It was absolutely John Landis' fault that those people died. The fact that he got away with it was a miscarriage of justice and shows how money trumps justice in Hollywood. He may not have wanted to kill those kids, but his negligence and psychotic scheduling caused the accident. The very fact that those kids were there violated California labour laws. Thankfully, there were social consequences for his actions though, apparently he ended up friendless and blacklisted by countless people. Spielberg used to regularly visit the Landis home, but after that incident he avoided him like the plague. That anyone would cheer for your form of justice is legitimately terrifying. Everyone deserves a defense, but that becomes impossible when the accusations are vague and anonymous. Even so, you already made a claim that was demonstrably untrue. You said John Landis murdered three people. Not only did the court find that be not true, he was never even charged with murder.
This is why you're afraid. It's not because Max Landis has extremely powerful lawyers, it's that someone might start poking holes in your story if it were put under an ounce of scrutiny. There's $24 million dollars in the Time's Up GoFundMe and you could easily make your own. You have the full support of the public and the media. Everyone is on your side, yet you want to claim otherwise.
Bill Cosby is sitting in a jail cell right now so don't try to feed us some bullshit about how the son of a washed up director is untouchable.
Seriously, forget about this argument, forget about Max, and read up on this case. It is infuriating that John Landis is walking free after what he did.
