Uh huh! Suuuure! Sorry something here doesn’t pass the smell test. And I don’t mean Casey moving to another firm. “Casey was offered Partner at another Firm” Yeah, why would another firm pull in some dude off the street and offer him Partner? It doesn’t generally work that way. Unless Casey and friends split off and formed their own brand new firm. Which begs a few other questions, the most notable being Casey clearly was not on a partnership path at Kessler Collins. Which says a lot.

And why would Kessler Collins be oh so enthusiastic to partner with this mysterious new firm, and split the billing with them? I mean “Wow! See now MoRonica have 2 lawfirms representing them! And 2 is better than 1!” Yeah! Especially when those firms have reason to hate each other and are likely poaching each other’s billing. It sure will be fun to see how that turns out. Because 2 lawfirms are certainly not less expensive then one. In fact having 2 firms will probably triple the defendants costs. Because they aren’t just paying to deal with court and the plaintiff, but with each other.

You’re right Shane. This sounds exactly like something that Ron would think is great! :)Nothing:)to:)worry:)about:)!

This is going to be hilarious come Monday.

Does every SJW project like a film club?

I found this on a certain twitter account. I'll admit that it's very related to Anime News Network, which is pretty much a college 2000s anime club put into a professional job setting, so, yeah, these guys do.

I spoke with @DefinitelyNotSane about the pictures linked by the Michelle account, and he concludes that they were most certainly shopped.

Legal action has costs associated with it, even if it's only filing fees and transcript costs. Disbursements are separate from fees, so you can still need money to cover those even if you're no paying for legal representation itself.

But the court has been known to laugh hysterically at “pro bono” attorneys who later attempt to get legal fees reimbursed from the other party. Actual court costs is one thing, but if you go pro bono the judge isn’t going to let you rake in billable hours from the other party.

Depends on the case. Civil rights cases have fee shifting provisions. So do copyright cases. A lot of organizations fund their existence largely by filing civil rights cases, and the organization itself can collect, in an exception to the general rule that organizations run by non-lawyers don't qualify for such.

Contingency cases usually aren't called "pro bono" as such because cases where the lawyer stands to collect nothing, like criminal defense, are more easily characterized that way.

More block headed accusation that keep on coming.

I see that IStandWithVic consists of Dale Gribble, Boomhauer, Hank Hill, and Bill Dautrive, who apparently shed the weight. Good on him.

I'm dying laughing as I type this post. I can't wait for Anime News Network and Funimation to shill this. I also have a feeling we'll be getting Gamergate and Pride Power Entertainment in as potential litigators too.

Oh, oh I'm dyin' here. Who knows? Maybe they'll have Beavis and Butthead in here too!

Todd Gaiden debriefing.

Overall
Gay ops observed: 0 (unless you count the lights cutting off in his signing area for a few minutes)
Panel seats occupied: Most
Autographs signed: Plenty
Fangirls (and guys) : Happy
Jessie Thotmore : Thoughtless

All in all... Uneventful in regards to anything weeb wars related.

I'm thinking of being on the ground for Super World Con in San Jose, June 28-30. Most likely just one day. It'll be interesting since Vic is not the most famous person there, since he'll be rubbing shoulders with people like Deion Sanders and Joe Montana.

Do costhots get paid for autographs or do they just go to play dress up?
If they're there just as guests or "vendors" then it's up to them or people taking pictures of/with them. If they're an advertised con guest... maybe?

This will be interesting to see since Deion Sanders is also a Christian. Also, gayops wouldn't be the wisest choice, but since KickVic is filled with people who aren't the sharpest, I can see a gayop.
