Debate the Ethics of Vic Mignogna - TARD FIGHT

I think Vic being fired for misconduct was the right thing to do, should they have done it earlier this whole thing wouldn't have escalated as much as it did.
At the end of the day Funimation and Rooster Teeth were within their legal rights to cut contact with him. They could fire him because they don't like his con pants or because he's packing better biceps than men half his age.

That was never the issue. As Funimation, you can't make a statement that a reasonable person would interpret as Vic being fired for harassment. You can't defame people.

I did enjoy his video on the Shounen jump vs Marvel and DC in the comics and Manga publishing industry but this whole Vic thing has been muddling his content
He's kind of an autistic mushmouth, tbh. I do still watch his videos sometimes, but only if I'm desperate for something to listen to while I'm doing shit.

Doesn't seem like a bad guy at all, but I don't understand why he has a following other than people like me who are too lazy to follow this Vic shit on Twitter.

I did overlook things my apologizes, it was someone else, though he shouldn't have associated himself with the Gofundme. As for the question for where I stand. I think Vic being fired for misconduct was the right thing to do, should they have done it earlier this whole thing wouldn't have escalated as much as it did.

Actually, had they [Funimation, FUNi VAs, keyboard warriors] not publicly crucified him, things wouldn't have escalated this far.

Not Overtly, I don't like how he got people to pay for his lawyer despite the fact that he is worth 4 million dollars. If he was being sued I would have understood the need to defend himself but when he is the one suing it comes off as using your fans.
There is a very good amount of PR value to be squeezed out of the world at large seeing just how loved and respected Vic is by his fans. It's a 'good look' (in your parlance) to be seen as loved by the community.

Just play the tape out in your head. If he didn't take that opportunity, he would've looked worse for having turned it down.

I'm not even gonna address the notion that accepting help was unethical bEcAuSe hE aLrEaDy HaD hIs oWn mOnEy.

That was a recent development. My assumption is that those wealth evaluations took place before the move.
I have wondered more than once if Vic's planning to move back to Texas was part of what ramped up the hysteria amongst some of his co-workers? Fear of losing work to him? Uncomfortable with having him more involved in the day to day at Funimation? Was Iago feeling a little heat from Japanese bosses?? *Shrugs*

I don't have a Twitter, so most of the things I'm hearing are from Youtubers when I googled Vic, most of the information I was finding was months old. It gave me the impression that Yellow and Hiel are just riding the coat tails on something that many people have moved on from.

This is still got a lot of hot embers.

The click-baiting Youtubers aside, Nick Rekieta's a good resource for actual developments. He's on stream with Ty Beard, right now.
Edit: ALSO, #KickVic has not moved on. They are STILL trying to ruin his life and all his convention appearances. Check out the comments under this announcement:

The only people trying to move on are the cretins that think it's okay to ruin a man's life and career with 0 repurcussions. Luckily those people are finding out that isn't going to fly this time.
