I'm seeing a bit of the good ole Hero Hei talk. I've been around YouTube long enough to know the whole channel getting locked thing is a bit too easy so unfortunately, you sometimes have to burn stuff down. Marriland for example deleted all of his videos due to people giving him two strikes in which he has no way to recover all of that lost content. The only way around this right now is for rando channels to be the ones to upload and preserve it as them going down is no big deal compared to people who make a living off of this. ANN are both morons and idiots because people have had to succumb to that for years and years due to this system. It's why getting a sponsorship is actually very important due to this commonly abused system.
If I was someone like Kotaku or Polygon, I would use this to my advantage. If my competitor was sinking their own ship, of course I'd right a factual article and ask for comments on both sides (or maybe even Nick's). If any of you guys are reading this thread. THINK, YOU IDIOTS! Most of these YouTubers are pulling up articles from websites like yours. Getting a good standing with them profits you more than working with those other journalists. That io9 "Hit piece" is mere chump change if you end up working together with these YouTubers. They'd be more inclined to link the articles and even give a better word. That's reaching 20k people who normally would not come across said article. That's just something to think about for the future because all of this is going to end and the next big thing will pop up sooner or later. Drama never ends.
