Will MoRon still have Casey as their lawyer if he's really gone from the firm? Or would they replace him with another attorney at the firm?

Would this be a good excuse for MoRon's law firm to ask for a delay, if the firm got rid of Casey?

I would assume they specifically hired Casey with him having one of the paralegals of Kessler helping with research. If he gets fired from Kessler Collins, then they remain his clients unless they decide to drop him for being fired.

Not sure but it did seem implied that Ty applied a different approach with his law firm being more team oriented instead of each lawyer is on their own.

It seems unlikely that Casey Erick vanishing (if he has) from Kessler Collins has to do with the KickVic trial. There just hasn't been enough activity there. If he's gone, I would wager it has something to do with that other case, where the client was suing over how he handled her case (don't remember the details off the top of my head)

@AnOminous looked into that case and didn't think it had much merit.

Find out the WHY. No way. Companies don't talk about that stuff. Best bet would NOT be to call them like a sperg asking if Casey was fired or whatever. Best bet would be to call as "potential client" looking to speak to Casey at the recommendation of your friend Ron Toye in regards to a defamation case you have been named as the defendant in.

For the anime and video game fan in me, this rings bells of Bravely Default's take on religious political movements.

Spoiler: spazzing about JRPGs

One of the villain groups in Bravely Default is a movement known as Anticrystalism, which was formed to confront religious and political corruption by the world's foremost religious organization. However, the game is brilliant in how both sides have their points, but also their faults; Anticrystalism unsurprisingly devolves into a hardcore confrontational tyranny that kills and genocides anyone that doesn't share their beliefs, and they are bloodthirsty for the destruction of said religious organization so they can use the crystals in their own way.

I've always loved JRPGs for their anti-cult and religious extremism themes, but thankfully the minds behind the magic know when the world turns and know what's up. With how the SJW and atheism movement is going, they've come to show they're no better than those they despise.

One of the major reasons the SJWs were absolutely desperate for GamerGate to declare leaders, to the point that "I'm the Leader of GamerGate" was an early in joke, was because leaders would allow them to tar, feather, isolate, destroy, and then tie everyone else in the movement to their smear jobs. Their attacks on Nick isn't just revenge, but a desperate attempt to make him persona non grata and, through him, every single person who ever cites him, watches him, follows him, goes on his show, et cetera -- including Vic, Ty Beard and BHBH.

It's the inverse of how they all pretend the ADL or SPLC or HopeNotHate or what have you are so credible, so virtuous, so awesome, so wise, such crusaders for social justice... so that they can all cite them and borrow the shared respectability. It's WAY easier than trying to puff up every tidybowl haired cunt or male feminist trying to worm their way into companies or sneak around emailing payment processors to deplatform their -- as in, the party as a whole -- enemies.

How do you counter this? No idea. These Neo-Marxist types are pros at identifying a weakness in a culture or institution and hammering at it until things start to crack apart, and this (combined with payment processor targeting) is a big, big fucking crack.

But if the Right wants to start, they need to start creating their own versions of the SPLC and other such groups, and everyone, from the lowest "LUL SARGOY THE FGGT, trying to actually do something instead of just shitposting, what a stupid quarternigger" exceptional individual on 8ch to idiots like the Ben Shapiros of the world need to recognize a respectability bunker for what it is. The problem is... one thing I've noticed with the right is that if ANYONE gets ahead of the others, the long knives come out and everyone else tries to destroy the poor sonofabitch who gets ahead of the pack. So good luck.

Everyone's sick and tired of the attempts of the fusion of the sterilizing homogenization of corporate captialism with SJW "progressive" shit garbage to where every attempt has lost billions in revenue. They should calm down and realize that undoubtedly Ty and the Amazons already asked Vic about this woman's story since it was spread around a while back, and they must have been satisfied with his response.

I'm going to assume it's for some boring reason like trying to lessen the "harassment" or spam Casey is certainly getting instead of any sort of firing, though it would be funny as hell. Too bad it's childs-play to go back and get an archived version.

That was my first thought. They're probably getting calls or emails from exceptional people and are trying to put a bandaid on the problem.

Even assuming that PirateCanvas fed bad information about his call with the relevant administration, or said administration was mistaken about their hiring history, and assuming that this mentioned 2017 report that would have placed Vic in a different state at the time was truthfully amended, and assuming, without comparative pictures that the person she points out as herself is in fact her (we actually have pictures of her from back then, I think), the only thing Michelle is presently able to demonstrate is that Vic was in the same state as her at the time, working in the same project.

Which, without further evidence and repeated demonstration of people misrepresenting their experiences or observations of him, only brings her allegations up to the level of "when, where(ish), but no confirmed what/how". She impugned herself already when she immediately blocked those who asked for corroborative evidence after inviting people to ask questions. And as far as I'm concerned, at least, she further impugned herself when she decided to return to the topic with this "proof" while also saying that it's not for the people who actually asked for the proof.

And that's on top of 1989 Virginian laws being weird. Then again, the concept of the age of consent has been handled so stupidly and inconsistently in this country past probably the 19th century we might as well either raise the age of consent to a uniform 25 or outlaw premarital sex altogether and establish a uniform minimum marriage age.

Vic married a woman named Seliece in 1995. Seliece had two daughters from a prior relationship. They divorced in 2002 in Texas.

The ring in that picture is on the right hand. There was a movement among young evangelicals in the 80s to pledge chastity until marriage and they'd wear a "wedding " band on their right ring finger. Don't know if many still do that nowadays or if that's what he did here but it was a big thing in the 80s.

We've already countered it. Remember that at the beginning, all of the burden was on Vic. Then Nick and Ty stepped in to give him some breathing room while they took care of legal matters. Shortly after, YF, Hero, Senpai, and TUG stepped in to give them even more breathing space.

Not everybody likes the ISWV YouTube talking heads, but they've done Vic and Ty a big favor by diverting the attention of non-primary targets on KV's side.

Without them, Marzgurl wouldn't have been distracted trying to dox Flash or Hero. Renfamous wouldn't have gotten herself suspended and returned to her hug box. They kept them occupied fighting battles during the day and Nick would come in at night to clean everything up and catch every mistake the idiots made. Imagine if they didn't return to their hug box and kept attacking without any resistance, most of the fans wouldn't show up to his appearances because they don't have any social support. Now look at the social blade statistics for their Twitter, it has dropped tremendously. Vic wouldn't kust be winning the lawsuit, he would reclaim his reputation and restore morale.

Every day that went by, there was more and more ISWV content on social media than there were KV posts. The past week was the only time KV ever struck at the same time in a long time and it caused some chaos, but the reality it is that ISWV have gotten so good at dissecting their predictable behavior that the damage gets mitigated more and more as time passes.

I'd only add to this that the evidence and legal theories all seem to align with 'most' of the ISWV side. Until some real KV anti-Vic evidence shows up, this has made me side with Vic, I'll turn on a dime if he really is proven to be what KV claims, however nothing has shown up and I've done a moderately deep dive on this. What I do see is someone who is somewhat religious and who appears to actually like his fan base, Vic goes out of his way for fans.

As always there may be some information that I haven't uncovered which would change my mind, but after months of this none has come out and given the amount of both sides releasing stuff and talking, I suspect there actually is no 'bad for Vic' evidence to be had.

That makes me think this is a play against Vic, potentially because he has bible-study at cons with fans, possibly because he's wildly more popular than other VAs (mainly because even weebs can tell that Vic actually seems to LIKE his fans and goes the extra mile).

You retain the firm, and they assign you the most appropriate lawyer for your case. Of course you can ask for a certain lawyer, and the firm will usually not have a problem with that unless that lawyer is utterly unsuitable (for instance you ask for the great criminal defence lawyer your buddy used, but you actually need a contracts specialist etc)

Depends on a bunch of things. When exactly the new lawyer takes over, especially in relation to things like upcoming hearings/motions etc. How much, if any, involvement the new lawyer has had in the case up until now etc. Of course this is one of those situations where not having previously pissed the judge off with bullshit shenanigans would be super helpful....
