No law expert here other than the little bits I've researched, but my assumption is even if she defaults,she can still be sent a subpoena to be deposed and testify against the others in the case. If she were to then ignore this, she could be held in contempt of court and at that point could potentially face jail time. Now, this would obviously be the dumbest possible move to make, which given recent events, leads me to believe it is also the most likely outcome.

Which is why I think she's doing it on purpose. Because it's working as intended, annoying the fuck out of the people she regards as her enemies and attackers. And she can just block anyone who attempts to rub it in her face when the situation actually stops going her way, not that I necessarily think she believes it will.

I fucking love it. A couple of pieces of paper were enough to break the mask of sanity that this woman had on for months and drive her to a level of batshit crazy that would make even Mon & Ron combined blush with envy.

Shit like this is why I love sleeper lolcows. You put so much faith in them to chimp the fuck out and it takes a really long time for them to do so, but eventually your belief in them pays off and pays off all the way.

Personally, I think Funimation is just buying time and that instead of settling they'll double down in some dumb way when it's their turn to move, but it still makes sense to give them their opportunity not to be stupid if there's any chance to avoid dealing with a well heeled party in actual litigation.

Her recent spergery adds further weight to the theory that she hasn't lawyered up. Competent counsel would have told her to:
1) stop dodging service and;
2) shut the fuck up.
Even if she successfully appeals a default judgement on the grounds of improper service (good luck proving that), the suit can simply be re-filed. Meaning the process starts over and she will have pissed off the court with all of her time wasting antics. Good job.

Maybe, but we know that Soye has a lawyer and that hasn't stopped him from running his mouth on Twitter. Sure it's not as much as he did before, but he clearly doesn't know when to (or is so addicted that he can't) quit. Of course that begs the question as to whether or not Casey Erik is competent counsel.

I think this is the most likely state now - she has the lawsuit, she's going to do something about it; she either has talked to a lawyer or is planning on getting one this week BUT she's just finding being stupid on twitter too much fun to stop.

Alternatively she really could be that stupid but I don't know how that would be possible.

None of their lawyers are following these spergs on twitter. Why would they be? The lawyers has given their advise and expects it to be followed. They aren’t being paid to babysit these D listers social media. The lawyers will find out whatretarded spergs their clients have been when BHBHdrops a load of filings on their desks that include Social Media Defamation and stupidity occurring up to the minute of the filing. Look at how shocked and amazed BHBH was to find these nonstop fonts of ongoing discovery. They had never seen anything like it. And weren’t looking for it until people like us started cataloging it and sending it in to them. MoRonica and Marchi’s Lawyers will be the same. They aren’t policing their clients social media. They’ve likely never encountered clients who would act like this before. They don’t know to look for it. Yet. Their first real wake up call will probably be on Friday.

Notice how Vic is acting? How careful he is on Social Media to not discuss anything regarding this. Notice how Richard Meyer is similarly low key. That’s how they expect clients to behave.
