potentially) multi-million dollar cost that they cannot recover from the other parties.

I'm assuming that Funi will actually settle first and that is why they are being allowed to wait until after everyone else has filed. They actually have the most to lose because they have NONE of the protections the others have, being a full on business. Its only in their best interest to settle early and Marchi will be on the hook.

Basically Marchi's little stunt likely means her career's getting blowtorched by the end of this correct?:optimistic:

I wouldn't be surprised if both Jamie and Monica's official careers are on their last legs because of this stunt regardless of outcome. They'll be known as the troublemakers who cant keep their mouth shut and bring a bad reputation on any company they deal with and will gladly drag anyone and everyone they can with them to court for their idiocy.

The VA defendants don't have "wages" anyway so garnishing wages was never even an issue with them.
